This is an outstanding tour. João, the guide, goes above and beyond to deliver a coastal Arrabida Park experience that is loaded with activities (kayaking, caving, climbing, cliff jumping, snorkeling) and delicious food + drink. His enthusiasm for his job and his determination for participants to have a memorable day was so appreciated.

This tour was honestly phenomenal. We’re a group of 6 (12 yr old, 14 yr old, two 22 yr olds and two 50 yr olds). Every single one of us believe this was the highlight of our 2 week trip. Joao is the best tour guide we’ve ever had- he is kind, helpful, and makes you feel at home. We wish him nothing but the best with Beyond Adventures, this is someone who is extremely passionate about what they do and you can feel the energy the whole time. He is super knowledgable about Portugal and its history/culture, and you will learn so much. You’ll also hear a lot of dad jokes!

Theres a good amount of kayaking involved, not TOO too much but we definitely were feeling sore the next day! Expect to go swimming into hidden caves, rock climbing inside of caves, discovering old fossils, snorkeling, jumping off cliffs (its optional but it is soo much fun), and just making amazing memories.

You will never go hungry on this tour. In the morning we went to Joao’s house first to change into our water gear, and we had fresh bread, pastries, and homemade orange juice. During our kayaking adventure, we stopped for a snack (crackers, cheese, jam, and water/wine) which Joao had packed for us and we ate in a hidden cave. Once the water fun was over, we had an AMAZING lunch on the beach. He literally thought of everything, there was soups, salad, sandwiches, fruits, wine, etc. Then we went for a scenic drive back to his house, where we had even more snacks and homemade Port wine.

Genuinely such a high quality tour, you could easily pay triple the price and it would still be a bang for your buck. Please book this, you will not regret it. Its a once in a lifetime tour and I could not recommend this enough.

Fantastic day! Kayaking and caving alongside a beautiful beach, with a lunch break, followed by a tour of the mountains and countryside. The water was very choppy for us but apparently it's usually very calm. João is full of energy and was very friendly - he welcomed us all into his house to drink wine and meet his dog. Thank you João!

Joāo is nothing short of fantastic, truly, he's top tier at what he does. He brings ALL the enthusiasm, encouragement, history, (dad) jokes, disney punk, and cares deeply about making it a great & memorable experience for everyone. Lunch was absolutely delectable with a huge variety, and well earned after all the activities you have a chance to do. The environment is stunning, awesome to explore, and Joāo is intimately familiar with the coast so you're in safe, caring, hilarious hands. Would absolutely recommend to everyone.

João truly went above and beyond to make this a memorable experience. The sea caves were amazing, the cliff jumping was so much fun, and it was educational too!

A once-in-a-lifetime experience and unbelievable value for money!! The Arrabida Adventure is a must for anyone visiting Lisbon.

I had the most incredible day kayaking, snorkelling, cave-exploring, and dining with João, his friend, and my fellow adventurers. I felt supported to try new things and made some friends along the way :)

It was a good day full of adventures, we did kayaking, explored caves, cliff jumping, and swam around an island and loved it all! :)

Great trip! Everything was well organized and thought off. I mean all the small details, even a fork, spoon and knife at our beach lunch were a nice lego type of a complect.

Cliff jumps, boat ride, exploring the ocean, lunch, chilling at Joao's house before and after the main part. I mean, it was a perfect day.

If thats not enough for you then Joao himself is a great find. Great person, with tsunami of energy, passioned about his work, with great sense of humor or should i say a person who enjoys life. He kind of poisoning you with that too.

Highly recommended adventure. 11 out of 10.

We took a tour with Joao and it was truly amazing! So much fun, lots a good food, such a good time! We kayaked, saw some nice caves and then we got to cliff jump and climb up some rocks, which was amazing!

