Barcelona City Tour(Red and Green buses). Worst Services , They ( staff) don’t respect customers. They has attitude and hates tourists to visit and tour the Barcelona City.

An over priced waste of time. Not enough buses, the equipment often didn't work, the actual commentary was realy superficial & inane. As well, the inside stunk of diesel fumes & the driver kept brak... See more

Simply the best way to focus on all the Barcelona Highlights.

You really cannot go to Barcelona and not use this helpful, quick & very user friendly service (with great staff ). It goes everywhere of importance - all the 'Not to Miss Sights' It quickly enabled to us to work where everything was geographically and allowed us, at our ease, to 'hop off & back on' wherever we wanted over the 2 days on either loop.
We bought on line and joined at the Sagrada Familia, after our visit, all very simple with maps, earphones & vouchers.
We went round both circuits and especially used it in the thunder storms & torrential rain - which made best use of our time..Brilliant!

Not a bad tour BUT!!!

Did both green and orange routes. One in morning and other after lunch. Didn't avail of hop-on, hop-off facility.

Enjoyment spoiled by bad/poor audio connections on both buses. Some sockets didn't work at all. Some did deliver sound to both earpieces. Some to one ear only.

Four in our party. Moved around to get some or best audio. At one point was sharing one earpiece set with granddaughter. Eventually gave up and just rode around looking at things using the map provided for info.

Tour guide abrasive, rude and impatient

My first time in Barcelona - so maybe a little brave thinking I could get across the city within my allotted time for this tour. I arrived armed with the e voucher which the website informs me is valid. I arrive literally on the departure time of the tour along with 2 other tourists. A rude intolerant male is head of this tour with no patience whatsoever. I am directed to the tourist office whereby I am informed that I can not use the e voucher as stated. I must say at this point he lady within the office could not do enough to get around the problems and I am duly sent off with my audio device to join the tour. However the guide had decided not to stick to the itinerary and the group was not to be found. So I can not give a rating for the actual tour as it did not take place. The staff within the office I will give 10/10 and the reason it is a 2 star review and not a 1 The tour guide - I would not give my money for that incompetence when dealing with people.

The Gaudi tour is a must when in Barcelona.

We thoroughly enjoyed the Gaudi tour and were taken back by the creativity, talent and dedication to create these buildings. They are NOT just buildings. Casa Batllo is like no other house I've seen and being able to go in was awesome. Sagrada Familia, again, is like not other "church" in the world. I've seen it on TV and magazines but nothing could match being there. Our tour guide gave us information as if he had lived it himself. He was so knowledgeable and easy to listen to. He seemed to really love what he was doing and was a very nice man. I recommend this tour to anyone interested in Barcelona and Gaudi history. Thank you!

Don't book in advance - you could waste your money!

I wish I hadn't pre-booked on line for two days. Was a waste of money. Only had a limited time in Barcelona and thought that the City Tour bus was an ideal way to see as much as possible. But on the Saturday morning the queue for the bus stretched as far as the eye could see. Didn't want to waste time, so used the Metro instead.
My advice - Don't book in advance, take a chance and see what the situation is when you get there; if it's busy, get around on the Metro.

Great introduction

This was a great introduction to the city and a good way to get a feel of where things were. The staff were friendly and helpful. We did the eastern loop and the only criticism was that one or two intermediate stops would have been helpful.

Make the most of Barcelona with the Barcelona City Tours!

I would heartily recommend the Barcelona city tours. We were 4 adults who ordered this tour from home and it worked very well. We took the East tour one day and western tour the next day. We ordered 3 x tickets for seniors and thought we were good. You see a lot of Barcelona and can decide for what you want to explore a little more during your time in Barcelona.

Always a great tour

I've taken several tours with Barcelona City Tours and loved each one. All of the guides and drivers were very friendly and knowledgeable. I have recommended them to many people and would not hesitate to use them again when I return to Barcelona.

This tour was great but we paid way too much for it!

We made the mistake of buying tickets before we left home. This was on the Barcelona City Tours website. We paid 59 euros per person, which is about $80.00 per person American! They have you pick a time, which we picked 10:00am., and that wasn't even necessary. We rushed to get there by taxi and you can get on any bus at any time, at any stop. The best advice is to just show up at the city block where all buses originate and come back to. They charge 20 euros per person when you just hop on the bus! The tour itself was very thorough. We only had one day in Barcelona and we felt like we saw the entire city on the Barcelona City Tours bus.

Best way to be introduced to Barcelona.

Being in a small group and vehicle made it more personal and interesting to see the highlights of Barcelona. You can then return to the areas that you found more to your liking and explore in depth. Being able to skip the line at the Goudy Cathedral made it worth the entire cost of the tour. People were in line for hours.

From Gaudi´s architecture to Zafón´s mysterious city

Finally I got the opportunity to get behind Las Ramblas after a few short visits to Barcelona. The City Tour took me to places I had longed to see and experience for a long time. Then I read Carlos Ruiz Zafón and found out I had been to some of the places described in his books. Now I must go back, spend more time in Barcelona, and discover more places. This time I am going to by a ticket on the Hop On Hop Off bus that lasts more than one day and get behind the scenes. I also want to see the interior of Gaudi´s buildings and look forward very much to come back!
