I had my patio done with Indian Sandstone three years ago. It was done by professional specialists in laying patios, and they used Easyjoint. I am impressed that the joints look as perfect as when they finished the job. It is worth noting that my patio is raised on a platform, and at a good angle so rainwater flows away nicely. I am impressed with Easyjoint, so we bought a few tubs for a relative's patio which is old and was full of weeds in the joints, which had been previously filled with cement and sand. It was a horrendous job removing the cement fillers that remained there, and had become brittle and broken allowing the weeds to root within. It struck me that using cement provides a very hard joint, but definitely not weed proof as it breaks in time. The end of the story is that we could not remove all the old cement fillers, however the ones that we left behind, are not yet broken. The new easyjoint fillers look neat, and were easy to apply. We looked at various youtube tutorials about how best to apply the product, which I found extremely valuable. In short, the old patio now looks great, and we hope it lasts but not expecting miracles as the patio meets the lawn and water tends to accumulate before it is fully absorbed by the lawn. However, so far, so good, and very pleased with the result. If we have to replace the fillers in the future, at least it will be much easier to do so with Easyjoint.

I emailed Azpects for advice about how to remove oil-based paint that had been spilt by contractors on my patio’s natural stone paving slabs. They responded immediately with initial advice and again in more detail after discussing the problem with their specialist chemists. They even sent me their recommended solvent in a sample bottle for me to experiment without risking a purchase of something that might not have worked.
This is remarkable customer service and very much appreciated.

Answered the morning after my question and whilst they didn’t directly answer my specific question, they sent a link so that I could investigate my options

This product like all brush in permeable grouts is plain terrible. I used this last year on my patio and its not last 12 months. Put it down as per instructions. I even compacted it in with a trowel. I noticed after about 6 months it started to go grainy and breaking up , then it basically turned to sand, it simply cannot handle the rain. I spoke to a few landscaping companies and they told me never to use Easy joint as it never lasts. I have someone coming round in the next few weeks to put something down called flowpoint.
Its taken me just an hour to rake out this awful stuff , learnt an expensive lesson as has a few people on here by the looks of things.

I recently used Azpects easy grout on a brand new porcelain patio. Following the instructions I added the correct amount of water (that wasn’t written on the tub, I had to go online) to the 15kg bag of grout. The coverage was terrible and did not flow across the porcelain like it was meant too. Which left a LOT of cleaning to do.
For the second batch I added an extra 400ml of water and it spread like a dream, filled the joints perfectly and was relatively easy to clean up.
The third batch was terrible, following the same method I had used for the second batch and the grout had dried within the space of 10 minutes. I tried cleaning it up with a Washboy and sponge, same as I did with the second batch but where it had dried too quickly I had to use a jet wash and scrubbing brush to remove the excess from the tops of the tiles.
Each tub was labelled as having 3x5kg bags of grout inside but instead it was 1x15kg which is too much for two people on a patio with large tiles as that one bag covered 20sqm. Which is a large area to grout and clean in one go.
I would never recommend this grout to anyone, the bags and coverage is too great unless you have at least 4 people helping to clean up the residual mess.

About two years ago I spent a long time removing all the failing mortar from the gaps in my patio slabs. I was advised that Easyjoint would be the way to refill those gaps and spent £600 on the stuff in the belief that it would be as resilient and robust as standard mortar. Big mistake. When I came to jetwash the patio this spring the Easyjoint just washed out like sand on a beach. The stuff is easy to apply but just as easy to wash out. Complete waste of money.

I was advised by Sika Technical Dept to use diluted Caustic Soda to remove surface residue from there own brand of Patio Seal. Despite several attempts nothing happened. Consequently I researched & purchased Azpect Sealer Remover which was supported by their Technical Department who were incredibly helpful. The product did exactly what the instructions said & I'm delighted with this outcome with all unsightly Sika Patio Seal residue now removed.

My enquiry was dealt with very quickly and useful advice was given. I'm not sure whether the product will be suitable for my installation. I am grateful for the time taken to advise me.

£300 spent on Easyjoint only to find product dusty and breaking up 2 months later.
Apparently this is due to not being suitable for chamfered paving slab, a fact that is only apparent once sealed tub opened and instructions read.
Money & labour costs wasted due to instructions inside a sealed tub.
Avoid this product
I’m just in the process of raking out all of the easyjoint and repointing with sand and cement.
Ever since this stuff was put down four years ago it has never been any good, every winter more and more was washed out. Even now when I’m raking it out it doesn’t take much effort, just a scrape with a decent screwdriver and it falls out.
Save your money and do it the old fashioned way first time and you will save yourself a lot of grief later on.
I got very swift replies to my questions. Jeff Carter was very helpful and knowledgeable.
We was recommended to use this product on a newly installed drive at our directors house the product was simple to use with very clear instructions two coats were applied as suggested and dried quickly and has given fantastic protection against bird pop and oil droplets from classic cars would highly recommend using this on any driveway .
Have been using Azpects Algae Remover and Cleaner since my patio was rebuilt 5 years ago. It was recommended by the supplier of my paving slabs. Does was it says on the tin (bottle) and lasts for 12 months.
Highly recommended.

The product is not fit for purpose. The advertiment and box clearly states that it is perfect for porcelain however they only guarantee the product if you use a 6:1 mix base. They admit that the only way to use this product is to lay the porcelain in a way that doesn't meet BS standards so how they can sell a product that is perfect for porcelain but cant be used in a way that doesn't meet BS standards is appalling. It misleading and false advertisement. Non of the builders merchants are aware of this issue yet still sell it.

Excellent product - very pleased with the result, only needing to use a minimal amount to achieve a really good finish plus its so easy to apply.
Although it isn't cheap this is a quality product that does do exactly what it is meant to.
Great customer service - really impressed all round!
Easy joint. Anything but. Absolutely useless, separates worse than sand doesn’t work at all. Save your money. Rubbish.

I have been using Azpects products for a few years now. I'm a landscaper and use the products for pointing and cleaning. But most of all it's the support I receive from Tom. Nothing is too much trouble, and help is only a message away. Great product, great support.
I contacted the company by email to gather some information on one of its products. The speed of response was excellent and all my questions were answered comprehensively. Gold star for Dave. Just wish all companies had the same level of aftersales service!
