service has gone downhill

service has gone downhill. After a terrible mother's day brunch experience in which we were at the restaurant for almost 3 hours (even though we had a reservation). We had received a $25 gift card for our trouble but it was only good for a later date. My wife and I went back for brunch and were among the first there. Took quite a while to get our food. Both of our orders had missing items. Won't be going back anytime soon.

The grouper was tough

The grouper was tough. Overall the food was average at best. My guest and I voted, we would never return When you spend $150 including tip on a meal w/o drinks, one expects to leave saying, that was the best meal, can’t wait to go back. Through the years, I have always been able to tell if a restaurant is struggling and then it Closes. Sad, Sorry :(

Total Trash Restaurant Now

Total trash restaurant now. Wife and I went because it USED to be a great restaurant. We got fish and chips at the Loveland, CO location. It was so damned greasy, I have never eaten anything so greasy in my life, but the taste wasn’t horrible so I made myself down it. As I write this I sit curled up in the fetal position on the toilet hoping to extricate this demon from my carapace. Horrible pain. God awful. I will NEVER EVER visit Bonefish again in my entire life. Awful. Whoever is the CEO should be removed. Running a once-good restaurant into the ground. I am in so much pain.

The food was good, service sucked

The food was good, but the service was horrible. We waited forever between courses, and the server did not check in to see if we needed more cocktails, water, etc. The bill would have been more for her and her tip, as well as Bonefish Grills' bottom line, but she never checked in with us to see if we wanted "another round". We let her know we wanted dessert, but with few options available, she still took more than 15 minutes to check back with us on our orders. I have been a server, and as a result, I'm usually tolerant and tip up 30%. No way would I have done that tonight!

Dear Bonefish Management,

Dear Bonefish Management,

I am writing to express my disappointment and frustration with the recent experience I had at your establishment. As a regular customer of Bonefish and someone who lost his wife recently after 40 years, sometimes I dine alone. I was shocked and dismayed by the way I was treated when I requested to sit in a booth.

Upon arriving at the restaurant, I politely asked the hostess if I could be seated in a booth. I made it clear that I was willing to wait for a booth to become available, as I understood that they might be occupied at that moment. However, I was taken aback when the hostess outright refused my request, stating that booths were reserved for parties of two or more.

I find it highly unfair and discriminatory that I was denied the opportunity to sit in a booth simply because I was dining alone. This policy seems to imply that solo customers are less deserving of comfortable seating options, which is both discourteous and alienating.

To make matters worse, the response from your management was dismissive and unhelpful. Their suggestion to make a reservation next time if I wanted to be accommodated completely misses the point. Dining alone does not make me any less of a valued customer, and I should be able to enjoy the same seating options as any other patron without having to jump through unnecessary hoops.

I have always appreciated the quality of food and service at Bonefish, which is why I have been a loyal customer for years. However, this recent incident has left a sour taste in my mouth. I believe it is important for businesses to treat all customers with respect and equality, regardless of their party size.

I kindly request that you review your seating policies and train your staff to be more accommodating to solo diners. By doing so, you will not only enhance the experience for customers like myself, but you will also foster a more inclusive and welcoming environment for all.

I hope you take my feedback into consideration and take the necessary steps to address this issue. I look forward to hearing from you regarding the actions you will be taking to rectify

Bonefish Crusty Shrimp

Celebrating my granddaughter’s birthday and being my first visit to Bonefish I decided on my all time favorite, Crusty Shrimp.
First of all let me say the service from our lovely lady server was excellent, she did a fantastic service.
Then our food came from the kitchen, and I was surprised because this was not how I enjoy shrimp. The eight large shrimp were heavily, heavily battered and fried dark and long enough to be tough. I have learned to enjoy shrimp fried in a very, very light batter and just barely golden cooked, not over cooked to toughness. The first shrimp I ate, the remaining seven I peeled off all the batter, but they were still tough. Not wanting to be a standout I choked them down, I was hungry… So, I guess I’ll certainly not do the fried shrimp again at Bonefish.

The food wasn't what I was told it was

The food wasn't what I was told it was. My nephew girlfriend ordered the steak dinner medium rare and it came back to her rear and she had to send it back to the kitchen and then they re-cooked it and then they overcooked it.
I ordered the shrimp mignon with french fries and coleslaw now that dish was okay but it was to sweet and then I ordered the fish and chip which I did not know it was not whities instead it was cod fish which I don't eat!!
Their variety of dishes are limited.
We also ordered my daughter a virgin margarita and my daughter was bought a lemon water with lettuce in the glass.
I guess that's how they do it but that's not what we ordered for my daughter!!😠😠

Everything! From entering to seating! Staff was prompt and polite. My waiter was/is the best! My food was excellent and seasoned perfectly for me! Didn’t have to add anything. And not overly portioned. Was a great experience for me. Will definitely be back!

