Big Change is incredibly inflexible…
Big Change is incredibly inflexible when it comes to reducing costs or scaling back services. Their approach seems to be add only. They are happy to upsell, but removing services is another story entirely.
Sales are quick and responsive when there is something new to sell you. The moment you ask to reduce or remove anything, decision making grinds to a halt and no one appears to have the authority to help. The only solution offered is to lock yourself into yet another long, expensive three year contract, even when your business is actively trying to cut back.
If you value flexibility or need the option to scale down, this is not the provider for you. They are more than willing to add costs, but taking them away is not happening.

In my experience, the company is not well set up for clients who need to scale down or manage costs. They are very enthusiastic about adding services, but far less cooperative when you try to remove them. The default response to any reduction request tends to be a push for a new long-term contract, rather than a genuine attempt to adjust the existing arrangement.
Sales are responsive and quick when it comes to upselling, but once you ask to take anything out of scope, things slow down and it becomes difficult to get a clear decision. It often feels like no one has the authority to approve a reduction unless it involves signing up for another multi-year commitment.
If your priority is flexibility or cost control, this isn’t likely to be the right fit. They make it easy to increase spend, but very hard to decrease it.

Big change, more like Big disappointment. Happy to take your money and tie you in to long contract terms, but when you're struggling due to a down turn in work they aren't interested in the slightest with working with you. Their response times are shocking, they can't make decisions and are unwilling to help.

BigChange has been a huge… waste of money
BigChange has been a huge disappointment. The software is poorly designed and over-complicated. Simple tasks like sending an invoice require coming out of a job and going back in just to trigger a “blue tick”. This wastes time and is not how a professional system should work.
Support is very poor. Issues are closed without being fixed and labelled as “expected behaviour” instead of being resolved. There is no real help when problems are raised.
We were mis-sold the product. We were told it could handle large files such as site drawings, but the file size limits and data allowance on the PDA are terrible. You quickly run out of data and cannot properly download or view attachments. This makes it not fit for construction or drainage businesses.
For the cost, the system is not worth it. I would not recommend BigChange.
Change of price contract without any notice
We had a contract with Big Change France from 2020 to March 2025, everything went well. And suddenly after their activity was bought by Big Change England recently, our prices fees are multipled by 4 without any notice! We are really angry.

A collegue and I attended a workshop at BC HQ, it was informative and gave us some great ideas to take back and implement. The time we spent with our Customer Success Manager was invaluable.

I wish I had attended one of these workshops before today.
Very informative with a friendly and skilled team in a very relaxed and pretty cool setting.
The small break out sessions were completely focussed on me and my company and I learned a lot about new features and old features.
It certainly added value to and we will be able to drive more efficient with the JobWatch system.

Awful expereience
Not provided what was promised at sale point, been left with a system that is not operating correctly and awful aftersales provision, very pretentious attitude from management. Don't buy from big change, they have created more problems than solutions

Customer Success Workshop
I attended the Customer Success Workshop that took place at BigChange’s Leeds HQ, 5-6 Nov 2024.
Being a relatively new BigChange client, I learned lots about the services that the organisation currently offers, plus those that it has in development and I was glad to meet and spend circa 4 hours discussing Aqualogic (WC) Ltd’s BigChange account with our Customer Success Manager, Leila Nelson. Leila and every other BigChange staff member that I met, were very hospitable in their approach; equally as keen to listen to clients’ perspectives as they were to impart their expert knowledge.

Avoid at all costs
Our experience with BigChange has been terrible. After 3 months of discussions what our business needs were and with the promises that BigChange could do everything we wanted, we signed up. On the first on boarding call it became apparent that the system was lacking for our business needs. We were advised solutions would be put in place and have been through numerous calls, workshops, discussions with 'directors' to discuss how we can move forward to no avail. With continuous promises being broken. Our prices have increased consistently and also been charged twice for the same products. The support has been woeful and the aftercare even worse. Avoid at all costs

Customer Workshop a must do
Came up to Leeds for the Customer Workshop which has been invaluable. Having the one on one time with a Big Change Expert has been incredible along with the event being seemlessly planned with every little detail thought of and attended to.
A special shout out to Chris Brown for being my taxi whilst I am dealing with a sprained foot, Louise for all her hard work putting the event together and Adam Burnett for putting up with my monster worksheet and handling all my questions like a pro. Lots of laughs also had and just an incredible event all round.
