Ordered these online thinking I was…
Ordered these online thinking I was paying £49.99. When I clicked on pay through PayPal it came up £71.80. Tried to cancel straight away but wouldn’t let me saying I can return once I’d received them. Reading your reviews looks unlikely I’ll get a full refund.
5 Star
These are shipped from the US, so will always take a while to arrive. Mine came inside 14 days and I was happy with that. Same with shipping, of course it's going to cost extra.
As to the product, for £72 all in these ear buds are superior to more expensive ones I've had in the past. Great sound quality, noise cancellation and battery life.
Good product; great price
I received these after 14 days
I received these after 14 days. I tried them out and found them to be an inferior product. I use them to talk on the phone mostly. The first three people I talked to said they sounded scratchy and asked if I was in a small room as they sounded very echoey. Now the problem. I called and asked for a refund. They offered 20% then 30%. Finally they said they would give me a refund but I had to send an email. I did what was requested and they came back with a 50% refund offer because they had been opened. How do you try them out without opening them? I found them to be an inferior product with very poor customer service. Do not buy this product.
Great product, terrible marketing
This is a great product with a terribly aggressive marketing that makes the whole thing look dodgy.
I got my earbuds quickly and the customer support was very efficient. I have them for only a week, but so far everything feels great: sound quality, bass, noise reduction, battery life. Plus, they never fall from my ears. Regarding returning the product, this was offered to me but I decided to keep them. By the way, no company should accept an open box of earbuds, for hygienic reasons.
Poor customer service and no returns unless you haven’t opened the box
Poor customer service, they were slow to deliver and when they finally arrived and I tried them out, I found them overly sensitive to touch so were stopping and starting every time I touched anything near them (my hair!). I tried them for no more than 5 minutes and decided they were not going to work for me. I’ve asked for a refund and have been offered a 20% refund as ‘they’re not in the original condition’ - I opened the box and tried them? So don’t risk it! Mine will go as a charity donation rather than accept 20% - so don’t get sucked in, go for a recognised brand.
I too felt suckered into buying a pair
I too felt suckered into buying a pair. When I tried to cancel the order (within one hour of placing it), I was told it was too late - even though the order was not dispatched for a further two days. £20 postage and packing is outrageous for the thin plastic bag the buds were sent in. This was refunded when I complained. As for the buds, they’re perfectly adequate. I enjoy listening to organ music and they reproduce the lower notes reasonably comfortably.
Ripped off
The headline price does not include shipping and VAT.
You only find out what they are at the final checkout. When I saw that this added £20 I decided not to proceed. I did not press the big green confirm button but it made no difference. The Beatbuds were delivered and I was charged despite cancelling my credit card. They take the money as soon as you fill in the form. I at least have them and they do work, but I have been succoured in the buying them. The reviews are most probably written by them. AVOID at all costs, you have been warned.
GREAT BUDS
I have tried about 5 different as am an avid walker. Expensive buds from £200 to £30 ones. The expensive ones were good but not a good fit. Lost 2 expensive ones and went on to try cheaper ones with on ear buds but was not satisfied with sound and features. Then I saw Beat buds and went for them. What an amazing buds. They fit snugly and sound is even better than the most expensive. They have all features you need. What wonderful buds and cost is not too much.
