I recently lost my mother and have been handling her affairs, including arranging for the pickup of a washer and dryer she was renting through your company Appliance Warehouse of America.
When I initially called to schedule the pickup, the representative I spoke with was kind, patient, and very helpful. I truly appreciated her professionalism during such a difficult time.
However, my experience today was very different. I called simply to confirm what time the pickup personnel begin their route so I could ensure I was at my mother’s residence ahead of their arrival. I understood that the pickup window would be broad, but I was only seeking a general start time.
The representative I spoke with refused to provide any information, stating that my name was not listed on the account. I explained that I was the one who had already arranged the pickup, but she continued to repeat the policy without offering any alternative assistance. When I asked to speak with a supervisor, I was told that this was also not possible for the same reason.
I called back and spoke with another representative who transferred me without explanation. The next representative interrupted me multiple times while I was trying to explain my situation, which I found discourteous and frustrating, especially given the circumstances.
I understand that companies have policies in place to protect customer information. However, there must also be room for empathy, professionalism, and basic courtesy—particularly when someone is clearly navigating the loss of a loved one.
Based on this experience, I would not feel comfortable recommending your company to others. I strongly encourage you to provide additional customer service and sensitivity training for your representatives, especially when handling situations involving bereavement.
Dishwasher AEG factory 2nd
To be honest, I thought I had purchased our dishwasher through a similar sounding company and didn't realise until I needed to ask about my installer.
When I realised I purchased from a different seller and read the bad reviews, I felt sick to my stomach but I will happily say I purchased our AEG dishwasher on a Friday, paid extra for an installer and removal and the dishwasher was delivered on Monday morning as promised.. The only glitch is it was not communicated about the installation. They only alert the installer after the product has been delivered and you wait for someone to contact you 3-5 days AFTER delivery to arrange a time. Had I known this, it would have been helpful as I assumed it was done on the same day. However, the dishwasher was brand new, some minor scratches which you can't see and that didn't bother me.. The kickboard is broken and only visible when you open the door, still not a deal breaker for me. OMG it is sooo quiet. We paid $800 for a current $2000 machine. When I spoke to the team after delivery about the installer, they said if I didn't want to use that service, they would refund me. 2 days later when I hadn't heard and had had no dishwasher for over a week, I said please refund and they did! So I have not had any issues. The only problem is we are now stuck with the removal of the old machine as the installer would have taken the old machine. Also, had i realised, we would have had our old one disconnected as they advised they could have still taken the old one if it was disconnected. Whilst I was nervous after the reviews, I'm 100% happy I purchased.
Negligent and unaccountable
First W/D rental went well when I was renting through an apartment community. However when I rented independently it was a whole other story! While running the washer empty to sanitize it before use, I heard splashing sounds coming from the laundry. The entire laundry floor, hallway and guest bath were flooded! After shutting off the machine, I immediately called Appliance Warehouse to schedule same day service to prevent water damage. We discovered their technician had not connected the washer hose! It was sitting way on the side opposite of the plug behind the machine. Even though I informed them of this they still would not schedule service until the following day. They expected us to let water sit in the carpet overnight, close to 24 hours. No doubt causing mold or other water damage. Rather than wait for them we dried it with a wet vac and fan. When I called to update the service order, the representative expressed no concern, acted annoyed, and attempted to rush me off the phone. They then tried to charge me for a machine replacement when there was nothing wrong with the actual machine but rather their technician's negligence caused of the whole issue. I won't be renting from them a third time. 1000% do NOT recommend!
I would not recommend this company
I would not recommend this company. They advertise “next day delivery,” but in reality, it took two weeks just to get an appointment. On top of that, they required a key release form, and when the driver came, he just opened the door and left without completing the installation. I still don’t have my washer and dryer.
Now, they’re asking me to take off another full day from work, but they won’t provide a time window ahead of time by email or even the morning of delivery. Every time I call, I’m given an “estimated time” that never turns out to be accurate.
This has been an incredibly frustrating and unprofessional experience. Between the delays, lack of communication, and poor service, I would caution anyone considering this company to look elsewhere.
