Poor communication after raising disappointment

Our experience with Automation X became particularly disappointing once we raised concerns about the service.
After investing £7,000 into the programme and spending several months attempting to implement the system, we found that it was not delivering results for our business. At that point, we tried to engage constructively and resolve things in line with the guarantee that had been presented to us.
Unfortunately, communication from that point onwards was very poor.
Responses were slow, inconsistent, and in some cases non-existent. We experienced changes in points of contact during the process, and even after formally requesting a resolution, it took well beyond the timeframe outlined in the agreement to receive any meaningful reply.
What was most frustrating is that it became extremely difficult to have a straightforward conversation about resolving the issue. Rather than working collaboratively to find a fair outcome, communication felt limited and reactive, which ultimately made the situation far more drawn out than it needed to be.
We made genuine efforts to resolve this amicably, but the lack of timely and clear communication made that very challenging.
Based on our experience, I would strongly recommend ensuring expectations around communication, support, and escalation are clearly understood before committing.

A Strong Promise That Didn’t Translate Into Reality

We invested £7,000 into Automation X based on a very bold and specific proposition. The core message was simple. Their system would generate 50 highly qualified meetings within 30 days, driven by a high-volume lead engine that supposedly made this level of performance not just achievable, but expected.

That claim played a significant role in our decision to move forward.

In reality, the outcome couldn’t have been further from what was promised. Over several months of using the system, we did not generate a single qualified meeting. Not one. For a system built entirely around predictable lead generation, that raises serious concerns about its effectiveness, particularly in more specialised or niche markets.

When something doesn’t work, that can happen. What matters is how a company responds when it clearly hasn’t delivered.

In our case, when we raised this and referred back to the guarantee that had been heavily emphasised during the sales process, the response was disappointing. Rather than taking ownership of the outcome, the conversation shifted towards technicalities and interpretations of the agreement.

From a business perspective, that misses the point. The expectation was clear, the result was zero, and the guarantee should have reflected that reality.

Since then, communication has been inconsistent, and there has been little indication of a genuine effort to resolve the situation in a fair and constructive way.

My advice to anyone considering this type of service is to look carefully at the gap between the sales narrative and real-world delivery. Strong guarantees and ambitious claims are easy to present, but the real test is whether a company stands behind them when things do not go to plan.

Unfortunately, in our experience, that standard was not met.

Failed to Deliver on Guarantee and No Resolution Offered

We engaged Automation X on a £7,000 programme based on a very clear promise: they would deliver 50 qualified meetings within 30 days, backed by a guarantee of a full refund + £1,000 as a gesture of goodwill if this wasn’t achieved.

Over a period of around five months, we committed significant time and resource to the process. We attended training, worked closely with their team, and followed the implementation steps provided. Despite this, we did not generate a single meeting or any revenue from the system.

When it became clear that the system was not delivering and was not viable for our niche market, we raised this and formally invoked the guarantee outlined in both their sales process and contract.

Unfortunately, this is where the experience became particularly disappointing.

Automation X refused to honour the guarantee, instead relying on technical interpretations of the agreement, despite the fact that no results were achieved. Since then, communication has been extremely poor. We have experienced delays, lack of responses, and an overall unwillingness to engage constructively to reach a resolution.

We have tried to handle this amicably and reasonably (including not pursuing the additional compensation outlined in the agreement), but the lack of accountability and communication has made that very difficult.

Based on our experience, I would strongly advise others to ensure they fully understand how the guarantee is applied in practice before committing.

Consistent pattern of lies

The Pitch: 50 calls in 30 days or your money back + £1k

The reality: 200+ days, 6 calls, an additional £2k spent on top of the quoted amount. No refund. No communication. Ongoing legal procedures to recover the money.

If you look at the reviews for the founders other companies (cybix ai and nforcd) you will see the same pattern on them all which shows you his attitude to customer service.

Just, Don't.

Let Me Tell You A Story About AutomationX

In June 2025 Daniel Spence contacted me offering his cold email outreach services with a money back guarantee and £1k back if they could not book me 50 meetings in 30 days.

Great! sounds good - lets go ahead. Payment made. Then the excuses start, we can't get your emails to work, we have burned your domains so we need new ones. Sending emails in their personal and company names using the accounts I'm paying for.... YEP, this isnt what I've paid for.

And the best one - your website is blocked by SKY broadband, I use SKY broadband and its not blocked.... oh yeah sorry about that.

When challenged about the lack of progress - we are testing...

3 months in I ask for my money back as clearly it is not going to work out, after lots of wiggling Daniel Spence agrees to refund half back and that they will try and fix the issues and agrees that if they cannot fix the issues then of course the contact will allow a full refund.

Nothing changes, we are still providing leads, 1000's of emails being sent and no responses..... ask again what is going on?

December 2025: AutomationX then provide a further update. We need to send 500k emails to book 50 calls. With an extra $1900 per month requested to do so. Yes thats 10k emails to every one call. Our previous provider was 2k emails to ever booked call and I believe the UK consulting average is circa 1k emails to every call booked.

When this was challenged we are told that AutomationX does not compete with anyone else in the industry and unless we go ahead and spend more they will not honour any refund terms. No attempt to improve the numbers, no attempts to test further.

