Failing website booking system

The payment I made did not go through; after the confirmation email I had another email saying there had been a problem; after I phoned up and listened to a lot of music, I was told either to re-book (which I tried and couldn't do, the system wouldn’t do that) or to amend the payment details – but the system wouldn’t do that either. We were given 24 hours to sort it, which involved several phone calls, and a lot of music. The p[problem I was told was that my name varied – only slightly – from the name on the card I used to book. The whole system was poor, and having thought we would simply book as the website said we had 36 hours of trying different things, with a lot of stress and wasted time. In the end my last phone call was to pay over the phone. It has been a wearying and frustrating process.

As a marketplace we work alongside various property managers and we would be unable to process any payments, which is why we would have advised to re-attempt the booking online.

Sometimes a booking may decline if the lead booker's name does not match the cardholders details. I understand your frustration and wholeheartedly apologise for the lengthy process.

Said £20 deposit and full balance due…

Said £20 deposit and full balance due in may but when booking went through all went through Skye’s cottages who said a £600 deposit required which was not communicated when I booked. False advertising
