Love the bike, especially the programmable boost levels. But I withheld a star because like so many other companies, you equipped these bikes with gearings that are grossly too high! A bike this... See more

I own 3 Aventon bikes but live in Australia. Really like the quality and reliability of these bikes. Have impressed my work colleagues with the bikes and they too have them now. Only downfall, is there is no shipping of parts to Australia. My recent purchase was a rear wheel for my Aventon Abound (broken spokes issue). Cost me $364 AUS from Aventon and then $300 AUS for forward shipping. I was shocked with the shipping cost and could not understand why. When the wheel arrived, it was packed into a very large cardboard box - so much of my shipping costs was air. I appreciate how well it was packed but learned that I must specify the smallest box possible in the future. I would not mind paying extra for shipping direct from Aventon to Australia (for parts). The bikes are very popular with Australians and our riding conditions. It would also be extremely popular if the Aventon Bikes had a VIN Number because we will soon be able register them for road use. That process has begun and maybe something you could think about ahead of this breakthrough. Over all, I may have paid a premium for my Aventon products but am always impressed with your workmanship. Kind regards, Garry Parmenter (Australia)

I purchased the Level 4 bike and I just love it! Everything about this bike is top notch; gearing, braking, the suspension, battery life, etc. I had to work with customer support on a couple issues; one I created and they responded very quickly and then another issue with the bike in shipping and their customer service is friendly, competent and went above and beyond. I highly recommend this company and their products.

Customer service although a bit short with me on the phone was helpful and easy to understand.

Chad was a great help, per usual. I’m a repeat customer and Chad always takes care of me. There are times he’s even offered to help me by coming in at times. He’s not even required to be there. He goes above and beyond and I would say most of the staff that I’ve encountered at Erik’s in Oak Brook do the same.

The Level 4 bike is truly a marvel in biking. I can’t speak highly enough about this electric commuter bike.

The step bike thru is what makes it possible for my wife to continue to ride. Thanks for this new model.

Haven't ridden a bike in 30+ years. Getting an e-bike has made that possible again. And I can’t put a fine enough point on how freaking FUN it is to ride an e-bike. The Aventon pace4 is loaded with tech, which I love, and it’s so easy to learn how to make my experience joyful.

I love my Aventure M. I am super impressed with all the tech - and how smooth it is. I love the autoshifting! It also stops on a dime. Great bike!!

I bought a bike from Aventon several years ago and have enjoyed it. I thought a light weight one would be a good option, so I went online and ordered one. I built the first one and it was a pain in the butt, so when I saw they had the option to send it to a shop near by and they would build it, I went with that option.
Anyway, apparently the shop that they had on their website that was close is no longer open. I was open to different options of getting the bike, such as canceling the order and reordering it at another location etc. Anyway, I got an email saying the bike had been delivered, and I had been charged. However. I didn’t have a bike. I called them, and they told me that the bike had been returned to them, however because it was returned they could not sell it to me as new. The problem was- at this point they were out of stock of what I wanted. Seems like a really stupid system that you can’t make it work for the customer when you have the bike back. Anyway, I went to the Grand Canyon this past week with my daughter without the bikes and did the hikes and shuttle busses instead of using the bikes. Very disappointed in this shopping experience.

The Level bike I purchased 5 years ago is a high quality piece of equipment, I give it a 5 star rating. I currently have 8400 miles on the bike and was getting concerned about the battery life so I called your customer service to verify the purchase of a new battery. They sold me a new battery that would work for my level bike so I would have a back-up battery. When I tried the new battery it wouldn't work. The system (computer) wouldn't turn on. The new battery requires a wiring change. Final result is I have a new battery and I still love my bike but my original battery will no longer work after the wiring upgrade so I didn't end up with the back-up battery I wanted.

I guess my issue is that the Aventure A1 controller is going to fail. It apparently is inevitable. We have two A1s and absolutely loved them. At around 2K miles, my wife's A1 got an Error code 29, Over Voltage. The bike would not do anything with that code present. After days of trying different batteries, changing sensors, taking the controller apart to check for any evident damage, I finally concluded that the controller itself went bad inside somewhere. It would perform normal with a battery that only had a 60 % or less charge. Ordered a new controller for around 50 bucks and it fixed the problem. I thought, "things go bad, it's naturally going to happen".
Then the following year, my A1 controller did the exact same thing. Error 29, Over Voltage, with 3029 miles on it. 7 miles from home. The wife had to run home and get the truck because you can't pedal these fat tire bikes very far without power. I didn't even bother troubleshooting, I just ordered another one, but now they're almost $100 with shipping. But it fixed the problem. How long before it happens again?
We loved our A1s and rode the heck out of them but now am afraid to trust them because you never know when the controller is going to error again, leaving us stranded.

I love my Level 3 Aventon bike. The company support group has helped me three times with order issues and function questions, and has really shined.
