Over the years Arka has been my go to for small hoops and dainty piercing jewellery. I have never left a review, but realised today after many years of purchasing that I hadn’t and feel that they really do deserve it!

I find the quality of jewellery is always 10/10 and some of my silver hoops have lasted 9+ years. I normally find myself looking at any new earrings and always end up buying some, the price is so affordable (£6 for some unique tragus piercing jewellery) and the shipping always comes so quickly. Whenever people ask where I get my hoops / small studs etc from I always tell them.

I don’t think I will ever stop buying from here as it’s always so affordable and excellent quality. Never had an item break or some damaged in the many years I’ve used Arka.

Photos don't look like the products.
I bought wooden flesh tunnels that looked a lovely warm brown in the photo but both arrived so dark, they look black and you can't tell they are made of wood.
Another pair were the mother of pearl flesh plugs. First - they look much narrower than the size I ordered, even holding them up next to the other ones I bought, you can tell they are not the same size. Second of all the mother of pearl bit looks really cheap and tacky. The photo makes it look like a curve of pearl inlay but in reality it's thin and flat, looks like a sticker. Not worth £16!
Unfortunately I took them out of the bag so can't send them back even though I haven't worn them.
They should make their refund policy clearer.
A note inside the order would be helpful.
Very disappointed with this company. I won't be ordering from them again.

EDIT after receiving reply: My first thought wasn't to leave a bad review it was to simply return the items that were poor quality or wrong size.
It was then, that I saw your return policy stating that because it's body jewellery, buy law you are not required to accept returns that have been removed from the bag and that size and quality should be checked while the bag is sealed.
This is why I said above you should make your policy clear by including it in the box with the items.

I then read other reviews and loads of people state you refuse returns if bag is open not matter what the reason.
So why exactly do you find it laughable that I didn't contact you to ask if it would be different for me??

After reading your replies to other 1 star reviews, I could tell it would be a waste of time as your customer service is clearly lacking.
Your replies are unprofessional and childish.

So that is the reason I didn't contact you and instead wrote an honest review to warn others.

If however I am wrong and you really do care about happy customers. I will take you up on your offer of how you would (past tense) of rectified the issues had I emailed you first, and I will gladly amend my review.

In the meantime update your photos so they accurately represent what you sell.
Saying wood varies so it's not possible is a poor excuse. I ordered 2 wooden plugs and they both arrived identical and nothing like the photo.

Every time I have purchased from ARKA, they deliver very quickly, and everything is very high quality and as pictured. I especially love that their selection of labret jewellery is not too big and chunky. I buy most of my ear jewellery from ARKA knowing that they will not disappoint

Not good quality. I bought one and as I opened it to put it in my septum, it snapped. So I contacted them and they sent me a replacement, but that one also broke very easily so I didn’t order another or get another replacement.

They’ve replied to argue this too which I find awfully immature. Everyone has an opinion and I’ve voiced mine for anyone who’d like to purchase from your store, simple as that. And if you took the time to read, you’d see that I did mention you sent me a replacement. You’re ASSUMING I’ve “pulled” open the ring, I’ve had a septum for years, I think I know how to put the rings in properly. Not once have I have TWO break in such a short amount of time from any other company. Thank you.

I ordered a pair of clear silicone tunnels. One of them arrived with defects. I emailed and was sent a new one very quickly. I'd order from here again.

My husband kindly gifted me two pairs of earrings from the shop for my birthday. While both sets look beautiful, I regret to say that their design leaves something to be desired. They do not seem to justify their price point. I found it difficult to insert both earrings into my earlobes. The hooks appear fragile and might break after a few uses. They looked fine in the packaging, but the issues became apparent upon trying them on. My sister and husband tried to insert the earrings but were unable to do so. Although the seller seemed to disagree, they were fair and provided a refund.