2 weeks later AutomationX try to increase a standing charge on our account from £120 per month to £640. This is again challenged and they back down, claiming it was only an option....

Thereafter they continue to deny any breach of contract in the hope that we will give up.

So if you want results like this - use AutomationX and Daniel Spence

fake scammer company

After completing the required work and notice period, the company refused to pay the agreed amount and attempted to retrospectively reduce payment without contractual or factual basis. This was accompanied by:

Revocation of my access to company systems immediately after the work was completed
Repeated demands that I “prove” work which the company had already acknowledged in writing
Attempts to reinterpret prior written confirmations once payment became due

I have reported them to fraud action uk, and scotland yard, and cyber crime uk agencies besides waiting further legal advice from my solicitor.

I believe they have used similar underhanded grimy tactics with customers. the other 'good' reviews are fake, lucy is also an employee of the company.

do not work for them and do not pay them, they have no honour or integrity. they continue to create fake reviews to boost their reputation whilst actively being underhanded in terms of business. absolute liars and frauds. I have reported the fake reviews with proof to trust pilot as well as they continue to have my reviews removed under false basis.

We’re sorry to see another review posted from the same former contractor repeating the same claims.

This review comes from a former contractor whose agreement with us was not renewed. We understand that this can be disappointing, and we genuinely regret that the situation has led to ongoing frustration.

However, we want to be clear that all work completed during the contract period was paid in full in accordance with the agreed terms. Access to company systems was removed once the contract ended, which is standard practice for security reasons.

Since these claims were first raised, we have repeatedly invited the reviewer to contact us directly and provide any specific evidence of additional work that they believe was not accounted for. To date, we have not received any such information.

It is also important to note that very similar reviews from the same individual have already been reviewed and removed by Trustpilot for not meeting their guidelines. While we expect this review will likely undergo the same process, we felt it was important to respond transparently in the meantime.

Our door remains open. If the reviewer would like to discuss the matter constructively, we would welcome direct contact so we can review any evidence together and resolve the issue appropriately.

Great system and a genuinely helpful team

I worked with AutomationX to set up my cold outreach infrastructure and the results were impressive from the start. In the first four weeks alone the system generated around 30 booked calls, which immediately justified the investment.

What I’ve appreciated most though is the support since then. They’ve been responsive, helpful and genuinely invested in my success, not just during the initial setup but afterwards as well.

They’ve become trusted partners for my outreach and I’d happily recommend them to anyone looking to build a proper cold outreach system that actually produces results.

Really pleased with results so far

Really pleased with results so far , made my entire investment back then 11 days ! But the best thing is how helpful the team are , Jack , Brenna everyone is really good and knows their stuff inside out . I couldn’t be happier especially as we’re in a difficult market which has traditionally made it hard to get new clients at an affordable rate .

I’ve used dozens of different marketing…

I’ve used dozens of different marketing strategies over the years (social media content , paid social ads, paid google ads, directory listings etc etc) and none of them come close to the success I’ve had with AutomationX. Best results I’ve ever had from a marketing strategy . The team are superb and genuinely so helpful and so excited to see me getting good results so early on in working with them . I’m so pleased I took the leap and won’t be using any other marketing strategy for the foreseeable!

Scammers Who Harass Reviewers Into Silence - Avoid

Very convincing scam artists, but avoid at all costs, Delivered absolutely nothing $1800 down the drain

UPDATE: Feb 2026 (What happened after I left this review):

Rather than address a legitimate $1,800 grievance, this company launched an active campaign to silence me.

They filed a defamation report with Trustpilot to have this review removed. Trustpilot investigated and sided with me, reinstating my review and confirming it does not breach any guidelines.

They filed a personal information complaint to force an edit.

I am complying only to remove a name. But every potential customer deserves to know: instead of refunding or resolving a genuine complaint, this company spent their time attempting to bury it through Trustpilot's reporting system. That is who you are doing business with.

Separately, an independent contractor has publicly described on this very platform being denied payment after completing work, having system access revoked, and being told to "prove" work they no longer had access to and is now pursuing legal action to recover money owed.

In my view, the pattern of brand new one-review accounts appearing with glowing feedback precisely as negative reviews surface is worth drawing your own conclusions about.

Do your due diligence. Thoroughly.

Thank you for sharing your feedback.

We take all reviews seriously and are committed to addressing concerns from legitimate clients.

However, based on the information provided in this review, we have no record of ever working with this person, and they have only left their initials rather than full details, which—combined with the other factors—leads us to suspect this may not be a genuine review.

We also have no record of having ever had a service at the price point of $1,800 that we have ever sold to anyone. Additionally, we have had no direct communication from this reviewer, despite inviting them in a previous review to contact us so we could investigate and resolve any concerns.

We note the comments regarding “glowing reviews” appearing as negative reviews surface and the statements about harassment. We want to assure all readers that we do not harass or attempt to silence anyone and that we aim to maintain a fair and transparent platform for all feedback.

If we are mistaken and this is indeed a legitimate client, we strongly encourage them to reach out directly with their full details and any supporting documentation. We are committed to resolving verified issues fairly and promptly.

We remain open and ready to help should they contact us to clarify and resolve this matter.