DO NOT use this "service:
terrible place. stupid people, poor customer support. wste of my time and money
Overall… poor service
Overall… poor service. I rented a washer and dryer from them. The dryer stopped working and they stated it would take 20 days to get someone out to look at it. This meant my only solution to getting laundry done was to spend money at a local laundry mat. I spent close to $40 in 3 weeks. When the scheduled repair day arrived... no one showed up. I called and the rep said the repair technician said he was there, and no one answered. That was a lie as I worked from home, and I was eagerly waiting for the day. The rep scheduled a “second” visit a few days later. That technician did show up and I voiced my concern with him. He explained that the original tech is known for saying the customer is not home when appointments are towards the end of his shift. I called Customer Service requesting a credit for the month and was told it would not be for a full month despite my inconvenience. The rep I spoke to over the phone could honestly care less. I asked to speak to a supervisor or manager and his response was “No managers are available right now” Really? It’s 10:00 am on a Tuesday and no one is managing the operation? Hmm. If you’re paying for a service and they don’t deliver… stay away from the company.
Stay away!
Stay away! (1) Their washer is old and leaves stains on black clothes. (2) When it is time to return their pickup estimates are completely unreliable. You’ll have to dedicate your entire day, as they’ll keep rescheduling multiple times. And customer support is useless—they just say, ‘I’m not a driver. I don’t know why they change estimates.’ Not worth the hassle. Avoid at all costs!
Won't pick up their machines - Keep billing my card
They cannot commit to their pickup dates and times. I have been rescheduled more than once for them to come pick up their appliances. All while they keep charging my card.
I explained my lease ended and it is hard to keep rescheduling and also that I am concerned about
their units being in a place I no longer rent. Today the guy said he would talk to his supervisor and see if they could come today but never called me back. And now it says we are scheduled for the 6th.
Sort of feels like a scam to keep billing. I would not recommend this company at all!
Horrible company to work with.

Customer care is useless and the overseas support from Philipines is horrible and they can't empathize and rudely answer and also do tricks like directing me to take survery in Spanish which I don't understand.

poor quality product, Payment platform that had issues to a point where my bank put a "stop payment " on my cc, issues with the delivery/delivered the wrong product initially. The list goes on.
In summary - Never use them a gain.
Terrible company
Terrible company. Refuses to pick up our washer dryer set. We've been asking them a month! Horrible customer service. They take our info and say someone will call us back, never happens. We're about to be charged by our apartment when we've moved out!!
They take money from poor people and…
They take money from poor people and sell faulty products. They lie and are aggressive but the ACCC will sort them out.
-100/10
I genuinely can’t express how terrible my experience has been with appliance warehouse. the communication is non existent. the customer service is abysmal. getting them to honor any service they agree to is like pulling teeth. i moved into a new apartment 7 weeks ago and it took them 3 weeks to install a washer and broken dryer. getting them to come fix the dryer was next to impossible. they finally came but only THREE WEEKS after i made it clear i was worried about a fire hazard. they installed a new dryer but the next day, they were both removed from my apartment unbeknownst to me. They cannot keep a schedule straight to save their lives. I wouldn’t recommend this company to my worst enemy. appliance warehouse needs to be shut down. 0/10.
Avoid Appliance Warehouse Of America at All Costs
I'm writing this review in a state of utter frustration and disappointment after my dealings with Appliance Warehouse Of America. This experience has been nothing short of a nightmare, and I feel it's crucial to warn potential customers about the shoddy business practices of this company.
Firstly, the condition of the appliances upon delivery was appalling.
Both the washer and dryer were filthy, complete with someone else's socks left in the washer. This was not just an inconvenience but a health concern. I spent two hours cleaning them, which is completely unacceptable for rented appliances.
The functionality of these machines was equally abysmal. The dryer was practically useless, taking six cycles to dry a single bedsheet.
The sheer inefficiency of it is mind-boggling. I was away for the second month of my rental period, rendering me unable to address this issue sooner. However, one would expect some level of quality assurance from a rental company, which was completely absent here.
When I approached Appliance Warehouse Of America for a refund for the second month, citing the defective dryer and my inability to use it, their response was not only uncooperative but downright unprofessional. They pushed me towards a credit card dispute, absolving themselves of any responsibility.
