Been using avc for about 18 years now
Been using avc for about 18 years now, love it. I mostly use it for downloading videos and some format conversion. Cant say enough good things about this software. I would recommend this software.

Very promising AI for improving old photos
AVCLabs AI Image Enhancer & Upscaler does a solid job of improving image quality, especially with older, low-resolution digital images, enhancing detail and reducing noise without much manual effort.
Its AI-driven adjustments produce crisp, clean results, making it ideal for users looking for quick improvements.
Batch processing is smooth, saving time on multiple images.
However, the software could benefit from faster processing speeds and more advanced customization options.
Overall, it's a capable tool, but it would excel with increased speed and user control over the adjustments.
We can also wish for less cartoonish treatments with certain types of photos or improved skin textures, but that will hopefully come with updates and improvements.

Bought, got code... CODE DOESN'T WORK
From 1 stars to 5. Bought the software via YouTube link and didn't see a choice between MacOs and Windows subscription so my code didn't work (got mac, accidentally bought Windows). After I kicked up a fuss because was chasing deadline I was offered a new code for MacOs. Software works great. It's very AI'y. But better this than super grainy footage 720p upscaled to 4k in a normal fashion. Anyway shout out and thanks Bella for putting up with me when I was very upset. SO BEWARE: BUY THE SOFTWARE FROM THEIR OWN WEBSITE AND CHOOSE THE OPTION FOR THE RIGHT OPERATING SYSTEM.

Unusable software for me
The software runs super slow in my M1 Pro Apple Silicon MBP when processing.
I see 64% of CPU usage, four performance cores at almost unused, GPU at only 30%!
Result: conversion speed around 4-5 frame per second.
I would not invest money on this. Also, now that I want to delete it, there is not a software delete utility. I am afraid the installer has put some sw components in my Mac outside of the app folder.

Thee worse pice of sh!t company.
Thee worse pice of sh!t company you'll ever come across. They offer no help and will steal your money. I have a PC running a RTX 4090 GPU and a i9 14900KS CPU and this crappy software will not run whatsoever. After 300hrs the software still can't render 1%. Then PayPal allows them to steal your money and walk away like the crooks they are. You've been warned, stay away from these scammers.

Enhanced old photos
Just what I needed. Not a great time, there never is for a funeral, but getting the images together for a visual tribute can be hard when looking over old photos. I needed to up the file size and have create a better dpi and this did the job. Colours were better, images sharper. I just tried the once, enhancing 100% but will play around with it and see what the results are when enhancing 400%.
It can colorise b&w photos but b&w photos tell a time period for me so that's not an option I'll use.
Easy to use with just a few tabs to choose from. Going to use it for all the visual tribute pictures to make it look as good as possible. AI is pretty useful these days.
