The 5th September edition of the Norwich Evening News carried a story in which the rival football team were referred to as "Ipsh*t". I don't expect to see that in a serious newspaper. It demonstrates... See more

Avoid at all Cost - not the saving you are expecting
Legal, though sharp practice and in my view a scam nevertheless. Signed up at Christmas, as many, and all seemed well on a discounted offer price. However, unless you cancel the subscription a full year at full cost is added a year later. No reminder is given, no notification that this is to happen.
Cancelling seems to involve a double layer of accounts and passwords, that I did not remember from signing-up to and an offshore call centre. All time consuming and counter intuitive and seemingly designed at tripping over another year
If you must use this company, cancel your subscription a day after signing up. You will be locked into the year you wanted and will not get a surprise a year later.
All reviews seem to be 100% negative, so 2.5* seems generous. I would never have used this company had I know the problems and never will again.

Have fallen victim to the scam of free gift with subscription, again no response from customer service.
Seems strange that mainstream magazines would use such a bad company.

Buyer beware over purchasing magazine subscriptions from this company! Kent life in our case. Promised 'gift with subscription' is a scam as no gift arrives. Funny that. Their call centre is in the Philippines (or similar) so the operatives don't even speak English very well or really understand your query and leave you hanging on the phone for ages. Avoid.

The worst Company and Customer service
The worst Company and customer service.
I bought this magazine as a birthday gift for a friend. I was auto charged the next year without notice. I contacted Archant who informed me I had agreed to this renewal on purchase. I did not !! They refused to give me my money back or cancel the subscription. I now take delivery of a magazine I do not want until January 2001. Do not use this company.Worst Customer Service I have come across. They do not deserve one review.

Beware subscription gifts for Lancashire Life
I got a two year subscription for Lancashire life as a present. They continued to take the money out of the account without any prior notification after the two years had expired. When I contacted them, they said that is what I had signed up for and were not very helpful and to contact my bank. If you take a subscription with Archant, make sure you inform your bank to not allow Archant to take any more money once the necessary money has been paid.
