This company is very hard to get a hold…

This company is very hard to get a hold of. I'm pretty sure they use AI because our conversation went like this.

Me:"Hey Belong I'm out of town until Sunday can I see the place on Monday?"

Belong:"we can show you the place on Monday but we're having a showing this Friday. Let me know if you want to join that group?"

Me:"No like I said earlier we are gone until Sunday and would like to view it on Monday"

Belong:"I see that you're out of town until Monday. Would you like to view it on Friday?"

Me:"Are you listening to me. I'm not in the area on Friday"

Belong:"I see that you would like to see the place on Monday. Would you like me to add you to the group tour on Friday?"

Then we saw the place and loved it. Reached out immediately to sign paperwork. We called the number. Waited on hold for 25 minutes. I reached out by text message and that went like this.

Me: "We love the spot and would like to sign a lease"

Belong:"Great to hear that you would like to move in. I can start the next steps now. Can i give you a quick call now to go over timing and paperwork?"

Me: "yes"

Me: (an hour later):"you can call me now"
Me:(two hours later): "is anyone there"
Me" (three hours later): " Is their anyone who can call me"

Belong finally responded with something generic by text 6 hours later that wasn't even true.

Then I asked what happened they've ignored my questions told me lies about what they've sent.

If they are this bad to get ahold of when just attempting to sign papers I can't imagine they would be any better if I had a plumbing emergency.

I appreciate the procedure that Belong…

I appreciate the procedure that Belong has to determine if your home meets their strict standards for rentability. Kyle, who came to our home to conduct the inspection, was very professional. Nathan, the account executive who has been assigned to us, explains everything in detail and with clarity. he followed up with an email that did the same. Nathan is very professional and courteous. we love our interaction with him and look forward to doing business with him and Belong in the future.

Failure to resolve habitability issue (non-functional sink) after 10 days of non-responsiveness

I have been without a functional sink in my unit for 10 days, despite multiple requests for repair. On May 29, Belong explicitly promised that action would be taken today. No maintenance personnel appeared, and I have received no further communication or updates.

This constitutes a breach of the implied warranty of habitability. My previous attempts to resolve this issue through Belong established communication channels have been ignored.

I will be filing a formal complaint with the City of Emeryville Code Enforcement Division and reaching out to Echo Housing for tenant advocacy and mediation assistance.

I have documented the duration of this issue and the broken promise regarding today's repair, and I am prepared to escalate this through all available local government and legal channels.
