I have received astonishingly high level of personalised service from Ben and am only a small customer among many. He is always cheerful, helps with solutions, remembers what I have had or might need - an absolute 5-star service. Some items are made to order and take a bit longer to come, so it is important to remember this. I once had a problem with delivery (1 out of 6 orders) - which is a different company and is contracted out - he understood and sorted it out at once.

A well priced product for made to order. I only wanted one door, but these guys obliged and saved us from having to change all the kitchen cupboard doors.

Furniture looks great, fairly simple to assemble, and the quality good. Lacquered surface easily chipped or scratched however, so care needed.

I ordered new units to be made up and I am very happy with the results, slightly more expensive than would have liked but very good strong quality, and delivered before the actual date agreed.

This was the second time I have used Benjamin James. The first occasion was for a bespoke storage solution for our daughters playroom. It consisted a custom made 2.4m x 2.4m floor to ceiling wall units. One year later we used Benjamin James for our new kitchen. My wife knew exactly what she wanted, we spent weeks visiting all the big and small kitchen suppliers. We visited Wren, Magnet, Homebase, B&Q, Mobalpa all national companies and probably 10-12 independent suppliers. None of them came close to the Benjamin James price. The units are high quality 18mm chipboard with 18mm backs. All units can be customised and upgraded if you wish to non-standard edging which you cant get at high street suppliers. The doors are same high quality. We had high gloss white and metallic grey doors which where the exact ones we had see in considerably more expensive showrooms. The fittings are the highest quality Blum. All our units were customised sizes to make the most of the space we had to work with. Even the drawer units were custom sizes, Blum drawers with custom glass fronts. Other companies couldn't offer this so we would have had to settle for filler pieces and unbalanced layouts. I have to admit I was unsure whether Ben could actually get the whole thing correct without visiting our property given that every carcass unit and door was a custom size. In the end it was perfect besides the end panels on a midi unit. I spoke with Ben and problem was sorted and new replacement panels were sent out. I have to accept partial responsibility as we changed the sizes numerous times. The custom sizes are ordered to 1mm. I wanted the gap between the doors as small as possible to we had the doors made 2mm larger than standard.

In the end we had a floor to ceiling wall units, a lower level base unit section, a 2.3m x 1.1m island and a 1.8m midi unit, handless rails.

We saved about £2500 over the Wren price but the Wren price was not custom sizes and not Blum glass drawers. If we had gone with the one or two local companies who said they could also provide custom sizes we would have paid nearly double.

The units were all hand delivered by Benjamin James so no need to worry about couriers smashing the edges of the new units and doors.

I don't write many reviews, mainly because its rare that a person or company meets or exceeds my expectations but Benjamin James and Ben did. I have no hesitation in recommending this company and will be using them again on my next project.

I only ordered 1 specialist unit but the customer service was very good. Unfortunately the unit was damaged by the delivery company which was no fault of Benjamin James Kitchens, but they took immediate responsibility and contacted me very quickly to offer a replacement which they did without question. It is always easy to recommend a company when things go well, but more difficult when things don't go so well. My experience is that Benjamin James Kitchen offer fantastic customer service, and I would definitely recommend them. It was also good value for money and good quality.

Having looked around at the usual kitchen stores, I was not impressed with the quality or the price. So I took to searching the internet and stubbled across Benjamin James, they have an ebay shop also so ordered some sample doors the look and quality was perfect, so called them as had a few questions and they where really helpful and honest emailed them my requirements for a quote. Price was great was really surprised as thought going to an independent kitchen company would be out of our price range how wrong I was. They came in far cheaper than the usual stores I am sure you know who I mean. We went ahead and ordered the kitchen having only seen the sample doors but we were confident in the company after talking to them. The kitchen arrived and they kept us well informed of delivery and arrived exactly when said. I found the great thing also was sizes are bespoke to you and not just standard off the shelf, can I just say our old kitchen well I say old but it had only been in 5 years was from a well known company which I won't name but it was shocking doors all de laminated never again will I buy from the high street, I wouldn't hesitate to buy again from Benjamin James high quality honest company my new kitchen is amazing and I am 100% sure it will last for a very long time highly recommend very impressed thanks.

Beautiful white gloss doors which have transformed my new kitchen. I was so impressed I ordered 4 more to update more cupboards.
