Absolutely shambles

We are trying to buy 2 fridge freezer with 1 door reversal, even paid for express delivery in 3 working days. Now it looks like it will be at least 6 weeks for delivery and we keep getting conflicting information.
I think we are on our 6 unsuccessful call with their customer service.

Absolute waste of time and money

Absolute waste of time and money! Do not buy from them. We bought a cooker and two months later, it still does not work and they haven’t managed to collect and refund. Avoid at all costs!

Unreliable for the elderly

During the hot weather 12/08/22 I ordered an electricQ slimline ECQ Evaporative Air Conditioner over the telephone. It was classed as refurbished so asked what that meant ...I was told it was new but the box was broken but nothing wrong Grade A1
I paid £79.98 ..total paid £89.97 with rapid delivery.
My first concerns were that to make payment I would receive an email with details how to make the payment and I would receive a reply to say payment had been excepted.
As I’m of an older generation I was very nervous, but made the payment and waited...and waited ..and waited. Approx 4 hours pasted and was anxious that my money was safe, so I rang them again to be told the the phone lines are now closed, so tried again and was told they were busy , hung on for 1/2 hour, then hung up. Tried again later, by now I was very concerned about my money, also the cost of phone calls as it’s not a cheap number, this time told they were busy , but if I press 1 they would call me back, as I was 4th in line ..I thought OK. And waited and wait no call came. So called again and got into another queue but waited, eventually I was answered, told the employee about my concerns and had not received an email authorising my payment, he looked as said he’d just sent it and it appeared. I complained vigorously.
I received a return call later that evening after I’d sorted it all on my own.
On receiving my air cooler it had NO instructions at all, I have emailed them for instructions but as to today 17/08/22 have not heard a word.
I would not order from this company again.
I understand trust pilot have given then a 4 star rating,
can I trust Trust Pilot ????

I am buying a fridge freezer and a NIGHTMARE

I am buying a fridge freezer. I swear I will not buy bulky item and which has a complication from an online shop. It is just so stressful. I would rather pay 20% more for a hassle-free service. Buy from Curry or John Lewis for bulky items.
They book you in for delivery without sending you a confirmation until the last minute or even none. You call and check many times, wait for 20 - 40 mins for the phone to be answered. The first time, they sent email and txt message the night before. One said they would come in the morning slot; while the other said they would come at afternoon before 16:36. Then you called them the next day to check. They said in the afternoon. We waited until 17:15, no call, no show. You tried to call, office was closed. Then 17:30 they finally called you and said we had no room in our truck to take your old fridge. Ok ... you called the next day and book again. They confirmed to come on Monday. No email confirmation. We called on Monday morning, and they said no booking on the system. OK, now they rebook me for Tuesday. You want to put a bet if they come or not? Story to be continued ....

Good service all round

After ordering washing machine read some terrible reviews. I obviously became a little worried about my order. However apart from a telephone call immediately after I placed the order which was obviously a call pestering me to take out a warranty on purchase I cannot find any complaint regarding Appliancesdirect order date given, day before time slot given and the two guys who delivered item were friendly, courteous and efficient.

Never ever use this company

Never ever use this company. For refurbished read broken or dirty smelly fridge freezer. Customer service tell you whatever you want to hear and make promises they don't keep. Then you have to chase to get refund. Dreadful experience. I posted a positive review too quickly only to discover agent had not done what said they would. Usually use ao.com... who are great.

Do yourself a favour and do not buy…

Do yourself a favour and do not buy anything from this company.
I bought a dishwasher and paid for installation.
1) Dishwasher arrived without the required fittings for installing as an integrated unit
2) The installation team said they could not install it as they were not 'plumbers' - luckily I had a handyman around and he fitted it in 5 minutes
3) The integrated door was poorly fitted and has fallen off. I am in the process of resolving this which isn't easy as:
a) Each email is answer by a different person (AI bot?)
b) Waiting times for calling are 20 mins+
(I am currently waiting for 16.07 mins)
c) I was informed that a team would arrive today and an email informing me of the 2 hour window would be sent yesterday evening.
d) No email, hence the 16.07 (16.46 now) wait on customer services
I'm losing the will to live!
Holy cow. How can a company be so awful and still function. I can only summise that they have a business model which allows for pissing people off on mass. A low cost base etc which then makes me wonder about the actual products...
Up to you, but you could be entering a whole world of pain here. Stop before it's too late.

