After not accessing my purchased app for a year, i discovered some unusual activity. I tried to login to my appsumo account and it indicated that it was deactivated and i should contact appsumo support, which i did but never got a response.
Disfuctional support... once you purchase the app you can forget about any additional support.

I love appsumo, not only do you get great deals on software, you can basically test anything for free, no questions asked, refunds within 60 days, so you will never be stuck with bad software.

I had an issue with a code not working and I contacted them and within a day they spoke with the company on my behalf and got it fixed whereas other companies would tell you to speak them directly and leave you to deal with it

I bought many 10.000 USD worth of lifetime licenses on Appsumo and have to say over time the likelihood that you get scammed went up significantly as did the prices for the licenses. There are many shady businesses which disappear as soon as the lifetime deal is over or businesses which will all of the sudden excluded lifetime license holders or businesses which would shut down the lifetime deal product and launch the same product under a different name or businesses which would make lifetime license holders pay monthly subscriptions in order to keep using the product. It is not only the investment which is then gone BUT these businesses disrupt the businesses of the lifetime holders in a way that could become an existential thread. DO NOT BUY FROM APPSUMO. YOU WILL NOT GET ANY REFUND OR SUPPORT EVEN FROM APPSUMO and your business will suffer in a way you could never imagine. I am deeply disappointed by Appsumo also. They became themselves a very shady business. Just read all the 1 star reviews here and be warned from people who had very bad experiences with Appsumo.

Being with Appsumo for few years started normal member and now as Plus Member. Well, some products along the way were not up to expectations. The majority of its are excellent. Good response from Appsumo Support team willing to help out if any issue. Overall, it is a good deal, depending on each individual's expectations.

I purchased a product on Appsumo, Afforai/Logical. That SAAS provider halved the plan storage without notice; and they will not answer support requests about it.

I'm down on Appsumo simply for BLOCKING SEARCH from their search bar to their listing of either Afforai or Logically. If I am alerted that they reinstate the search I'll remove this review.

Afforai promoted products and sells them on Appsumo; Afforai then changes it's name to Logically. Logically virtually engages in mass theft against customers by reducing the offerings of each tier, and gets countless crappy reviews;

Reviews include many complaints made to both Appsumo and Afforai, with what seems like mainly the absence of answers/solutions.

Afforai promised an enhancement path but the same antiquated LLM models are the only ones available, two years after my purchase.

Appsumo seems to have been in the right place at the right time with providing these LTDs, but the nature of the beast itself is that LTDs may well have a hidden expiry date or change of service. This is not under Appsumo's control, but it is they who dress these products up--risky since the products are only as good as their proprietors.

It is the resaon of my success in Internet. They have great products to buy and use. Also great support!

AppSumo really came through. It was my first time using AppSumo so I didn't know what to expect. The deal looked too good to be true but I thought I'd give it a try. I purchased a package that retails for over $1000 USD for under $70! Crazy right!?!!

Well I made the purchase and then started activating the codes. Things looked good until I got to the 3rd of 5 code and it said the code expired! So I emailed support at AppSumo and they were incredibly responsive and incredibly nice about the whole thing! They worked with the vendor (who told me the code had an expiration date that lasted 2 months and that it just ended a few days ago) and got me a new code that worked! I would have been happy with the rest of the package but the people at AppSumo seemed to really care about my situation and worked to make things right. They have incredible deals, staff who were very friendly and responsive, and made the whole experience such a positive one for me. I would not hesitate in buying more from them! Now, it's time to get my vibe coding on!

I purchased Chopcast back in November 2025. I send email to cancel my subscription the next day. The subscription was never updated to Pro. The next month, December, they charged my credit card. I had to contact my bank to get a new credit card. They keep charging my credit card for a subscription that was never activated. I would recommend appsumo to anyone who has ideas they want to implement. But, note that not all purchases are winners. But, the team handles it like a champ, within reason. I can't say for others but my experience has been fine. You get what you are going to use, and that is it. If they improve, that is great, but such is life.

As a long time Appsumo Plus customer, one of the main thing things I appreciate is the "got your back guarantee" which offers extended refund protection in the event that a tool shuts down within a year of my purchase date. I can honestly say that they stand behind this policy.

I requested a refund after discovering ongoing functionality issues that made the product unusable for my business. Despite clearly explaining the problems, my refund request was denied solely because it fell outside the 60-day review window, with no consideration of product performance or long-term usability.

For software tools that are meant to be integrated into professional workflows, issues often only become apparent over time. A rigid policy with no flexibility places all risk on the customer. This experience has significantly reduced my trust in AppSumo for software purchases.
