Fantastic service from Black Iron Horse. The technician went above and beyond to troubleshoot a tricky issue with my bike, and instead of taking the easy route, he took the time to find the real cause and fix it properly. Friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely cared about getting it right. Highly recommend!

We just received our Polly cargo bike less than a month ago and have been very happy with it. It took us 2-3 days to getting used to the unique rear wheel movement system, but afterwards, driving it is incredibly fun. It feels so smooth, responsive, and stable. The people in the BIH store are very friendly and helpful, especially the girl whom we asked thousand questions when test riding, the guy who were still willing to deal with us although we came much later than the appointment when picking up the bike, and the mechanics. We forgot to ask their names, but their kindness couldn’t go unnoticed. A premium product with premium service - thank you!

If you are not in the towns where these people have service agreements to service the bike you should not go with the option. We reached out to them to ask if we can have the bike serviced by someone else (that they don’t have a service agreement with) pay for it ourselves and forward the bill for a refund but they NEVER got back to us.

The bike is good, but the service is horrible.

My family and I went in-store to do a test drive of one of their cargo bikes, but unfortunately the experience fell way below expectations. From doing our research online, their line of products seemed exciting, innovative and of high quality, so you can imagine we were looking forward to testing out one of their bikes. We were hoping to try out a particular model of theirs based on our needs as a family with a young baby. We arrived at the store only to be told that the model we wanted to try wasn't available - i.e. only 2 of their models were available for testing. As such it was difficult for us to truly determine if Black Iron Horse cargo bikes were right for us. In addition to this limitation, we found the in-store personnel incredibly unhelpful. She lacked basic knowledge of the bikes (and even cargo bikes as a whole) and couldn't answer several our questions. She also made a huge assumption that we knew everything about their bikes so when asked to give us an overview of their products so we could better narrow our choice, she provided incredibly confusing explanations of the different models, etc. Overall, it was a pretty disappointing experience and a huge deterrent to purchasing one of their cargo bikes. There is massive potential for Black Iron Horse to do well in their market but they're missing the mark when it comes to a vital piece in the purchasing decision of their target market.

We are extremely pleased with our Polly Family, which we bought in the summer of 2023: precise handling with the rear-wheel turning, a nice smooth ride, and masses of space for two biggish kids and then some.

Our experience with the team at Black Iron Horse has also been great, through multiple tests drives, service, and dealing with a small issue that arose with no hesitation.

All in all, getting this bike has been a big success for our family. We shouldn't have waited so long!

I recently bought the PONY Family cargo bike from Black Iron Horse. Yes, the price tag is steep compared to other cargo bikes. However, in this instance price and quality go hand in hand. I absolutely love love love my new bike. It’s a joy to ride it. I don’t have a car and this cargo bike absolutely fulfils my needs in terms of city commuting with one child.
Once you have adjusted to the rear end steering there’s no going back to ordinary cargo bikes as the rear end steering grants you outstanding manoeuvrability. This is especially handy as I live in central Copenhagen.
Every detail about the bike is carefully thought out and executed to perfection in terms of craftsmanship. Even the battery has a little tap on top that allows you to effortlessly balance it on two fingers as you carry it along with all your other stuff and groceries that can well fit in the box.
I have a 6 year old boy and a dog and they both fit inside the box along with groceries and such.
I like to compare the PONY Family cargo bike from Black Iron Horse to an Arabian full blood race horse and my old cargo bike from another brand as being a tired, heavy draft horse.
I simply cannot recommend the PONY Family bike enough.
