Au Pair World changed my life
Au Pair World changed my life! That's where I found my host family in Germany so many years ago and nowadays I'm such an advocate for it when teaching others how to be au pairs as well
You can find families on FB, on IG but anyone can pretend to be a host family. On Au Pair World not only they have people constantly screening signees, but they also provide all the information you need to know to see if and how you can be an au pair as well, whether you're from the EU or not
On their social media channels they always provide a wide range of tips on how to make things easier, safer, more enjoyable, how to make friends abroad and all the works

Great platform for finding families!
AuPair World is a great platform to find families in many different countries! It is free for au pairs to use and easy to set up a profile and scroll through all the families, I was looking for a family in Australia and was very fortunate when I came across the family I ended up living with! I definitely recommend as I wouldn’t have found such a great family if I hadn’t of used AuPair World.

I found a good family quickly and AuPairWorld always gave me all the support I needed. I learned a lot with the family and the kids - not to mention how much I improved in German. Overall, a truly great experience

Used this to find my host family in Germany
I found AuPairWorld easy to use when I was searching for a family last year. I liked the process of creating my profile and how easy it was to edit it. Also its nice that as a future au pair you don't pay to use the site. I looked for families in Germany predominantly and there were so many lovely families I talked with. I used Aupairworld to see the host families profiles and reach out and after the first 2 messages I would either end the conversation or request a phone call. I did find the process of sifting through all the daily messages from new families but I think that's a common experience.

I did a subscription twice (three months the first time and now for 1 year) because I want to be free to look for aupairs anytime. Our experience with the website was simply great. Easy & quick. After that, finding the right aupair is our responsibility. I've been super lucky every single time because I take a lot of time for this process and I want to find the right person for my family! Now i'm hosting our 3rd and looking for the 4th and 5th aupair.
I had the chance to contact the customer service and they were simply great. I will go on with aupairworld hoping that my future aupairs will be as wonderful as the ones i've already hosted!

They took my money
They took my money, I had use of the platform for 5 days and they shut my account down demanding I post my passport to them. They didn’t reply and I lost my money, my contacts, message and video calls I was setting up.

First, we would like to apologize for any inconvenience that this might have caused. Unfortunately, as you did not provide the complete personal data necessary for a profile on AuPairWorld, your profile had to be temporally restricted.
According to our Terms of Service, which you have confirmed during registration, AuPairWorld reserves the right to verify the accuracy of the information in individual cases and possibly request corresponding documentary evidence from both, au pairs and host families. Given, that you did not complete the data requested, your profile was selected for an ID check. In this context, the following rules apply: the first name and last name must be indicated as stated in the identity card or passport. We consider this to be an essential basis for the security and trust-ability we provide for the families and au pairs registered with AuPairWorld.
We understand your hesitance in providing copies of personal documents via e-mail. However, note that the documents provided are only required for internal use to ensure the safety of all our users. After the verification, all the documents are, of course, deleted.
As a sign of goodwill, your profile was afterwards refrained from an ID check. As your profile is now active, you should have access to all your previous conversations with au pairs. If this is not the case, please inform our support team. This way we will be able to identify any potential technical problem.
Should you not wish to continue your search, please let us know and we will refund your membership fee accordingly.

Aupair World helped me finding the best host family ever. I was just scrolling a bit through the families, mostly for fun, but then I found a family and I knew immediately that I wanna go there...we had 2 videocalls and fixed a date. I spent 5 amazing months in Finland and might go back again after being at home for 1 year. Aupair World helped me with all the questions I had and they were also really lovely!!!
