Don't go to this "school" even if they pay you for it

I'm Dutch but I'll use English so more people can read it directly.

In two words: fraud and ineptitude

You can literally see frauds happening in front of you if you just paid a little attention. For example, if you just know a little about architecture or construction business, you will scream fraud when you see the budget for its Den Bosch building's recent renovation, it's that obvious. Unfortunately no one cares. Less obvious ones involve
international students and some others. Poor guys/girls, if you are foreigner, especially non-EU, run for your lives!!!

Totally agree the government should razed the school's buildings to the ground, or turn them into museums of "awful education" or apartments or something 😂

I'm so ashamed to say I'm from Den Bosch.

A mad house

I'm not the petty type but this "school" is just so bad.
You'll get either lackeys or lackeys who are nasty as your "lecturer". They're a few who are not inept and responsible, every student know who they are and turn to them, so they got overwhelmed while disliked by other teachers. A highly toxic place.
Avans was known as "
technische hogeschool van Noord Brabant". It was fought with frauds, general mismanagement, sprinkled with a few cases with harassment. Look it up, some proficiency in Dutch is required.
Guess why they had to change its name?
There was a teacher there who were given a medal by the school, then two years later he and school started sueing each other.
A huge argument broke out between a "teacher" and a student, it was so loud. The day after the drama, at our building's entrance, a billboard (in Dutch) says "if you are having mental problems, seek help!" That single poor girl on that billboard looks a lot like the student who was in that argument the previous day, oh and there's no contact info of any psychologist whatsoever.

So glad I deregistered a few weeks ago. For those who are still studying there, just don't blame anyone if you barely make 1500 euro a month after graduation. Not a typo!

Too many nasty tales, I don't even care to recount more. There's plenty more, just interview anyone who studies there.
