No rental car, no refund

The car company was not happy with my Spanish drivers license and did not rent me a car and told me that they would cancel the rental contract with no charge. However, Check24 gave me NO REFUND, because as per the fine print it is my responsibility to have an international drivers licence. They said that autovermietung.de is the provider. They knowingly and deliberately make FULL profit from other people's misfortune. IT's unethical and disgusting
UPDATE: Check24 did refund me after this review, but to my understanding autovermietung.de still kept the full booking payment
