I initially had a positive experience with AutoSpray Body & Paint Repair Specialists.

I contacted them for a quote to repair and respray the offside bumper on my brand-new Mazda CX-30 in Soul Red Crystal after it was damaged by another vehicle less than 24 hours after collection from the dealer. Barrington and his brother were courteous professional and provided a competitive quote.

Soul Red Crystal (paint code 46V) is notoriously difficult to colour-match as it uses a complex three-layer paint system. I raised this concern before the work commenced and asked if genuine Mazda paints would be used. I did not receive a definitive response but was assured that they possessed the expertise to achieve a satisfactory result. This confidence enabled me to proceed with the work. I also requested that the car be left unwashed after the repair as the paint is susceptible to swirl marks and abrasion.

The repair was completed swiftly and initially appeared to be executed well. Upon returning home, I meticulously washed the entire car using microfibre mitts and towels. I commenced with a prewash using Gtechniq W4 Citrus Snow Foam followed by a rinse and subsequent hand wash with Gtechniq G Wash. I utilised separate wash and rinse buckets, both equipped with grit guards. Upon closer inspection, I discovered that the paint match was not as satisfactory as anticipated, lacking the depth and lustre of the original. The black plastic trim was simultaneously scratched and abraded. While I acknowledge the challenges of this colour, I believe the use of genuine Mazda paint would have resulted in a closer match. Equally concerning was the presence of scuffs and scratches on the black plastic trim surrounding the wheel arches and bumper, as well as scuff marks on the interior of the driver’s door that were not present prior to the repair. These do not disappear or rub off after washing. There were also two small chips to the paint on the edge of the drivers door.

Upon returning to discuss these issues, I was disappointed with the response. Rather than addressing my concerns professionally and seeking to resolve my complaints, Barrington was dismissive and at times somewhat aggressive. He ultimately walked away and told me to ‘Just Go Away’. Good customer service is as important as the quality of the repair, particularly when problems arise.

Regrettably, due to the damage caused during the repair and the manner in which my concerns were handled, I cannot recommend AutoSpray and will only give them one star.

I had an unusual request, asking whether my rangemaster oven doors could be resprayed, that I sent via the company WhatsApp over the weekend with no expectation that I would get a response till Monday at least. I was surprised when I got a message back from Barrington who was only to happy to help me. I uploaded pictures of what it was I was wanting and he quoted me over WhatsApp and said to go in when I was ready. I took in my project to Barrington along with a sample of the colour I wanted him to match and left it with him. A week later, I got a call to say my project had been completed and Barrington sent over a video of the finished product alongside my sample colour which was a perfect match.

I was totally blown away by the level of professional, the standard and quality of the workmanship. The end product was better than I could ever have imagined. Barrington and his team are truly wonderful and not afraid to embrace the odd requests that may come their way. If I ever need a paint specialist again, I will be sure to call on Barrington and his team. Exceptional

Top work from Barrington and the Autospray staff, Quick turnaround to sort a back bumper repair looks brand new again, even gave a clean inside and out. Had work done from Autospray before and will be using again. Highly recommend.

Miracles are happening in west Devon! Autospray did an excellent job sorting a number of scratches and dings on my leased Tesla Y. All done with good humour, helpfulness and a goody bag of local treats. I am very grateful and will certainly return unless i manage to improve my driving ability and avoid scratches in future.

My car had a small crease at the bottom of the front wing. It was in a difficult place to repair. I also had a scuff on one of the door mirrors. The repair was invisible and the colour was a perfect match - I would not hesitate to use them again. The workshop was not easy to find and it didn't have kurb appeal but you have to look passed all of that. The staff were very confident in their ability, they were proffesional and they delivered.

As for the repair itself it looks brand new and was done quickly and promptly

Avoid avoid avoid! Unwilling to accept responsibility for damage to my nephews windscreen, despite having evidence from a dashcam! Claims he has had the business for 25 years but Companies House states he has only been director since August 2023! Cannot be trusted!

Excellent work repairing bumper and splitter on my mugen jap import car. Colour match for the wheels great, able to repair and cut chrome tips perfectly to fit new exhaust (bespoke job), saved me money off original quote by colour matching the splitter so well to the bumper, the bumper didn't need to be painted which I was expecting.

I've just had a minor door respray and 4 callipers sprayed . Absolutely brilliant job, car is clean and ready to go. Very easy to deal with and book a convenient appointment, highly recommended. Thankyou.

Leon and his team did such a fantastic job of repairing the front end of my daughter's car a few months ago (should have posted a review) that I took my own car in for a 'cosmetic makeover'.

As the car is quite a few years old there was flaking paint on the bonnet a dink to the front skirt and other bits of flaking and scratches to the bodywork. All in all looking a bit sad and faded but still a lovely car.

Well... when I arrived to collect the car I couldn't believe the transformation. The paintwork was gleaming and not a sign of its former woes. In fact, showroom ready!

Leon dealt with our car after an accident about a year ago and he did an amazing job.

Today we had a car drive into ours in Tesco carpark.

We went to see Leon to see how much it might cost to repair the scratching on the passenger door. We were not sure if our excess would be more than it would cost to repair it ourselves!

Leon took a look at it and said he would try something first.

He polished out the paint that was left from the car that had hit us and by the time he had finished it looked amazing!!
He said there was a slight scratch but nothing too much if we wanted to leave it.

He could have said it would cost a couple of hundred pounds and we would have believed him!! He is honest, thoughtful and a really nice person as he did none of that!

If you want someone who is honest and will do an amazing job this is the place to go.

Just picked up my Insignia SRi for some damage to the side skirt. The guys once again knocked it out of the ballpark. Outstanding job once again this is the 4th time they have done work for me with vehicles I’ve owned.
