Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Considering 49 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many people were dissatisfied with the products, noting that items often did not match the descriptions or images on the website. Customers frequently mentioned poor quality, with products feeling cheap, made from different materials than advertised, and lacking proper branding or labels. Reviewers also found the sizing to be inaccurate and inconsistent with standard measurements. A significant number of people also reported issues with the refund process, stating that the company was reluctant to provide full refunds and often offered partial refunds or required customers to return items to international locations at their own expense, which sometimes exceeded the product's value. The website itself was also a point of contention, with some feeling it was misleading about the company's true location and the origin of its products.

I wish I’d checked reviews before…

I wish I’d checked reviews before purchasing. Item was from China - not a Melbourne based business as the site leads you to believe. The style looked nothing like the images shown and sizing was terrible. I immediately requested a refund as per the policy I checked before purchasing and have just received an email saying I can keep and get a 25% refund or send a parcel back to China which of course will cost me much more than sending back to Melbourne which is what I would have expected. Do yourself a favour and DO NOT get scammed be this business!!

Angry at being scammed

Parcel arrived & is not the design , style or fabric as a advertised. I ordered an Australian pure wool pullover. what arrived, from CHINA is a very cheap. poor quality knit with no tags with information as to its fabric content. This is a requirement , by Australian Consumer Law. Shame on Armoire Melbourne for running this scam . DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY.

Anyone who has been scammed

Anyone who has been scammed by this company, immediately file a fraud/scam claim through your bank and claim that it was an unauthorised payment, as technically it was due to not receiving the product you have paid for/been promised. You will never be able to go through the "right channels" with this sham company as no proper communication can be had. Due to this, your bank should/will refund you the money after their quick investigation (mine did).

I'm not sure what they do on their end with retrieving money back from the scam company, but I got my money back into the account it was taken/paid from. I hope this helps!

Scam company!

Scam company!! The use of Melbourne along with the about history is a deceitful. Everything came from China, they were poor quality, not true to size, so small my 12 year old niece couldn't fit in them and nothing I ordered was like the picture. Straight away I requested a refund and was told I had to send them back to China at my cost, which I did and they have been sitting in China Post customs as they refuse to pick the up and no refund has been given.
DO NOT buy from this company!!

Double Charged!

Last night, I was reviewing Women's clothing on Armoire online shop & was impressed by a top advertised by Armoire Melbourne. I ordered ONE cross over V Neck cotton top @ $79.95, and the payment went through, with email confirmation received at 8.50pm. At about 10.30pm, I got another email confirmation for TWO identical items, with a small discount on the second!! I did NOT order two items, let alone two identical tops! I've sent an email via the 'Contact Us' option.. they promise to respond in 48 hours - we'll see. There are no phone numbers or other method of speaking to someone, i.e., online Chat. This morning, I checked out the reviews, & wow, false advertising claiming to be Armoire Melbourne - extremely disappointing. Like others who've been ripped off, I wish now I had checked the reviews before I placed my order.

Scam Company! Do NOT buy from them!!

Scam company! The company appears to be from Melbourne, Australia but they are actually from China.

I purchased some pyjamas for $90 that stated that they were made from 100% cotton. What arrived was a 95% Polyester, 5% Elastane, poorly made pair of Pyjamas. Nothing like the pictures. They arrived in a crappy plastic bag wrapped in tape.

When I contacted the company about this I was told to send the item back to some random warehouse in China at my own cost, then they might issue a refund. I don't trust that they will honour my refund if I pay to return the item.

They need to be shut down!!!

(Would give 0 stars but thats not an option)

I would give this so called company zero out of 5

I would give this so called company a zero star rating if it was possible. DO NOT buy from this fake Australian store. When you finally get your product it’s of poor quality and different appearance to what is pictured on the website. It has no labeling and is not even packaged correctly. Communication is robotic and repetitive if and when h finally get a response. I’m not giving up on getting a refund

I wish Id read these reviews before…

I wish Id read these reviews before ordering from Armoire Melbourne.
Their communication is non existent in spite of emailing online several times. When my parcel arrived it was stuffed into an old plastic bag and took far too long to arrive in spite of paying for priority processing.
The comfortable woolly Cardigan was of vastly inferior quality with ny label or swing tag. The seams are roughly stitched & the materials are definitely not wool.
Recommend you do not do business with this company. I gave 1star because I received my product eventually. Now to try to return it!!!!!

PLEASE PLEASE read this before you buy…

PLEASE PLEASE read this before you buy anything from this site. The products are from China, my credit card was charged international transaction fees also and the Large size of the 3 jackets I purchased for $339 would be too tight for my young nephew. It took 25 days to arrive, the quality is incredibly poor and they now advise me to freight it back with tracking which is about $181 and they will reimburse me which will simply never happen and they now avoid me emails. Their return policy even states they sometimes they will refund you and you can keep the item. They are running a scam and I wish I had of looked at these reviews before I got sucked in by these pathetic people

False advertising …

I won’t be purchasing anything from this company at all. It appears as a Melbourne company but is actually from Asia.
Not happy with the product, it is nothing like the photo nor the material as advertised on their website. I ordered a women’s size small and it would fit my 11 year granddaughter.
Not worth the money I paid for it.
The company should inform buyers that they are in fact from overseas and not be so deceitful advertising they are from Melbourne.
They don’t deserve any star rating.

This company is a rip off

This is a rip off, it is NOT an Australian business. DONOT DEAL WITH THEM> I purchased a sweater supposedly Cashmere $79.85, took ages to arrive from Asia. Sweater was nothing like advertised product, hideous cheap fabric, not even the same colours as advertised, just throwaway rubbish. I wrote asking if I could return for a refund, Amoire said if send back to Asia and pay postage they would give me a percentage refund!! I said NO this was YOUR mistake, I would only send garment to Melbourne and expect a credit for the full amount to my American Express A/c. Since then no real communication or satisfaction. Wish I had read reviews before wasting $79.95 for a unwearable piece of rubbish.

SCAM Alert!

SCAM Alert!! Do not buy from this company.
It's not a Melbourne company, it comes from overseas. If it ever arrives.
I've been waiting 6 weeks for my order and the owner won't provide proof of sending or contact details of the shipping company.
Infact he won't respond

I searched Armoire site for ladies…

I searched Armoire site for ladies Cashmere, up came a site with Soft Luxurios Sweater for Women $89.95, with $4.95 for priority processing. Imagine my surprise when I received a package from HongKong with a 95%polyester, 5%spandex, with collar, cuffs, and tail sewn into garment. Totally misleading. Nothing but intentional, misleading ripoff. When product came up after this search, it should have stated the material make up as polyester and spandex.

Scam website

Be careful its a scam website, the owner is the one that replies back to messages and tries to rip people off, I ordered in June 24, its over a month, they tried to deliver but I don't think the delivery drivers get out to deliver, they mark missed delivery, you can't contact over the phone ANYONE, its all online, and when you ask for a refund, they don't own up to it, this is a SCAM don't buy from them.

Don’t get ripped off!

Just out of interest I took a screenshot of one of their items and input it to a google image search. The results showed an identical jacket with an identical photo on aliexpress where you could get this jacket for less than half of what armoire Melbourne was charging. Did this with a few more items and yup, this is all stuff that you can find on aliexpress for less than half or one third of the price. Don’t get sucked in by this company!!
