This is a contract that you dont want to be apart of. The contract is one sided. I have started legal proceedings and ultimately hope to turn it into a class action suit. According to their contract you have a right to terminate your contract by closing your account, but they can continue collecting money and hold the money based on a bogus investigation. Here are the exact words from their terms of use. "Termination does not relieve you of your obligations as defined in this Agreement, and BeatStars and Processing Facilitator may elect to continue to hold any funds deemed necessary, pending resolution of any other terms or obligations defined in this Agreement, including, but not limited to, chargebacks, fees, refunds, or other investigations or proceedings." Be very careful giving these people your music. As of right now they are holding funds for a bogus reason even though I want out of the contract. They have no customer service number. The email customer service will cease responding because they believe that they can get away with holding your money indefinitely. I don't believe I can post the information here but I am bringing suit and will ask for class action status. If you have ever had your money held by this company be sure to tell your story here. Sony will be sued as well to be sure we can actually get paid. There is no way a judge will let this one sided contract ride. Once someone terminates a contract it should be over and all funds should be released. These people are very unprofessional. Per many of these comments they can get their feelings hurt because you are upset and if you respond with anger they can retaliate and keep your money for a long time. No professional business would be run in this way. Especially being that they deal with musicians who are known to have emotional issues. I just want my money out and to be able to move on.

Very disappointed in the customer service. If I were to rate it, i’ll have to give it a negative rating. First time using BeatStars, it was a great experience for one or two weeks… But there was definitely a downfall and other places like Soundee, Soundclick, ect, caught my attention when everything started to go bad. You guys put it to where I can’t post or do anything on here anymore, that’s heartbreaking. Can’t make BeatStars my lifestyle no more… I should’ve listened to other creators when they said BeatStars is falling off. I never knew anything about you guys in the past but even OG producers that used BeatStars said, you’re services are never good. I watched a video on YouTube of y’all talking about bettering the community and pay attention to us more, that was complete BS. I know and a couple others know that you guys don’t care about the community at all.. Just yourselves. What was the point of trying to build a community if you’re not gonna even take care of the community? What good is it if you can’t help the ones struggling, and the ones trying to make a living off this? We are all going to be gone in no time, if you guys don’t care for us….. If anyone is reading this, I don’t recommend anyone to use BeatStars. Trash customer service when something bad goes wrong. Very unreliable. Never replies back.

They are literally scrambling to find someone to give my royalties to. Its the weirdest thing to make the claim that I don't have the rights to use beats because they cant trace the purchase. I hold my songs for 5 years before releasing them. Soundcloud is the proof that its all mine. But instead of paying me they are searching for some imaginary producer that Ive supposedly wronged. I am the producer!!! Apparently something they dont understand. Customer service is rude and non existent. Not for you but against you. Do not Sign

This place has the worst merchandise I’ve ever seen in my life! Took a month to come and looks like a 7 year old kid made the shirts and sneakers even worse. Do yourself a favor and shop somewhere else. I can’t even sell the stuff I paid $220.00 for to someone for $20 bucks that’s how bad it is. Looks nice on the site but straight trash. Please stay away from ordering anything from here!

Come on Beatstar!! Today there was music but no tiles so of course I "failed to tap!" I ain't perfect but I got no chance if there's no tiles to tap! I really don't want to uninstall your app so plz, plz, fix the glitches! I'd buy loads of gems if I wasn't wasting them on glitches and also worried about loosing them to an update!
It's addictive, very addictive, but I also don't want my ph cracked cos I punched it over the tiles! 🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞

Professional attitude and problem solving at its finest. Never been disappointed!

I have been a BeatStars user for years, uploading and basic functioning on it is great. Where the problem comes is the publishing side, if you want to start distributing your beats to collect royalties and stuff -
Don't do it, it sucks!
Half of my beats didn't go thru just because. (Reasons like "Titles must be accurate and formatted correctly" or "Please make sure that the album title and track title match as this is considered a single") while having everything all right.
Releases also glitching/being taken down by themselves and the list goes on and on...
Long time spent on the support emails discussing and resolving details which is extremely user unfriendly.
This is not a hate but a constructive criticism. (I know about the collab with Soundrop and am excited for a change)

Been using it for years and had nothing but positive experiences.

A Lot of Rappers look for beats inside the web page to buy which is a big plus.
Good customizable web page for Your shop. ( lacks the option to add custom scripting features which are kinda let down ).
A lot of tutorials and tips on how to improve Your sales and performance and music production.

Highly active on social media platforms giving inspirational stories, tips, and shootouts.

A lot of opportunities to get big prizes by producing for artists.

Fast automatic payment system, money goes into Your PayPal like 5 seconds after the sale.

The good and helpful support team, responds decently and quickly.

I suggest Beatstars over other platforms like this, mainly because monthly page visits are miles a head of others and that means more chances to sell Your craft.

bad website. payment system not fixed for months and they ask you to renew your subscription even you have 3 weeks left. Scam!.

Waste of money and time

Tried their distribution service but it has been in "processing" for 2 weeks now and they don't even reply to my emails I sent them.

For the most part, I like the platform.

You can't delete old coupons or players. I've never been on a platform that does not allow me to remove old elements. Good business but super cluttery and becomes very clunky. The new browser beatstars studio is bulky, clunky, and feels like a step back to early 2000's website design. With every great feature added; there are several practical features missings that more dedicated ecom platforms include.

Customer support is iffy. Depends who responds on the quality of the service.

Very simple promo system and very good feedback. Soon I will reach 1 million plays and all thanks to the promo

I have been using BeatStars for the last couple of years and recently got back to constant posting. I have had more sales than before and also had the opportunity to connect with new artists. BeatStars is now my main platform for networking, sales, and promotion.I also collect my publishing through BeatStars Publishing and promote my new releases with the BeatStars Studio App. I totally recommend using BeatStars if you are aspiring to make a living out of music.

I've been using the Beatstars platform to build my business selling beats online since 2018. They make it incredibly easy for a music producer to go from ground zero to having a fully fleshed out and functional e-commerce website where they can sell their instrumentals. They also have super responsive customer support reps if I ever have any questions. Can't recommend Beatstars enough. - @luke4pres

Beatstars has helped me as a producer because the platform not only allows you to sell beats but they provide you the necessary tools and education to succeed as a producer on and off the platform. The beatstars community has taken the time to put out info and tutorials to help people like me who had no idea how to start. If you want to be a better producer and start an online business selling beats but have no direction at all, beatstars would be the first place to start.
