Unprofessional billing practices

Refuse to specify their salted bills and do not follow their own conditions as listed on the website. I think they just come up with the maximum random number they feel that you will pay and then justify it ad hoc with current activities.

An AWA Partner, a Patent and Design Attorney intimidated me

I find it utterly wrongful that a partner from AWA in Denmark, a stated European Patent and Design Attorney, is writing a private email to me from his work address. This happened yesterday.

The email contained the known blue colored AWA logo, their phone number, the Danish address in Strandgade, Copenhagen, stated the in message may contain confidential information and/or privileged legal advice etc...

I'm a designer - imagine the "ohh gosh" cold sweat-thrilling effect to see an email to me from a company full of lawyers around the world who daily deals with design and intellectual properties!

Not okay AWA Denmark - you are supposed to be protecting Intellectual property rights, but a staff of yours breaking into other innocent people's daily life with this kind of email for private matters, is not okay. It's indeed intimidating!

Whatever this attorney had on his mind, he should keep it private and issue from his own email address instead if it has nothing to do with AWA.

According to Danish law § 263, the contents af the email can not be stated here, nor shared with the Danish AWA Group CEO or the management of AWA Denmark, but I have sent them a copy of the header for proof and complained about the said person.

I sincerely hope either of the mangement, or HR, will teach their own attorney about the law and then will issue an unconditional apology to me asap.

Follow up:
Management of AWA Denmark wrote back to let me know that their partner will not repeat his mistake again. Thank you but...:

There was no apology, understanding or regret in the mail, whatsoever. IMO lack of leadership and sounds like it's apparently more important to protect AWAs reputation, rather than admit the obvious mistake. And from other management, who I copied, no reply either. OMG!

On Trustpilot AWAs rating is at this moment a low 2.9. Maybe the AWA Denmark should have taken this into consideration before replying to me.

The AWA partner, the attorney who intimidated me ‐ no apology from him either. What bad behaviour! 👎

Even AWA Denmark flagged my post. Trustpilots guidelines say: For some of the flagging reasons, we first ask the business to contact you directly to address the problem. That didn't happen. So I wrote to the management of AWA Denmark to ask why I was flagged – no reply!

AND – as you can see, AWA Denmark did not have succes to flag me down! 💪

Taking advantage of inventors instead of helping.

AWA Patent makes sloppy work in their search for previous patents, to increase their chance of getting to write your patent application. When a patent is being rejected with a shitload of previous patents that AWA missed, they try to make it sound like you still have a chance if you just pay them more upfront. If you call their bluff by only offering provision, they suddenly admit that your patent has no chance to be approved.
