The showroom had a lot of choice and the sales man was extremely helpful and explained the process to me. I was looking at a quick install and they moved the hevens to make it happen. The fitters were brilliant and there work was incredibly good. I would use this company again. And highly recommend them.
The end result is good. This company previously fitted a gas fire and surround in my house and I was happy enough with that work to use them again. Recently I changed it to a wood effect electric fire. There was a problem, but they provided a customer service solution that made me feel better about it.
There were some issues with the installation, which Aquaflames arrange, but say you have a separate agreement with the installer. First the installer knocked some mortar down my chimney when putting a cap on it. That blocked the fire’s ventilation so it didn’t work. Aquaflames had to arrange for the manufacturer to attend to remove the mortar. Second, there was a hidden charge, because Aquaflames told me after the installation that the installer doesn’t take his installation materials and rubble away, because he apparently doesn’t have a waste disposal licence. I had to pay someone else to attend and remove the waste, which was a cost I hadn’t been told about in advance. When they fitted my previous fire a decade ago, all waste was removed after the installation.
