Hopeless Birmingham council

Birmingham council disdain for taxpayers, motorists, residents is appalling. Traffic around city centre tonight is chaos, roads closed for an event that doesn't start until midday tomorrow, no diversion signs, no traffic management, they simply dont care...ko wonder they went bankrupt and couldn't resolve refuse collection issue. Typical of modern Britain, hopeless public services that treat taxpayers with contempt.

I parked on BCC land that stipulated 3 hours free parking for shoppers at 3 stores one being B&M Sutton Coldfield Town centre. I was there one hour 22 minutes and I shopped at B&M. I was given a £100 fine by an agent of BCC Council. I sent proof that i was only on car park one hour 22 minutes and provided evidence of my purchase at B&M but BCC state nothing can be done about cancelling the fine therefore I now have to attend court.

From entering the building and the 3rd…

From entering the building and the 3rd floor(support through court ) there were very helpful, pleasant and understanding. They kept informed about how long I will be waiting and not waiting and guided me through the form filling. They even went their way to put a screen in front of me so that I could see what they were typing and very impressed. Therefore, I would recommend anyone to visit Support through Court (Birmingham)on the 3rd Floor. The volunteers that assisted me were Zahra and Katherine alongside the two volunteers on Triage, Lavina and Dua that helped me who was very anxious and I knew I was at the right place. I travelled all the way from Bournemouth which is 200 miles to get this brilliant service.

Horendous does not cover it

Horendous does not cover it - Council increased by 12%

How is that even possible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You are thieves.

How about don't be racist to your staff so they don't sue you, and when you go bankrupt, you do not PENALISE people that had nothing to do with your greed, racism, and incompetence.

You honestly are the worst people on the planet, bar Trump.

Council refuses to pay credit

Paid my council tax on time every month, to then move house and when I told Birmingham council they cancelled my account but refused to tell me how much credit I had and when this will be paid to me. So they take your money quickly but refuse under to pay back or tell menu credit due to GDPR.
This is theft of money, typical of council ran by corrupt councillors.
Now reported to the police for theft!

I cannot believe that after wasting so much money and then becoming bankrupt they have the cheek to still make the people of Birmingham pay for their inability to manage finances and spending while the top players are getting pay rises which has gone out of control .The bin men have now been on strike for over a year now and still not resolved why do we have to take recycling to the tip absolute rubbish i will be glad when the local election comes round surely by now people should have realised this is not the council for BHAM

Pathetic Penalty Investigations Dpt

Pathetic Penalty Investigations Dpt
I flew to Birmingham 30th December 2025 to collect a car from Novaline Motors and take it back to Belfast on Liverpool Ferry 31st December 2025.
I had never been in Birmingham before
Shortly after I returned home to NIreland I was shocked to receive a Penalty Charge Notice from Birmingham City Council informing me that car I had just purchased was seen driving through a Clean Air Zone.
Coming from NIreland (where there are no such things as Clean Air Zones) I was totally unaware of these zones. I simply entered the postcode of the Travelodge I was staying overnight in Birkenhead and followed the route Googlemaps provided.
I wrote to BCC explaining all the above and asking them to waive the Penalty charge. Took them 6 weeks to reply - informing me 10/03/2026 that they were rejecting my representation.
Absolutely pathetic and disgusted with them.

13 YEARS OF RAICISM

13 YEARS OF RAICISM, CRIME , ANTI-SOCIAL BEHAVIOUR, HARRASMENT AND STILL ONGOING.

To the High Court of Justice and to Members of the United Kingdom Parliament
I submit this statement formally and without hesitation.
I assert that I possess substantial and compelling evidence demonstrating that Birmingham City Council and West Midlands Police have supported and enabled racism, crime, anti-social behaviour, and sustained harassment against me and my family. This has not been a matter of simple negligence. It has been systematic, deliberate, and deeply harmful.
I further state that County Court proceedings involving me, as well as the conduct of my previous solicitor, were influenced by Birmingham City Council and the police. Instead of receiving protection under the law, I have faced coordinated actions that have destabilised my family life, damaged my physical and mental health, and violated my fundamental human dignity.
I have lost trust in the fairness and independence of the processes I have experienced. I do not consent to private or undisclosed communications between legal representatives and the court. I insist on transparency and on my right to represent myself openly before an impartial panel of judges.
I respectfully request that the High Court open a case concerning the conduct of Birmingham City Council and West Midlands Police and provide me with the appropriate claim process so that these matters may be examined independently and lawfully.
I also state that I believe I have been subjected to unlawful monitoring of my communications and personal activities. I believe my private information has been shared between these departments over several years in a manner that is excessive, unjustified, and harmful. This has contributed significantly to the distress and damage suffered by me and my family.
I attend any court proceedings asserting my right to full mental clarity, dignity, and freedom from intimidation or interference. I demand a fair and impartial hearing, free from coercion, pressure, or any unlawful influence.
I request that this matter be examined independently in the interests of justice, accountability, and the protection of fundamental rights under the law of the United Kingdom.

A national disgrace

Under the current council the outskirts of Birmingham are now on a par with the worst Brazillian favella. Bravo, from 2nd city to 3rd world garbage tip and bankruptcy.

Having never driven to Birmingham…

Having never driven to Birmingham before in my life I was unaware that I needed to Clean air Zone charges (£9 per day). I drove to Birmingham centre and parked my car in a multistorey to catch a train to Edinburgh came back drove home. I paid a £60 fine for the way in and appealed against the second for the way out (on the grounds that it was the same journey). Birmingham City Council kindly turned this into a £120 fine. From what should have been an £18 charge it turned into £180. With my £52 parking fee (JustPark didn't warn me), 3 days parking turned into £232...thanks Birmingham I won't be visiting again.

I spoke to Barbara Dring and it was very unpleasant. I was complaining about something and she asked where I'm from with a strange demeanour and then proceeded to call me something that wasn't very nice. Phoning to get help but then met with this behaviour wasn't great.

BCC Should be ashamed of themselves!

This is a council targeting non-local drivers with a penalty system designed to extract money, not improve air quality.

Upon leaving and following the SatNav and getting confused by the multiple lanes and poor directional signage, it seems, unknown to me that i had triggered one of their stealth tax cameras!

That should have been just £8 but of course, that BCC don't want you to know you triggered their toll system, so they just wait for that amount to grow to £60 before they tell you. Then that figure becomes £120 if you happened to be away on work things for several weeks!

What a disgusting policy this is!

Tried to report illegal activities by an landlord, birmingham citY council redpinses are "ZERO" there phone lines are never answered, they do not answer their emails,u eae a phone message and no get back to you, their web site is floored as it will not even accept simple post codes. retrain the lot of them or remove their pensions at Birmingham city for incompenentance and allow the city to turn into a lawless society abuse whilst in public office. When it comes to Birmingham City collecting fines, they are very smart, but when it comes to law, they are non-existent! no response for over 2 months and no complaints department inactive. Paying council tsx and tac for a non existence in council services!!

What a rip off !!!!!!!!!!!

What a rip off !!!!!!!!!!!
So Birmingham City Council claim to supply ''affordable housing''...what a joke !!!!!!!!!!
I recently viewed properties to rent, 1 bed flats to be precise on their website..you'd be much better off as a working person to buy ,as most of their properties are £128.00 a WEEK. WORKS OUT TO ABOUT £512.00 A MONTH !!!!!!! A MORTGAGE WOULD PROBABLY COST HALF THAT AMOUNT !!!

Try telling that is affordale to a working person who DOESN'T
claim benefits that that is affordable for someone on
minimum wage !!!

minimum wage.
