Auto one Milan is a scam
We booked through DiscoverCars.com with full coverage and a deductible. When we arrived at Auto One / Surprice at Milan Malpensa, the staff used pressure tactics to upsell more insurance and an upgrade. I fell right into it.
I was so confused. We clearly declined the extra insurance, but the agent said a €100 fuel deposit was needed and had me tap my card. Later, we saw a charge of €230 — far above what we agreed to — with no clear explanation.
We received a basic economy car, not an upgrade, and didn’t get our deposit back. Staff at pickup and return gave no invoice or support, just told us to “contact customer service.” When I did, the agent admitted the charge was made before I confirmed anything, and that nothing could be done.
We’ve now filed a formal complaint with ECC and are pursuing a chargeback.
This was disappointing and felt misleading. They know what they are doing I hope others don’t go through the same.
