Brody has taught me more than my PhD!
I’ve been training with Brody for a year and a half now. Although it may sound extremely cliché, he has literally changed my life.
I first bumped into Brody in the gym and asked him for help with one of the machines. As the conversation developed, I cheekily asked for exercises for belly fat as I was going to the gym 5 days a week, doing an hour of cardio each session, and eating a healthy, balanced diet. However, I had no visible muscles, no definition, no upper body strength, excessive lower belly fat and quite bad cellulite on my bum, thighs and arms. I told him I looked like I didn’t do any exercise whatsoever despite years of working out, and that all I wanted to look “in shape”.
A few months later, I decided to try a personal training session with Brody and haven’t looked back since. Brody is a phenomenal personal trainer! He had given me so much more than just personal training sessions; he has completely transformed my body, my physical and mental health, my relationship with food, and therefore my life.
My programmes change every 10-12 weeks and are split between upper and lower body. I was nervous about weight lifting because I was scared of becoming “bulky” and looking bigger, however I was completely wrong about lifting weights. Brody has taught me how a high-protein, nutrient-dense diet, combined with lifting weights, is the key to losing fat, becoming stronger, and looking leaner and healthier.
Brody checks in with me during the week, tracks my food diary, educates me on health and fitness, and explains how each of the exercises in the programmes train and strengthen each muscle group, and what results I can expect from doing them.
I now have more energy, less anxiety and confusion around food, and I genuinely enjoy and feel positively challenged by working out. The cellulite on my arms and legs has gone and I have significantly less cellulite on my bum! My legs are arms are toned and I’ve lost inches off my waist.
I’m currently in the 2nd year of my PhD and I swear I’ve learned more from Brody than I have from university. I feel as though I now have the equivalent of a masters in fitness and nutrition. I’m truly grateful to have bumped into Brody that day in the gym and I look forward to continuing training with him to become even healthier, stronger and leaner.
