Deceptive delivery practice/Bad Communication

I odered a Babboe cargo bike from Beosport.de particularly because they were offering excellent delivery terms, 3-6 business days when most other stores were 4-5 weeks. This was great as we desperatly needed the cargo bike to transport my daughter to kindergarten.

I waited 8-busines days before contacting them, up until then I received nothing from them other than the automated order confirmation when buying the bike. I asked if I should be expecting the bike soon only to be told it hadn't been shipped as there there was a problem from the manufactures side. But I didn't order from the manufacturer, I ordered from Beosport, so why this is relevant to me, I don't know? I could have, and should have, ordered direct, from Babboe but the delivery terms with Beosport were "better". It seems to me that Beosport are simply 'drop shipping' these products and don't hold stock. I believe that this is their shady model. Advertise better delivery terms than the competiton, take your money then string you along until you've basically waited so long that it makes no sense to cancel your order as you'll end up waiting even longer to get what you want.

I eventually was given a delivery time that was two weeks later than it should have been and was even given a tracking ID, only to be told Oooops, we sent the wrong tracking; a new tracking ID never came.

It has now been one month and I have still not received the bike. I have received multiple mails promising the bikes delivery. Saying it's with the courier , someone will be in touch, I have heard nothing. I have been trying to get a straight answer from them, which never comes. I have to follow-up every email I sent as they are not forthcoming in answering for the most part. Their indifference to a customer handing over €4k+ expecting a delivery to be made as advertised is shocking, simply getting the feeling of 'it's not our problem' and 'it'll be there when it's there' is ridiculous.

The best thing is that they are still advertising 3-5 business day shipping on the product on thier website, knowing full well they cannot fulfill that. It infuriates me that companies like Beosport can practice this and see no repercusions I work in a industry where deadlines being breached are met with sanctions and fines, but it seems you can say whatever you want on a website to intice a buyer, fail to deliver as advertised and simply shurg your shoulders and pass blame elsewhere.

If it wasn't for the fact that we are so long down the road and cancelling and ordering from someone esle would take at least another month I would have cancelled already, but one thing is for sure I will not be ordering anything from Beosport again and will be actively telling others to stay away too both in person and any forum that I can find.
