Pestcos: Bed Bugs Gone Reviews 

The company came out on the 7th of January for a heat and chemical treatment. Advised by sales team that the work was guaranteed, in the morning the technician called in sick and I had to wait until 4pm fir a visit. the heat treatment was supposed to have been done but there is no evidence of this, no staple marks on doorframe and the technician called to say he had completed the treatment but recommended a spray of the home within two weeks even though the treatmentshould kill everything!. It is now a week later and the bugs are worse than before and biting me all night long! The office have told me that they need pictures if live activity which I sent and then they said the bugs are not bed bugs and they will send me traps. When I disputed this they said they will send to their expert fir verification! Paid over £1100 for this poor treatment and no mention of the guarantee. Will update on outcome and if they come and actually perform the heat treatment properly or fob off as they appear to have done to others! Not recommended!

Booked the appointment for the bed bugs chemical treatment of 2 rooms. The guy we booked has arrived couple of hours earlier (when no one was home). Called the office. Asked him to arrive on agreed time - he did. Spent around 20mins spraying the rooms, no inspection, no identification of cold spots - seemed like he knew what he was doing. Instructed me to keep rooms unused for 4 hours, kept it empty for couple of days just to make sure it’s enough time to get rid of bed bugs. The first 5 minutes we attempted sleep in the room afterwards - a bite and 3 large sized bed bugs found on the bed. Called the company for second appointment - the fella from the company told me: ‘someone needs to be living in the room to attract bedbugs’ (how could anyone possibly live in this room) next available appointment would be 4 weeks. Unless I wanted to book a super expensive heat treatment… not ideal after already paying £300.

Getting a private contractor for another treatment. Super disappointed I haven’t checked their Trustpilot page before. Filling a chargeback claim to get my money back!

In my panic about seemingly having bedbugs, I used Pestcos. £1200 later and I still with the problem, I found a local professional, a one man band, phew, who is accredited with the British Pest Control Association. I now know how an operative should go about dealing with bedbugs, he charged £350.
When I engaged the local professional, he told me it is contrary to BPCA rules to use chemicals unless there has been a positive identification of bedbugs. Pestcos didn’t inspect. I had 2 or 3 rushed conversations with different Pestco’s employees, each time they were on the road. I described the situation and bites. I hadn’t ever actually laid eyes on a bug, and the first bloke said ‘sounds like bedbugs’. We agreed the whole house heat treatment… they said they use chemicals rather than heat in the kitchen and bathroom, I didn’t want chemicals (this stuff is TOXIC) so we’d agreed they’d use diatomaceous earth instead, but that would invalidate my guarantee. They/I was confident in the heat treatment.
It was a big hassle preparing the house; the operative was 2 hours late. He left 3 small tar stains on the landing carpet. 5 days later … more bites…. I called Pestcos, this time I got through to Kelly in the office. She told me that there can be ‘cold spots’ in rooms and that’s why they use chemicals as back-up (this was the first I’d heard of cold spots). She assumed the operative had used diatomaceous earth in the possible cold spots in the bedrooms…… he hadn’t!! I told her about the tar stains and sent a photo… no compensation offered.
So she sent out another operative and feeling desperate I agreed 😢 to chemicals in the bedrooms.
He said he’d leave traps all corners of the 2 beds and the couch… He was about 10 mins in the house… and left 4 traps in all… I had to call and ask for more traps… twice!
More bites….
I emailed my complaint to the company about all of this… and the response was ‘you invalidated your guarantee.’

Hired this company to get rid of bed bugs, paid over £1000 for heat treatment that inwas told is guaranteed to work......it didn't as it was under warranty for 3 months they came out every 2 weeks for 3 months for chemical treatment that didn't work in the end I phoned the council and they've done a far better job. I personally wouldn't use again.

waste of money! We hurriedly hired this company without doing any research or review checks. Hope this review will be helpful. Don't use this company. They charged >£300 for nothing. For rodent in the house, they came and left 3 boxes of bait. Did nothing else. I could have done the same with spending £30 from the Wilkinson. We had to do our own survey, sealing the entry point etc. This company is RUBBISH and Bunch of cowboys. No real value for the money.

We did not order anything and you did not deliver anything. So how can we review a non event?

Attended on time,thorough inspection and job done,no further rat problems.

Operative made a very quick visit and put down some rat poison but has not been back since then. Council pest control then attended and dealt with the problem satisfactorily.

Mice were gone appx 3 weeks after 3rd visit. I recommend you go around with the operatives to check what they are doing,

I'm happy to recommend JG Pest Control. We had a problem with moles and they effected an immediate and lasting solution the very next day.
I wouldn't hesitate to use them again, they were very helpful and pleasant to deal with too.

Came out within 24 hours and dealt with my issue . Amazing company fast and reliable service.

The operatives came out twice to deal with rodents in this old house, and correctly identified that the mice had been superseded by a rat. After the second visit, the activity seemed to have disappeared but a rat ran across the kitchen floor. They correctly predicted that the rat would be dying and seeking water. We found it behind the fridge. We haven't received the third and final visit, but everything has been quite now for weeks. Moreover, they gave advice as to how to try to prevent rodents entering, or indeed dealing with them outside.

Would recommend this company they were great! One treatment and the problem was sorted. The staff both over the phone and face to face were professional and helpful. Great service all round.

This company promised 3 visits, a full assessment and plan on how to get rid of a mice problem in my office. Well they came twice and then emailed me to say they had completed the visits, which they hadnt. All they did was lay a few traps. We have no idea where the mice are coming from, and we still have mice - completely useless dont use them