After a prolonged two-month dispute process, which was resolved in my favor due to their lack of response, I thought the matter was settled.
However, the situation escalated when I was contacted by a collection agency for a debt that was supposedly resolved. This is not just poor customer service; it's an outrageous business practice. Calling their customer service was an exercise in futility. Jess and Jessica, the representatives I spoke to, were dismissive and rude, showing a complete lack of understanding or empathy for the situation their company had put me in.
Let's talk about the economic absurdity of their rental scheme.
The appliances they provide are of such low quality that they would likely cost $200-300 if bought outright. Their rental charges, starting at $20 for the first month and then jumping to $45 for subsequent months, are a total rip-off. In a year-long contract, this adds up to $495 ($45 x 11 + $20), nearly the cost of buying new appliances, with the added 'bonus' of dealing with their horrendous service.
In conclusion, my experience with Appliance Warehouse Of America has been a study of how not to run a rental service. From delivering dirty, dysfunctional appliances to exhibiting a complete lack of accountability and customer service etiquette, this company has been a disaster to deal with.
I urge anyone considering renting appliances to steer clear of Appliance Warehouse Of America.
It's a trap that lures you with seemingly low initial costs but leaves you dealing with subpar appliances, dreadful service, and potentially hidden charges. Save your money and your sanity, avoid this company at all costs.
I rented a fridge for one price and they charged a different fee…
I rented a fridge for one price a d they brought a bigger fridge than what I ordered. Not my fault but they claimed they would charge the smaller fridge fee. 6 months later still charging me for bigger fridge and stated this never happened. I have a single apt. Why would I rent a large fridge?
Lack of word or integrity of the product they sell
I bought a washer and a dryer from the one located in 965 N Cocoa, FL. and was one of the worst mistake I have made since I move to Cocoa, FL. The washer and dryer were not working properly and when I went to them for resolution they kept saying that a tech would come. I waited for a tech for one week. No one came. Then the day they were supposed to pick up the appliances for a return the tech came in to 'fix' the appliances. When I called for the return they said they never said that (lack of word or integrity) and the tech was 'playing' along side with them saying that the store dont have anything else to do with the appliances I have bought from them. Be aware and be Careful not only the store but also the GE tech that is coming to your house. I expected a tent or scratches but not the need of a GE tech since the first moment they were used. That is an indication that the item have more than 'scratches or tents' they are selling you broke items as well.
12/6/2023 notified the company I was…
12/6/2023 notified the company I was moving. We agreed that on 12/28/2023 the washer/dryer would be picked up. Received email truck broke down, rescheduled for 1/2/2023. Received another email stating truck still wasn’t fixed, rescheduled for 1/9/2023. I informed them I no longer live there and would have to go through property manager. Money was taken out of my accounts for January, when I questioned this they said it was because I was still in possession of the equipment. How can that be when I don’t live there anymore and it wasn’t my fault their equipment broke down. They will not refund my money. Stay far far away from this company.
Just a big horrible mistake doing…
Just a big horrible mistake doing business with them. My delivery was today and the dryer sound like a train (very loud)! And I have to wait until 21st when my delivery was on the 15th. They don’t check the machines officially. I do not recommend them unless you love crap being told to you!!!
Would NOT recommend this company. Do not use
I went through appliance warehouse to rent a washer and dryer at my house. Things were fine until it was time for the pickup. I had to wait on hold for HOURS to speak to someone to ask what the ETA was of the pickup so I could make sure I was home. They informed me there was no estimated time just some time that day. I had already moved all of my stuff out so I had to wait around all day. I called a second time to confirm they would call me before coming so I could make sure I was there. They informed me they’d call an hour before showing up. I never received a call or a message so I wasn’t home. I again had to make multiple calls for multiple hours to reschedule it and they kept changing the day. it’s the day of pickup and they did give me an estimated time today but here we are an hour after the estimated time already and I am on hold yet again for over an hour. I would never recommend this company to anyone. If I could leave less than 1 star I would. Do not use them.
Stay Away!
Everything! Far too much to write & did not want to have to do this but after calling & waiting to speak with someone for almost a half hour then finally getting a live person only to explain things then get transferred & hung up on.
