How do BMW UK allow themselves to be associated with such a shambles of a company as this.
Having paid a final account ( £15.70) three years ago, I was contacted and harrassed by a debt collection company ( Debtist ) for non payment, threatened with court action etc.
I provided screen shots of payment numerous times, still without any acceptance of payment.
Do not have anything to do with this charging company.
Just don't sign up if you don't intend…
Just don't sign up if you don't intend to use it during the trial year or you will get charged.
Echoing what many other frustrated BMW…
Echoing what many other frustrated BMW customers have stated - unknowingly signed up for a 12 month free subscription to a third rate service which I actually knew beforehand that I was never going to use, mainly because a) the network is not particularly extensive, and b) the charging costs are uncompetitive. I started getting payments direct-debited from my account after a year - without any warning that a payment schedule had been initiated and without notification of any kind of cooling off period. I wrote to them asking for my money back, but they wrote back saying I needed to pay a further 3 months. Needless to say I ignored it, and didn't hear anything further for three years, until I received a debtor's letter in the post, demanding £24 plus £10 in debt-collection charges. I am actively battling this out of sheer principle, but it's difficult when they ignore your responses but keep on sending escalated letters warning of legal action if this debt isn't paid.
I am also questioning the sales process when I bought the iX3 - BMW Charging must have received my bank details somehow, but I do not recall agreeing to sign up to this. They could only have obtained these details from BMW Finance, which I do not recall giving them permission to do.
The company breaks pretty much every single customer service rule in the book, and the govt has recently introduced new rules to outlaw many of these egregious practices, but BMW appears to be deaf to its entire EV customer base.
Please be warned when next taking out a new EV and do not sign up for this scam and sham of a service.
I’m speechless to be honest
I’m speechless to be honest. Your employees don’t go through security properly and don’t know what each other are saying. They simply point blank ignored my main issue as it doesn’t even exist. They made a billing error resulting in me being charged a lump some without any warning, they just took the money, and won’t even discuss a refund even I’ve no idea what this “service” is and have never used it. Absolutely the poorest service I’ve received.
Worst charging offer in Europe
Worst charging offer in Europe. Customer service is unable to address any of your concerns. I've been trying for 4 months to sign up in my new country but because I've had a subscription before, basically I cannot sign up again for 8 months. Overall rates are higher aside for a few exceptions, so my advice is not to bother signing up.
Most expensive ( over 3 time more ) and…
Most expensive ( over 3 time more ) and worst Support ever. A shame for BMW.
BMW Charging are a poor choice of charging partner!
A dreadful company keep clear! This is a disgrace to the BMW name! BMW offered 1 year free of monthly charge with new BMW, just paying for electricity used, so I took up offer, and on first month they have IGNORED free monthly membership flat charge and put it straight on first invoice!! I complained about this error from BMW Charging, they have done NOTHING so far and the invoice has been debited at the wrong amount! A FRAUDULENT charge has been allotted in my opinion and ignored, so I will be challenging charge with bank and also cancelling charge contract as I cannot be going through this ridiculous time wasting scam each month. I would recommend setting up account elsewhere, BMW Charging are totally incompetent!
BMW Charging callcenter is a disgrace…
BMW Charging callcenter is a disgrace for a band as BWM. I called and spoke with a Mireille to help me to change my card details. She cut me off. I called again and then she gave me a wrong number. There they didn't understand why she gave that number because her departement was responsible for helping me with the change of the card details. A disgrace for such a band. Luc Struys
This is a worst possible service 1)…
This is a worst possible service 1) card is working only 70% of times 2) today they tried to charge me , but i did not hav money on the card. I transferred money within 1 hour , but they already cancelled my contract I would not recommend BMW electric cars to anybody . On top, battery is getting worse and worse
If I could award zero stars I would. Stay well clear.
If I could award zero stars I would.
In August, I used the Winchester Super Hub (an Instavolt operated site) with my BMW Charging card. Despite the Instavolt advertised promotion, and confirmation that this rate would apply to network users like BMW, BMW Charging billed me £1/kW instead of 54p/kW. I even have photos of the charger unit display confirming my usage and cost per kW and therefore the total charging session.
BMW would have me believe this difference is because they are a different network and their pricing is set differently and they "add value" for users which explains why they have over charged by about £24.
Bad enough they did it, even worse to try and justify it as reasonable.
My advice is steer clear of BMW Charging, and by extension, I will not use them or their cars again.
The service is rubbish and the kept…
The service is rubbish and the kept charging me after I had closed the account and they keep doing so.
I believe this is a scam operation!
Awful company
Awful company, never used the service as the only times I did it failed, starting charging for monthly subscription even though they can see I have never used, took ages to cancel, wont send proof of the charges that they said they billed me for, refused point blank stating "we don't have to provide"
STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!
Absolutely awful
Absolutely awful. My company is IVA free (medical services). Could not register because my VAT number is not recognized by the web site, no matter how much I tried to explain, just told me it my problem, and to talk with the fiscal entities. It was like talking to a wall. Do not recommend at all.
Acknowledged their mistake, said they will repeat
I had to escalate my problem with continuing to be billed for services they stated they had cancelled. Only when I sent them their own message did they acknowledge they had made a mistake.
They then informed me they would repeat the mistake again next month and that I will need to make another complaint to again recover the money they already promised not to bill me.
Quite spectacularly bad really !
Total fraud.
Total fraud.
Cointinue charging me for a service I have never used and although I have cancelled the contract and did receive a confirmation of the cancelled contract they continue charging me monthly. I have sold the car, and wrote about 15 emails and only got automated responses.
Absolutely shambolic.
scammers - contacting ombudsman
Cancelled account on the app when returned company car Dec 2023 - despite not owning a BMW for almost 9 months I’ve just been charged for a 3 month subscription I was not aware of. Customer service unsympathetic and would not write off the £7.95 but frustrating to pay. I have no access to old work email that was associated with the cancelled account. Looking at other reviews, similar story - BMW Charging Scammers
Excessive charges
Excessive charges. Refuses to reimburse!
I charged my car for 1 hour at a public parking in Chamonix, France. I can see the correct charging time on my BMW app. Then I drove home.
They charged me for 24 hours of nonstop charging! 90€ which they refuse to reimburse despite months of emails to their useless customer service.
Avoid at all costs.
Completely Worthless
Completely worthless service from BMW. This is the BMW charging Netherlands network. The staff has no clue what they are doing. Highly incompetent and completely useless service. Making serious mistakes in contracts and payments. BMW should be ashamed of this kind of worthless service and take full responsibility for all the mistakes they make.
No obvious value
The contract appears as a necessity to access BMW charging network but in the U.K. that is either very small or publicly accessible without this contract. The charge card I was meant to get to access discounted rates never arrived and no instructions were given as to how to access the network. It’s free for 12 months and then when charges kick in you realise it provides no value and isn’t that easy to cancel other than by an online process through a portal where you will have forgotten the password. This means you end up paying a few months whilst you sort it out
In breach of data protection
The 'customer service' is impossible to contact either via email or over the phone. They are in breach of the data protection act by continuing to send unpaid invoices to someone who is no longer resident at my address but will not act on information I have supplied.
