If you closed your account, thinking you can open a new one ( PLEASE READ THIS)

My experience with BitStarz ended up being very disappointing, especially because I had been playing there since 2022.

They told me my account was not eligible because it was linked to a previously self-excluded account, and that it should never have been active in the first place. But even with that, they still accepted my deposits and kept the money. When I asked for a refund of my deposits, they refused and said it was for my “protection.”

That is what makes no sense to me. If a casino truly cares about protecting players, it should not keep money deposited into an account that it says should never have been allowed. It should refund the money. Accepting deposits and then refusing to return them while calling it responsible gaming feels deeply unfair.

To be fair, I understand that I violated their duplicate-account policy. I am not denying that. I had closed accounts before and later opened new ones again. I also admit I did not read the terms carefully, and that part is on me.

But this is exactly why I think their system is a problem. If they were really enforcing responsible gaming properly, they should have blocked the duplicate account immediately, before allowing deposits and gameplay. Instead, the account stayed active, deposits were accepted, and the issue only became serious once I tried to cash out.

Over time, I believe I lost more than $10,000 on BitStarz, possibly much more. For me it was mostly entertainment, and many times I did not even cash out when I had the chance. I remember one of my earlier accounts went up to around $5,000 and I still lost it all without withdrawing once ( trustpilot’s policy not allowing me to show my email, but ask me anytime if you want proves ). This time, I deposited a little over $500 and when I finally tried to cash out, that is when they decided to act.

That is why this feels less like “protection” and more like selective enforcement. If I lose, the account is allowed to stay open. If I try to withdraw, suddenly the account should never have existed.

I know BitStarz has a lot of positive reviews and a strong reputation for fast payouts. I used to like playing there too. But people should be careful. A platform can seem great while everything is going smoothly, but the real test is how they handle problems, and in my case, they failed badly.

What bothered me most was not just the account closure. It was the fact that they took the deposits and then tried to frame it as responsible gaming. If they are serious about player protection, they need to stop duplicate or self-excluded accounts the moment they are created, not wait until someone tries to withdraw. Otherwise, another player could lose $10,000 or $20,000 the same way before ever finding out.

I am not as angry as I was when this first happened, but I am still disappointed. More than anything, I regret all the money I lost there over the years. In the end, this whole situation happened over a little more than $500 that I asked to have returned.

I think this is the second review you make regarding the same topic.

I believe we must take responsibility for our actions regardless of what it is about, and it seems here that you're shifting all the blame on us without taking any for yourself.

We have tools in place for responsible gambling, and do everything the law is required of us. But that doesn't mean it absolves you from any accountabillity.

It's illegal to rob a bank, and that doesn't mean because you could go in with a gun and steal money, you can keep it unless someone stops you.

In your case you self excluded from an account, and as per our terms say:

"6.2.2. You are allowed to have only one Member Account. Only one Account for each household, IP, PC is allowed. If you attempt to open more than one Member Account, all accounts you try to open may be blocked or closed and any bets may be voided. "

If you deliberately breaks the rules, there's consequences. You were not allowed to do something but did it anyway, and I'm not sure how that's the fault of the casino.

Don't waste your effort

First off a lot of people are in an agreement here if your not depositing over 50 u will get drained immediately. I have won some but lost much more .. highest win was over 1000 but after I deposited about that much I agree with one guy on here about algorithms finding the gambling addicts and sucking from them it's like u win enough to think maybe there is a chance to come out on top.. smh nope the house wins every time after I cashed out 250 of the 1000 leaving about 500 in my acct my acct did not win ever again kinda odd so I'll wrap this up with just saying save your money go bet on black at the local casino don't waste your time with this bs high flash skimmers they are in business to make money off of addicts that's why most online platforms are banned in most states in US.. I've lost over 5k in this dumb app please take a it from me and don't waste your money unless u don't care

I had a look at your account to verify but I had to puzzle some things together as you have more than 3 accounts with us.

That said, if you've indeed won 1000 dollars with us, that's about 4x what you've deposited across all your account. So I'm not sure what all this is coming from.

So if you've deposited 250 dollars, won 1000 dollars and gambled that all back, I'm not sure how that makes us the bad guys. It sounds to me that you had a bit of luck at the casino.

But gambling problem is indeed a real issue out there and if you identify as a gambling addict it's best to stay away from gambling altogether. I've therefore closed down all your accounts with us and I ask you kindly not to open any new ones.

You've never deposited at BitStarz, but you did open about 6 accounts with us in the span of a few days to try to get the No deposit free spins (which is of course against the terms and conditions of BitStarz and any other casino).

We know this as you used your own name, and Hunter Chadwick is not John Smith after all if you don't mind me saying so. The fact that you used the same device to create all these accounts didn't make it harder for us to detect it either.

To another way to summarize your case is basically.

- You tried to abuse the no registration free spins by signing up over 5 accounts
- You used your own name for all these accounts
- You used the same device creating all these accounts
- You used the same browser creating all these accounts

So that would be the reason.

The worst casino I have dealt with on every level I deposited so much money and onky tried to withdraw on 2 occasions they made it so difficult to withdraw small money wasted hours of my time then finally they sent it it was uncleared so I couldn’t use the money till it cleared 3 days later pls stay away from tnis place quick to take your money but very hard to give it back

I'm sorry to hear that the withdrawal process took longer than you'd liked (and us of course).

We're super proud of the withdrawal speed at BitStarz and we proudly display the average withdrawal time on site. Depending on a few factors though it can take a bit longer, especially the first time withdrawing.

In your case you used credit cards for deposit and you used quite a few of them. By law we need to verify each method, and if we didn't we could lose our license.

Once that's done, paying back to a card or bank account takes a bit of time. I think most people who've had funds reversed to their account have had to wait a few bank days for it to clear.

Don't get me wrong, I'm mad about that too, but sadly that's how banks operate and it's not a BitStarz rule. This is also why we recommend our players using crypto, because we all know what it's like to deal with banks.

But yes, I do sympathize with it taking a bit of time to get the funds and verifying the account for the first time, but it does come down to how many cards you use (as again we need to verify all methods), as well as banks involved.
