Unsolicited offer to remove a negative Google review for CHF 399
I run a small café in Basel, Switzerland. Recently, we received a one-star Google review containing serious complaints about our food quality and customer service. However, we have no record of any customer complaint matching the incident described.
Just two days later, without ever contacting this company, we received an unsolicited email from Bewertungsanwalt.ch referring specifically to that negative review and offering to have it removed for CHF 399.
The timing raised some concerns, especially after discovering that other business owners have reported similar experiences.
I cannot claim that there is any connection between the negative review and this company, nor can I judge whether their removal service is effective.
However, I find this approach to acquiring customers rather unsettling, particularly for small businesses that invest significant time, effort, and passion into building their reputation.
I'm sharing my experience so that other business owners can make informed decisions when receiving similar unsolicited offers.
