Fly screen door lovely instructions utterly useless
Bought a fly screen door from them and it arrived ftom their french counterpart. Lovely door, absolutely horrendous instructions, the worst I have ever seen and I have put quite a few things together in the past. Completely incomprehensible, utterly useless. Something that should have tajen 2 hours took 2.5 days.
Fly screen door kit is excellent
Well, I was very impressed with this company. I ordered the face fit fly screen door on the first of February and it arrived from France on the ninth.
What a pleasure it was to assemble something so well designed and made. The plastic corner and centre joints were very sturdily made and fix into the aluminium sections a treat, making for a very neat and straight forward assembly. I especially like the way the thin insert strips draw the fly screen mesh tight over the door as they are applied and the general excellent quality of the parts.
The pictogram instructions are clear enough and if you are used to putting things together you should have no problems. But always use the old saying, “measure twice and cut once” before cutting the aluminium sections to your chosen size.
To summarise, this kit makes for a very neat, effective and long lasting fly screen door that I would have no hesitation in recommending.

I placed an order valued over £300 in mid January 2021 and to this day 30.03.2021 still can’t fit the stuff they have sent.
Order's being sent back from their carrier in France back to the hapless manufacturer in France some three times and then finally we receive screens not made to measure without fitting instructions. Emails sent not answered, unbelievable non Customer Service, a French Company to be avoided.
Non existent customer services
Well we’re do I start..!! Purchased a shutter last summer which after months finally arrived in September..
However on New Year’s Day the shutter started playing up and was hit and miss when using it
We had my elderly parents around to see our new bar and when trying to get out the shutter wouldnt open at all
We could here the motor but the remote wouldn’t work
My husband had to remove several slats from the bottom in order to get my parents out (75 +78 )
The day after I contacted Avos dim who asked for pictures to be sent to evaluate what they could do .
We sent these and got a reply saying they could replace the remote and motor and indeed that had been ordered
However the slats we would have to pay for as we’d damaged them trying to get our parents out..
Eventually we were told we could have 15% off as a guesture but had to place the order ourselves for the slots and then we would receive the partial refund
With no other option we ordered and paid for the slats on the 18 th January and noticed it said brexit changes
All orders over £135 would get the vat refunded within 10 days (28.33 in our case )
On the 25 th jan we received an email saying our order had been dispatched ( motor and remote ) with dpd
On the 27 th an email from dpd asking me to pay import charges of £37.62 or my order would be sent back to the sender.
I contacted David Holmes the uk manager who told me to ignore this..
However I received 6 more of these to which David said he was dealing with them ,it was an error on their half and being dealt with..
On the first feb I received an email telling me my order had been returned back to the sender..
So a month after talking to Avos dim and waiting for my free replacements and taking David’s advicenothing had been resolved
His response was it’s gone back to the warehouse to be reshipped and they will get it back to me as soon as they can
On the 9 th I contacted David again for an update to be told me the item should be on its way back..and the slats will be sent out shortly
Then he retracted the vat refund that we were promised..saying this is no longer happening..
So here we are the 15 February
No slats , no remote , no motor, no vat refund and no partial refund..
David Holmes is ignoring my emails now even when my last one stated I was going to post on here ...
I paid good money out for this shutter and even though through a faulty motor and remote I’ve had to pay more money out..I’m still out of pocket and no replacements
My next step David is to take legal advice as this product is not fit for purpose and the warranty isn’t worth the paper it’s wrote on ..
The customer service is appalling and I warn everyone about this..
If anyone on here has a ceo email adress I’d appreciate it as perhaps they can throw a light on we’re my goods and money are

Emailed Avos sun 5 th March telling them my next step is letter of intent to which I recieved a response that day off David Holmes telling me that he would be in contact me as quickly as poosible to give me some possible resolutions

Ordered a roller shutter which came damaged, a complete new unit was supplied which works perfect,

Once installed shutter was very good quality.
I have to stress i found the haulage company which avosdim use where dreadfull
DBSchenker, these caused all the issues I had, damaged parcels late delivery and poor customer services with awful tracking.