Good Company Overall.

Occasionally I find their customer services hard to navigate and to make contact with, hence only 4 stars.

However on the whole this is a very trustworthy and reliable company, I will continue to use Appliances Direct.

Fraudulent Criminals

Purchased a Bosch Cooker Hood from Appliances direct for our first flat as old one was faulty.

Delivery was quick enough, however when electrician went to fit the new cooker hood, it was faulty and did not work (all electric source was checked and found to be good) I then contacted Applinaces direct to arrange a return & refund however after stating they had arranged a collection via DPD, i checked with DPD and the tracking number provided was totally false. After several arranged pick ups, not once has DPD been to collect, reason i believe is because Appliances Direct never actually organised this.

I am now left with a faulty cooker hood and £120 out of pocket.

They are the worst company i have ever had dealings with and is nothing short of criminal the outift they are running here. I couldnt stress enough NEVER to buy anything from this company, unless you really like kitchen appliances that are used as big metal ornemants.

dont buy from them - bought an oven - damaged in transit - same item on website was put up 100£ ( still cheaper than others ) , they wanted me to pay to get rrplacement - literally same one - spent hors on phone being cut off etc... will never ever buy again - save yourself the pain dont bother

Do not use this company.
I ordered a Gas BBQ and paid a lot of money to Appliances direct for expedited delivery. After 14 days I have still not received it despite numerous banal insincere emails from customer services apologising for the inconvenience. I am now trying to get a refund with equally as much difficulty.
Definitely do not use this company.

Never use Appliance Direct

I wish i had looked into this company before using.
After 7 months my new washing machine started to burn rubber smoking after a spin. A new drum was fitted and two weeks later the machine was again smoking. Whirlpool have agreed it needs replacing but this has to be done through Appliance Direct. You would think this would be simple.
I have been without a machine now for two weeks now and looks like it could take a further two weeks whilst they collect it and inspect it.
Will never use them again.

Do not use this fraudulent company

Appliances Direct are a massive scam. They sent two appliances - a washing machine and a tumble dryer - and both were faulty. They state that they are A1 condition but both had clear damage marks and did not work. The dryer was burning up and making a terrible noise and the washing machine was leaking from the front and flooded the kitchen.
The dryer was replaced and actually works, yet it is not A1 condition.
The replacement washing machine is leaking (this time from inside) straight away and has flooded the kitchen again.
Do not use Appliances Direct unless you enjoy awful customer service that is outsourced to India, low quality products, unsafe products, or simply like wasting your hard earned money.
This company should be investigated as their operations are clearly based on selling broken and unsafe appliances to generate revenue.

Utter rubbish

Utter rubbish. Ordered a new bathroom suit in November, was told everything was in stock but nothing ever turns up, lost various plumbers that was scheduled in for work, still waiting at end of Jan. Please avoid these people are useless

This is the worst company i have ever…

This is the worst company i have ever dealt with.
Shocking customer service.
Eventually cancelled my order
3 emails from me- 4 emails from them- 3 Phone calls to them- And another email saying they are only refunding me a fraction of what i originally paid them. Totally disgraceful.

Useless!

Like others, I ordered an appliance and selected a delivery date (5 days after I made the order) and have been completely stood up!
Why arrange delivery for something you don't have in your warehouse, then let me know a week after my supposed delivery that you wont take delivery into your warehouse for another 2 weeks?!? Why lie about being able to fulfil my order? Should have gone somewhere else!
Tried customer service number multiple times, on hold until hold runs out and you are requested to ask for a call-back from customer services. Requested 3 call-backs and still haven't got one! Utterly Hopeless!!!

Bought hotpoint induction cooker. Was very easy to order, delivered as expected and they called beforehand to check on delivery details. Item was delivered into kitchen which was where I wanted it. Very happy with service and the product

AVOID

They sell you appliances they don't have, promise you deliveries they can't meet. Our whole kitchen project has been delayed for weeks because of them costing us so much extra money. No customer service, you can't get through to speak to anyone and when you finally get to someone they can't help you anyway. So far no response to my complaint either.
