Disappointed
I purchased two shabby chic shelves which arrived within a three day period. When I started to put the shelves up I was disappointed that the holes that were already drilled in the shelves weren’t level. On contacting customer services I was told that the rods had a 5mm adjustment which should compensate.
This was not the case and I had to drill new holes in the shelves.
The wood itself is good quality but for the price they cost I would have expected that the holes would be identical and level.

Our floating shelf fixings are built with an offset CAM, this means that you can adjust the fixing rods by twisting it once the shelf is attached. This creates an interference fit. There is a 5mm tolerance per hole - however in saying this if this has not worked for you - we would never expect anyone to have to re drill the fixing holes in the shelves.

Items not delivered when promised
I ordered a pair of shelves prior to the cut off December delivery date, which was stated on their website. Received an email 7 days ago (16 December) to say my order was being processed and would be with me within the next 2-4 working days. Nothing was received by Thursday, not even a dispatch email. I called their office to find out what was happening and received a voicemail message saying “we are now closed until 3rd January 2024”. Really helpful, thank you. I’m not sure if my shelves have been lost in transit or if they haven’t been dispatched yet. £112 for two shelves is quite a lot of money, I would have expected better customer service than what I have experienced.

Horrified to find industrial brackets were not sealed i.e rusting on the surface ruining my new paint work for what they charged for a simple shelf and statement industrial brackets totally unacceptable.

I am so sorry to hear that you were not 100% happy with your shelf - we do have a return policy where you could return it - with no questions asked and no hard feelings either.
Our rustic metal brackets are handcrafted locally in West Sussex. They are made from raw steel, we coat them with WD-40 to reduce surface rust. These brackets will vary slightly in colour and texture due to the handmade nature of the product, this does not affect the quality or strength of the product and we feel it adds to the character of the product.
Unfortunately we would not be able to paint the brackets black for you due to the amount of sawdust in the air in our workshop but if you sourced metal paint you would be able to if you would like to.
I’m really sorry for any inconvenience this has caused. If there’s anything I can do to help or make things right for you, please don’t hesitate to let me know.

Disappointed in quality
Really pleased with garden table when first put together but after ONLY one weekend the wood is splitting and has deep cracks in it . Customer service do not view wood cracking and splitting after only two days use as a problem . I was intending to purchase benches but have now changed my mind

Regarding the splits in the table, wood is a natural material and naturally expands and contracts with changes in weather. This characteristic is common in all solid wooden products of this size. Rest assured, the structural integrity of our furniture remains unaffected, and any splits that occur will naturally shrink as the weather cools down.
To address any potential sharp or splintered edges that may arise in extreme temperatures, we offer furniture care packs. These packs allow you to easily sand down any rough surfaces and ensure the furniture maintains its pristine condition.

All of our shelves are manufactured from environmentally sustainable, Scandinavian joinery pine. We hand pick every length of timber, to preserve as many rustic characteristics as possible.
The timber is kiln dried to a moisture content found in the average family home (12%-15%), minimising any movement in the shelf.
