top!

I did not use all the bells and whistles of my id48 yet, but I am very happy with it so far! Preamps are very clean sounding with lots of headroom. The AD/DA conversion is top notch

Setting volume is a…

Id4 sounds good but setting volume is a pain - very low res indicators, endless encoder. On interface restart the volume is set back to zero. Simple act of knowing where I'm at with volume turns into endless fiddling. Unacceptable for any mixing experience. I ended up returning it.

Audient ID14 houses everything you need.…

Audient ID14 is recommended for anyone who searches a soundcart with studio quality pre-amps and a sturdy build. The instrument input delivers instantly great recordings. E.G. My Pbass with S.Duncan pick-ups-straight to input, inbuild preamp at 12 o çlock, ad one simple compressor (VST) just to tame the peaks slitly=done. Thanks to the Audient software package=not small it's huge, you are recording ready with the wonderfull Cubase&extra's. With the big knob you can adjust every parameter in Cubase&VST&VSTI-automation etc. A big hug to all the affiliated at Audient&software alliance.

Connection worked first try

Connection worked first try. I no longer need my mixer and it’s so convenient having control close by. The sound quality was very noticeable. Buy this interface.

The audio interface is insanely good

The audio interface is insanely good, was easy to setup and overall quality is great!
There is only one thing that really annoy me:
I had an Evo 8 before this and the main volume of the speakers was controlled by Windows, I could then increase deacrese the volume through my keyboard, with the EVO 16, I have to turn the physical volume knob to 100 then dim the volume through Windows, this is a bit annoying to me.
Excellent work overall!

Thank you for the opportunity to…

Thank you for the opportunity to describe my user experience with the EVO 16 sound card.
I use it as my main sound card in my home studio and for field recordings of vocal ensembles.
Overall, I am very pleased with the card. It meets my requirements and matches the reviews I read about it online.
However, there are a few points I can suggest for improvement, especially compared to my previous Roland Octa Capture sound card, which was released more than a decade ago.
In EVO 16:
1. You cannot activate Smartgain from the software on your computer. This is important in field recordings where the card is not next to you. (Roland does).
2. The software does not have numerical values for faders and Knobs such as Pan, Volume, and Gain. Nor can you tap and write the numerical values in them. This makes it difficult to adjust these values and compare the different buttons. This really bothers me, especially since this feature has been present in DAW and sound card software for many years. (Roland does).
3. The card's display is not bright enough. It is very small and not readable from a high angle. To read the display, you have to get close to it at least 12". (The Roland display is about twice as large and displays much more information: eight items of information for each channel, compared to only Gain on the EVO).
4. The volume of the Main Out and Headphones is weak (about half of the Roland).

ID14

I honestly think my ID14 is the best you can get for the money. Preamps are real console-grade quality.

Easy setup and good software

The setup is very easy. The auto level function is perfect. I use a Windows 11 ARM64 laptop and the software works without any problems. Tried other interfaces before, this one is the best and easiest in that price range.

Simple and really nice

It's mostly really great and i love my ID4. It's simple and does everything i need. The quality feels good too, but i do have some issues with the headphone plug in the front, that sits a bit too loose and sometimes needs a bit of a wiggle to have sound on both ears. It's not a big issue but it happens.

Your mixer doesn't work on windows

Your mixer doesn't work on windows. I have a legal Windows copy and your mixer will not install properly on it, only opens in the task manger and won't do anything. Your interface is useless to me without the mixer, and you haven't even answer my emails.
Thanks to you, I now have an 8 channel brick laying on my desk. YOU SUCK!
