Poor experience.

Poor experience.Ordered a surprise gift to be sent to a friend with 1st class delivery. It didn’t arrive. I was never sent a tracking reference. I contacted customer services to be told that they hadn’t paid the right postage so the item was being held pending payment of a fee. It was suggested that I should ask my friend to pay the fee and then send them the receipt and they would pay it! I declined and suggested alternatives, which they refused. So, I am not going to ask my friend to pay for the gift (seems a bit rude!) Now I have to wait and hope the Royal Mail get tired of holding it and send it back to Banter. Then I have to hope they issue a refund. Yes. That was their solution to the problem they caused by paying the wrong postage.

All in all a poor experience so I wouldn’t recommend or use them again.

EDIT FOLLOWING SUPPLIER REPLY:
The supplier is correct - they did not refuse my suggested resolutions so, I will rephrase. They ignored my suggested resolutions without offering any reason why. They did apologise, that is true. However, the resolutions offered were not designed to rebuild trust and put the customer back into the position they should have been in ie sending a surprise gift to a friend. The resolutions suggested were designed to protect them from losing the £15 paid for a mug and postage. Hope this satisfies the supplier for accuracy.

I just want to reply because a few things in this review are untrue.

We didn't refuse anything.

We told you straight away we must have accidentally booked the order in with the wrong weight/postage after checking the tracking.

We've given 3 options to you.

- Your friend pay the postage & we pay it back to your friend
- You get us a photo of the slip royal mail has left your friend so we can pay the extra postage online via the royal mail portal (they won't let us pay without this card info)
- We refund once the order is returned to us.

Not once have we refused to help you. I've gone through the full email thread & I can see Jaye was apologetic & gave you the options we would give every customer in this instance.

Quick delivery

Placed my order at 9pm on a Friday night, had my confirmation email also explaining on postage & delivery, as it fell on a wkend absolutely no issue that this would be processed on the Monday, to my surprise 4pm on the Sunday it arrived 😃 fabulous service, will use again & recommend

Excellent customer service.

I've just received my first order from Banter Cards.

Their website is easy to navigate.

I'm really pleased with the products received. Lovely novelty socks and baby vest, exactly as illustrated on their website. Great personalised gifts.

Products purchased as birthday presents arrived via Royal Mail in plenty of time.

Excellent customer service from Jaye who sent friendly email updates. The personal touch made me feel so much more confident when purchasing online from a company I haven't used before.

I highly recommend Banter Cards!

This company is the definition of a THIEF

This company is the definition of a THIEF. Stay away from them, I do not know how they managed to have this score but DO NOT TRUST THEM. I have ordered an article in MAY and I am still waiting for it since. I ordered it for a bachelorette party and did not receive it for the event, the company is blaming the UK customs. What a shame ! I wrote a message last week to ask for my money back as I am not sure my article will be delivered after almost 3 months!! They are ignoring my messages. This is totally illegal, unprofessional and disgusting. I was happy to offer this t shirt to my friend and now I cannot do anything but share my true and honest opinion about this « company ». Please, do not do the same mistake as I did. As they do not seem to care about my emails, I hope at least that they pay attention to the guests reviews otherwise it is definitely a zero!!!You should be ashamed of yourself !!

Great selection of cards, however I wasn’t overly impressed with the quality. Thin flimsy card and see through envelopes. My husband would have seen what it said through the envelope quite clearly, so I had no choice but to stick an a4 piece of paper over it so as not to ruin the surprise! Also arrived slightly damaged on the corner.
Sadly I don’t think I’ll return for another

Brilliant company to deal with

I bought a calendar off the girls as a present. Unfortunately I put in shipping for UK instead of Ireland. They waived the extra fee and made sure I got my calendar in time. So pleasant to deal with and I will 100% use this company again for any purchases I may need. Highly recommended and some of the calendars are hilarious. Been recommended to friends and family.

Very happy customer!

Great items 5*

Ordered 3 secret Santa presents from here both great quality as usual and the recipient's loved them. It did take 10 days to come but that was a Royal Mail issue not banter cards. Great customer service as they responded quickly and helped with the Royal Mail mess up. Will be buying again!

Useless customer service - never again

Ordered on 18th November, chased on the 5th December and was told I should have received it by now. Was then told they would chase it with Royal Mail, didn’t hear anything for a week so chased again and no reply. Had to get a refund through PayPal. Plenty of other companies offer similar so won’t be using these jokers again. BTW if Toni tells you they are looking into it - good luck!!!!
