Gary E was calm, compassionate, and incredibly supportive throughout our meeting. He patiently listened and offered genuinely helpful advice tailored to my circumstances. I found it so refreshing to speak face-to-face with someone who listens—rather than having to explain everything from scratch to a new person over the phone each time. This kind of personal service makes such a huge difference when you're in difficult circumstances. Highly recommend!

I finally got up the courage to speak to a company I didn't know, about really serious mortgage arrears with Santander.
And I mean REALLY serious.
Liked two+ freaking years-worth.
I ended up speaking with a guy called MJ.
English was obviously not his first language from the outset - and at first I was skeptical.
But as it turned out, he was the kindest, most patient, and most helpful man.
Here was me, avoiding my biggest ever worry for two years+ and I finally got up the gumption to ring.
We worked through existing debt, what I need to pay first (like Council Tax before mortgage!) and other stuff, with never a word of demand or legal threat.
I'm off the phone just 30 mins, with the hugest burden off my mind, you would not believe.
If you've got any sort of debt that this company is trying to manage for you - RING THEM.
They are honest, good people, and they are really, truly, there to help.
From a very, very grateful customer.

I spoke to Matthew a couple of weeks ago. He explained everything to me so clearly and helped me understand this so difficult and confusing process. Matthew should be credited for his ability to speak to people and diffuse situations as for the first time ever after speaking about this I was able to relax because of Matthew’s sympathy to my situation thanks so much Matthew

If I could give Ascent 0 stars I would. They were the sellers solicitor in the purchase of our home and they were absolutely diabolical. Repeatedly told our solicitors they had requested documents from the Freeholder when they hadn’t, not replying to enquiries etc. causing delays over 9 months on a purchase that should have taken 28 days (corporate sale). STAY CLEAR OF ASCENT.

Earlier in the day I spoke with someone at Ascent Legal who was not willing to listen to my issues nor address any proposal. He was very distant and uncooperative. I then rang Santander, after which I was back with Ascent, but this time with Claire, whom I found very co-operative. We worked through my current situation and proposal. She then checked through all manner of stuff, to ensure everything was set in place for senior management review. I found her conduct both professional and empathetic. Claire is a credit to Ascent.

I think Philipa needs to be in the Mental health team or be the team’s therapist because she definitely is more than empathetic. No one in my life has been that patient with me than she has been looking from my background. I do not normally do this but just a big thank you to ascent and Philipa most importantly .
