My mum and dad - Diego and Lisa! From the first moment I met Lisa I knew we would be great friends, little did I know that in 3 months time I’d be travelling Peru with her and Diego on the most amazing trip. Hands down one of the best impulsive decisions I ever made, from start to finish I was filled with laughter, great food and insane experiences made all the better by mum and dads superior cultural insight and top tier organisational skills. These trips are more than just “a tour” and I would recommend to anyone in a heartbeat - no bum massages though.

where do I even start?! The most amazing two weeks run by the most amazing couple! Diogo and Lisa are such phenomenal, kind hearted people who have put together a true experience of a lifetime. From insane experiences like sleeping in a desert under the stars to the little things like taking us to the best restaurants (and never saying no to sushi) is what made this trip so incredible. Forever grateful to have had this time with such amazing people exploring such a gorgeous part of the world :)

Mind-blowing hospitality and local planning, such a great and memorable time with lovely people. Not once on the trip did I feel like I was not in the best hands. Always safe, always reliable, and always doing the best activities the right ways! I couldn’t have done Peru any better myself even with an unlimited budget, and I don’t think I will do the rest of South America without Ataw.

truly one of the best experiences of my life. travelling peru and seeing one of the wonders of the world is something I’d never thought I’d get the opportunity to do. My trip to Peru with ATAW was one of the best experiences i’ve ever had. The itinerary was perfectly planned out to experience the best Peru has to offer, including many local experiences that you wouldn’t find elsewhere. Diogo is an amazing guide that is super knowledgeable in peruvian culture, making this trip surpass my already high expectations! If you’re on the edge of booking a trip with ATAW, I highly recommend you do it, it’s a trip you’ll never forget!!

An unforgettable experience from beginning to end! My now fiancé(!) and I took a risk and decided to take a group trip to Peru. The organization of the whole trip was amazing. It was more than I could have ever dreamed of. Lisa and Diogo take you to all the iconic spots, but also take you along the beaten path to see things you definitely would not normally find traveling to Peru your first time. I will never forget the views, the experience, and endless laughter. This trip set the bar so high for future travel. Lisa and Diogo are thoughtful, accommodating, organized, and most importantly they are experienced travelers. When things don’t go as they expect, they quickly regroup and get back on track. I already miss them and I miss Peru!!! I am definitely planning to take another trip with Ataw Travels!

It was my first time traveling outside of Europe. From the beginning I had very high expectations, because it had been my biggest dream for many years to travel to Peru, but all my expectations were exceeded thanks to the best group of peoples from all around the globe and the wonderful organization with atawtravels!
My heart is very full and I love looking at all the pictures and videos and wish I could go back in time. I will definitely never forget my first big trip and the bar is now set especially high for all my upcoming trips! The itinerary atawtravels planned was so well thought out and left nothing to be desired. I will definitely sign up for another trip with atawtravels in the future!

Best. 2. Weeks. Of. My. Life.
I went to Peru with Lisa and Diogo and 11 other strangers who are now my friends. Words cannot describe the experience you will have if you travel with Ataw, and yet there is so much i want to say about this life changing experience! I can only speak for Peru (for now), but the way they have carefully curated their tour to include the “must see” sights that everyone knows about, and the equally as exciting must see sights and experiences that you would miss travelling with literally anyone else, is astounding! It is truly a once in a lifetime experience that you will not regret. Adventure filled, laughter packed, jaw dropping and breath taking views, you will never find a tour better than the one Ataw will take you on!

The two weeks in Peru were the best experience. Diogo and Lisa put together a incredible itinerary together which includes everything from city tour, adventures, hikes and peruvian culture. I am definitely travelling again with them to another south American country in the next years

I had the best two weeks with ATAW in Peru I could’ve wished for. Everything about Diogo and Lisa shows that they love what they’re doing and have done their research to give you the best experience they can.
Besides the great known sights as Machu Picchu and Lake Titicaca, they’ll show you parts of the real Peruvian culture. I’d have never been able to experience this on my own and were what made this trip so special.

I loved that I didn’t have to worry about a thing. They’ve put together an amazing itinerary. For things that aren’t in the itinerary Lisa and Diogo are able to give you recommendations for anything from restaurants to a place to get a pedicure.
I’d love to join another trip in the future!

I can’t even begin to describe how incredible of an experience this trip was. It was in run by the most down to earth kind hearted people. They made you feel like you were apart of their family & were so knowledgeable on all aspects of the trip that their impact just made the couple of weeks together a breeze. You were immersed into Peruvian culture and were able to witness things I thought I could only dream about. They knew all the best spots to take us to for food & everything else. It was hands down one of the greatest two weeks of my life. I cannot be more thankful for all the people I met, the experiences I had and for all the effort & research Diogo & Lisa put in to make this trip once in a life time. Forever grateful. I recommend any and all of their trips, I know I will be doing another in the future.

I don't even know what I'm supposed to write haha. I went on their Wonders of Bolivia trip, and it was absolutely amazing! The two weeks were filled with so many different experiences, I especially loved seeing all of the animals. If you want a trip where you'll be laughing 24/7 and getting screamed at while learning how to play Cambio, then this is the trip for you haha. These memories are gonna last me a lifetime. Diogo and Lisa are amazing people to be around, and I can't wait to book another trip with them :)

I recently attended the Bolivia tour with ATAW travels. This was my second tour with Diogo and Lisa, having gone with them to Peru last year as well. And y’all already KNOW I loved it so much, I knew I had to go with them again. Bolivia itself was so vast and incredible - From the salt flats to the highlands to the Amazon jungle… And the amazing people and culture. Lisa and Diogo become more than just tour guides but also like friends all traveling together. And of course with the added bonus of all the work behind the scenes to ensure the best experience. So many core memories, already got me thinking about my 3rd tour… until next time !!

I pretty much spontaneously decided to join the group trip and a do not regret it for one second!! The itinerary of the trip was amazingly thought through and I felt like I actually got an authentic Colombia experience:)
But most importantly, I got to meet the best group of people from across the world and Lisa and Diogo are just wonderful!!

Columbia had been a bucket list destination for me for a long time and there was no better way than exploring the country with such a perfect and balanced itinerary.

Lisa and Diogo know how to curate THE best trips. They are filled with adventure, culture and the best people. This was my first time to South America and from the very beginning of booking with ATAW I felt taken care of!! Diogo and Lisa are very communicative; ensuring an easy, safe, and memorable trip!! They were super knowledgeable, fun and felt more like friends than just our guides! The itinerary was very well balanced with once in a lifetime experiences and with days of free exploration or reflection!