I have had a resolved refund from PayPal now and I apologies for the rant as I am not really a keyboard warrior,. I think the issue really with all of this was the lack of communication from the supplier

Excellent Roller Shutters
I bought some large roller shutters (just under 3metres wide) from AvosDim UK website. Very happy with them. They were easy to install, the measurements were spot on and so they all fit perfectly. There wasn't any need to adjust the drop limits. I also bought the wireless bridge to work with my home network. Again this worked perfectly. I had some minor cosmetic damage to one of the shutters that probably occurred in transit during delivery but AvosDim are sending a replacement part. This was easily arranged with them. I will be purchasing more shutters from them in the near future.

Don’t buy from this company !!! Ordered a shutter when delivered and we paid a professional to install, several
Of the slats were damaged. Emailed them straight away and they offered me a refund of 10% and new slats delivered which we refused as I would have to pay someone to come and replace the slats (didn’t want to risk doing it myself) so they said they would do a partial refund of 15% which we accepted but we have never received the partial refund and all our emails are being ignored and then tonight the shutters stopped working half way down and then just dropped to the ground. Now it won’t even open, so here I go with the emails and phone calls. Avoid buying from this company As once they have your money they don't care and their customer service is non existent

Avoid: Removable Magnetic Framed Fly Screen
Bough two Removable Magnetic Framed Fly Screen from Avodim. These took about two weeks to arrive. The quality was really poor. The magnetic strip does not fit properly in the frame and it is impossible to mount! I tried everything. I would certainly not recommend this product as it was unusable and a total waste of money.

Do not use! I ordered a custom fly screen. It arrived with all the machine filings in the box. No packaging separating metal parts. All Scratched As you can imagine. Offered a partial refund or replacement. Replacement arrived in exact same condition. I was offered a return for refund initially, then all Further contact was ignored by the company.

Ordered a shutter in May for a workshop. The shutter was delivered, though manufacture and delivery was somewhat delayed due to COVID it was no issue as it was left boxed due to the building of the workshop It was to be installed in was also delayed several months as materials were not available. Eventually workshop built end of July and shutter installed. Only then was the damaged noticed on several of the slats and we also have issue with the auto stop which doesn’t work in one direction. I’ve called the Uk number countless times - no answer. Tried the number in France - no answer. I’ve emailed...UK and France countless times, I’ve sent messages on Messenger/Facebook both UK and France - I’ve done everything in my power to contact this company but no response whatsoever. They clearly don’t care - have taken my money and have no interest in rectifying my issues, I’m even more infuriated as I see they have responded to others reviews on here in the meantime. Do yourself a favour avoid using this company and find another.
EDIT: WOW I GOT CONTACTED FINALLY! received a response through messenger asking if this was resolved - I said no...heard nothing more!!! LOL
Thinking that they must be getting back to normal I rang the UK number and got through to David - nice helpful chap - processed order for replacement slats immediately. Apparently the french side of the company is not very good at passing on UK contact/enquiries - Oh really? I would never have guessed. So 3 months later issues resolved

Very happy with my fly screens…
Very happy with my fly screens especially for the price, easy to instore, delivery was a little slow but not surprised with the current pandemic, they did keep in touch and gave me a 1 hr delivery slot with DPD. Will be ordering some more.
Damaged and no response from Customer Service
Ordered fly screen on the 14th June, delivered 27th July. Sadly two items damaged and have been chasing Customer Service ever since. Three contact forms sent to France and Birmingham. At date of writing this reveiw have not heard anything from either depot. Will try to call on Monday but from the nature of other reviews I am not hopeful of response.
They went above and beyond
Having read some of the reviews I think some customers’ comments regarding deliveries might have been more tolerant given Covid-19 and the unprecedented free time we all had to do those bucket-list DIY projects; deliveries were erratic with even the most prolific online sellers - so smaller companies are not going to be exempt.
I did have delivery issues but emails were answered promptly and the issue was resolved to my satisfaction. OK I didn’t give 5 stars simply because the instructions are not as good as they could be. While the graphics are excellent, they do need to be supported by a few more written instructions to make sense.
