I’ve just started using bid spotter and haven’t had a problem but I have only purchased from supreme auctions who go above and beyond to help, my items has been as described, ok there. Has been a couple of items that’s been a bit disappointing but for what. I paid I’m willing to take the rough with the smooth

Delivery fee is ridiculously expensive and they don't tell you until it’s too late. Also the items mostly come in damaged or used and they tell you there's nothing you can do about it. They only post the original pictures for illustration so you don’t know the condition of what you’re buying and they don’t even put it in the description which is clearly misleading. I got a headset for 20£, clearly broken in pieces with no ear muffs. You couldn’t even give that out for free. Avoid them at all cost

EDWARDS & GERALD AUCTIONEERS

SCAM! PLEASE BE AWARE!
Bought a car from ‘Edwards & Gerald Auctioneers’ after confirming with Bid Spotter that this company has had no complaints however i was lied to. The car was listed as ‘runs & drives’ and no issues were stated on the description, i also contacted Edwards & Gerald Auctioneers several times before the auction asking if the vehicle had any known issues or warnings light, i was told it was an ‘excellent clean car’. I spent over £10k on the car and when it got delivered i noticed issues instantly and when i had a mechanic check the vehicle i was told it needs a new turbo which will cost over £1500 including labor as well as several issues with the engine, now im stuck with a broken vehicle and £10,000 in debt as it was a bank loan. Please save yourself the time, money and headache. Avoid these scammers, if you are desperate then view the vehicles in person along with a mechanic.

Disappointed that a company they allow…

Disappointed that a company they allow to list on their website can screw people over and bidspotter do nothing to provide any help or support.

I contacted customer services 3 times and still nothing. The auction was Supreme auctions listed through bid spotter.

The situation was…

Bought an item. Description was incorrect I contacted them immediately and was told it’s my fault because I didn’t view the item at auction. But it was an online auction made accessible for those who could not visit, it is their error in the description but they have refused a refund, refused any support and blocked me.

I hope trading standards wipe the floor with them I have lost £280 :( the item was a present for my partner who has just gone self employed, after leaving the military, the item was to help excel his work and bring in more income. We have a baby due next month and cannot afford the loss financially.

Bidspotter has become a platform for…

Bidspotter has become a platform for scammers selling. They don't care as long as they get paid. It's like an eBay where they deliberately allows scammers to list items so they can get a commission. No guidelines or ethics for listing for sellers. Think maybe run by same people at supreme auctions.

Unexpected authorisation

I loged onto the site and it told me I was OK to bid. I placed a bid with 15 seconds to go and the site then required approval from the bank. Even though this was quick it was not expected and resulted in my bid not being in time for the auction. I am very upset!

Scammers paradise site.

Scammers paradise site.
They have Scammer Auctioneers on their site. You will pay for items you win but will not get it. When you complaint to Bidspotter, they say it has nothing to do with them and to take it up with the auctioneer.
This is an auction scammers site.
You will lose your money and cannot get it back because they insist on payment by bank transfer.

These guys are scammers

These guys are scammers. They kept contacting me that I had won an item on their website. I did a quick research only to discover I haven’t registered with them. How they got my info remains a mystery to me.