Absolute recommendation!
João knows a lot about the area and can show and explain a lot of interesting things! In addition, the tour is perfectly prepared, the equipment is great and you get plenty of good food and drink! João also has a Go-Pro with him and takes great pictures and videos, which he makes available afterwards.
In summary, a perfect day in the national park with lots of fun, lots of information and beautiful places!

I can’t even express how amazing of a tour guide Joãn is, we had the best day of our lives.
He starts by collecting you, brining you to get all the equipment (while you have some tea and coffee or course). We then went to Arrábida where we kayaked to caves, explored them, had a few snacks (and wine of course), went snorkelling and had great laughs.
We finished the day out with an amazing picnic on the beach, followed by a lunch in the beyond adventures head quarters. Finished by being dropped right back to Lisbon zoo where it starts.
He is such a knowledgeable, funny (expect loads of dad jokes), kind and just lovely person overall.
Amazing price, amazing day, amazing experience and amazing tour guide! Would absolutely recommend to anyone!

I got to experience so many new things during this BeyondAdventure experience with the best friend I booked it with, our amazing guide João and the lovely family we went along with for the day. To start off, I want to let you know that I’ve struggled with anxiety around swimming and water for most of my life, and not once during this day did I feel unsafe with João, his energy and encouragement is incredible and he is so supportive in your personal experience through the adventure!

The group began (after João drives us to his lovely home for a change into all the gear we needed and a small breakfast!) with kayaking to our first cave, where we swam from our kayaks to the rocks of the cliff where the cave was, started climbing them up and went exploring inside! We explored another hidden cave after that, and then kayaked some more to a different cave where we first had a delicious snack, then explored inside that cave to see an amazing historical secret it held (I don’t want to spoil it!), and then went cliff jumping back into the ocean!! Afterwards, we kayaked to the island nearby the beach we started from, floated through the gap in the island that you can’t see from the beach, then went snorkeling next to it after walking through a hallway full of fossils to the other side. The fish I saw there were incredible, and there was SO much life around us, I saw creatures I never expected to experience in the wild such as a starfish! I wish I could name all of the different types of fish I saw :) after snorkeling we all headed back to the beach for a dinner João prepared and set up for us, then headed into his car to see a beautiful viewpoint nearby and back to his home to change, relax, and drink some lovely homemade port (can we figure out a way you can send some to me please João???)

I want to emphasize that just a few months ago, if I had told myself I would be doing this, I would have never believed you and probably would have had a nervous breakdown lol!! This experience let me push myself so much, and get over so many fears I had, and it was so, so worth it. If you crave adventure but are unsure about your capabilities and confidence, I would so recommend a booking with BeyondAdventures for you. I discovered so much about myself that day and I truly feel like I came back a different person - more confident, more daring, and more curious than before!! After cliff jumping from the first point (and my first time ever) I immediately wanted to do the second, higher point, and then did it again afterwards, So I definitely found out I have a hidden daredevil inside myself through this experience haha!! My friend and I went back to our hostel that night and told literally everyone we knew the next few days how incredible the experience was, I really want to bring more friends back to Lisbon just so I can bring them on this as well and experience it again :-)

I really can’t recommend Beyondadventure PT experience enough and this experience was truly one of the highlights of my Lisbon trip, and one of the best days of my life for all the self discovery I did surrounded by such natural beauty and kind hearted supportive people alongside me!

It was a very cool day with a lot of fun, action, food and one of the best guides I every met.

This was the greatest day ever! John (sorry not sure of the Portuguese spelling) was amazing and thought of everything to make it perfect! The history, the wine :) food, sights and experiences where more than I could have hoped for. The full day adventure is not too much, he is able to adjust to any ability level and you see and do so many awesome things. I hope everyone try’s this, you could not ask for a more experienced or fun person to share adventure and the history of Portugal with! Thank you for the highlight of me trip! Hugs and happy 2022!

We had a very exciting and beautiful time with João. The kayaking, sea caves, cliff jumping and the Charisma of João made the day unforgettable. João motivated us and always spread a good mood. You can feel how much he cares about his work.