Visited the location in Elmo

Visited the location in Elmo, SC for Mother's Day. We were in Columbia visiting our son. The music was so loud, we mentioned it to the waitress because we could not hear her and she said yes, it is loud. I understand trying to attract a younger clientele, but the loudness of the music made customers talk louder and led to an unenjoyable dining experience. If not my son and wife there, I would have gone elsewhere. The prices for the amount of food is too high. I ordered the shrimp/pasta/scallop dinner. Three small shrimp and about 15 miniature scallop. My wife had the scallop/mignon, with asparagus. Three spears of asparagus, very small mignon and again, miniature scallop. Although tasty, it was not worth the high price. I wanted to say something to the manager was politely asked not to. I

It's not like it used to be

In the past, Bonefish Grill has been a restaurant that I had considered somewhat upscale with outstanding service and food. This past Monday evening, 1/9/23, I was at dinner with 8 other people at the Bonefish on McMullen Booth Rd. Our experience was far from what was expected. Timing was not an issue since we were there to celebrate a birthday for a friend. Although there were very few people in the restaurant, it took a considerable time to first take our drink orders and bring water to the table. The server appeared to have little experience as she seemed to be somewhat confused while taking our orders, but we were patient. As the food came out, 4 of the people present received their food, while the remaining 5 people sat and waited. The wait had been about 10 minutes until eventually, the entire table was served. A member of our group ordered fish and when it had come out, it had a real fishy smell which indicates that the fish was not fresh. She had subsequently gotten ill afterward. I ordered a filet mignon medium rare. As I cut into the meat, although it was more done than desired, I reluctantly ate it. This was the toughest filet mignon I have ever had. Along with a relatively small scoop of mashed potatoes, this was one of the worst dinner experiences I have ever had. My wife had a dish served with rice, however, the rice was cold. The manner in which the food was served and the table service lacking, we opted to not complain and to just enjoy visiting with friends.
Although it was a Monday evening during dinner hour, the restaurant was virtually empty. The shopping center is undergoing renovations; however, this is not an excuse for poor service and low quality of food.
Overall, I am very disappointed that this meal was far from what would be expected at any restaurant, and specifically a restaurant with the reputation as a destination location for high quality food and service. Neither my wife or I had any alcohol drinks with our dinner and with tip, this was a $65.00 disappointment.

Bonefish - terrible fish and chips

We were in the Bonefish, Littleton, Colorado on November 5. It took 15 minutes before anyone came to service us. They apologized and comped our soup. I have the fish and chips and it was terrible. the breading was hard, thick, and greasy. The taste was greasy and it was hard to even taste the fish. Years ago I had the fish and chips at Bonefish and it was light and flaky.

Bad experience

Went to Bonefish at 7801 Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway Kissimmee, FL 34747 for dinner with my wife. Just had mains (fish & chips + imperial cod). Imperial cod was way under cooked (raw in middle). Meal was taken away and replaced (eventually after my wife had eaten her meal) with v small piece of fish - this time the broccoli was too al dente (raw). Told manager would come and check everything was ok second time around, but they were a no show. Nothing was comped. Probably should have made a fuss, but didn’t want to detract from what had been an enjoyable day for us. I’ve been to a number of Bonefish restaurants and had average to good experiences, but won’t risk going there again after this evening.

Equality injustice and discrimination towards patrons.

On 4/27/21 around 7:48 at Pineville location in Charlotte NC. My two married gay dads and I entered this eatablishment only to be discriminated against because we are a part of the bglt community. We were greeted with some lady hostess with the frizzy hair who did not want to seat us because we’re either gay, because we were of different nationality, or because she was judging what we were wearing? Her lame exscuse which was obviously a lie was....” Due to them having just one waiter and understaffed, there was going to be a 30 minute wait.” I took a peek inside and only saw 3-4 tables that were occupied which didn’t make sense to me of why she would lie to us. ? This hostess person was obviously judging us. I wasn’t born yesterday and I can tell when I’m being profiled and discriminated upon. I was just surprised that in 2021 and during a pandemonium time where businesses are struggling to stay affloat. This franchise would dare make us feel like our money was not good enough for their establishment??? To the person who turned us away I hope you know that one of my gay dad who is in his 60’s recently had a heart attack and was obviously limping towards your establishment. He had to limp back to the car starving because of your ignorant values. Just know that there is a special place below the earth’s crust for people like you. If you are a minority of any sorts just beware of this location and how prejudice they are and apparently above equality rights. My gay Dad is wise and was the one who pointed out this injustice because he’s had to deal with it in the past. I’m appalled by this but hope that any establishment that operates like this will get the karma that they deserve. This location might as well be Chick Fil A or Cracker Barrel due to their antigay/ antiminority agenda. Shame on you!!!

Great food, great bar, great service

This is for the location on 1260 Bower Pkwy, Columbia, SC - Dine In.

I kept meaning to write reviews the last 2 times, but forgot...anyway:

Had the Calimari appetizer twice and Ahi Tuna once: delicious!; had the Sea Bass once, Pecan Crusted Trout once and I forget the 3rd: delicious!; excellent bar, great service. Bacon Mac n Cheese was so-so, as were the desserts, but not bad enough to lower my 5 star rating. I'll definitely go back...again.

Today we went to the Bonefish on…

Today we went to the Bonefish on Commercial Way in Brooksville. As usual my husband's service dog was with us because he goes no where without him. We sat outside in 90 degree weather and not a soul out there besides us. We requested a dish of water. The waitress came out and informed us that we had to take the dog off premises to drink the water. Are you kidding me? We had a different problem with them a few years ago. They tried to seat us at a corner table and there was no place for the dog to go. We left the restaurant and contacted the regional manager. About a week later we received a gift basket for the dog and $200 in gift certificates begging us to come back. We did and everything was fine until today. Snickers is a service dog and we were outside with no one else around. It was almost 2 so the lunch crowd was gone - even inside was empty. You have got to be kidding me? First of all he is a service dog wearing a vest, etc. Second there was no one outside. We have been going there for years - but no more!! And I will make sure everyone knows how we were treated there. Most places are very accommodating with service animals - not Bonefish!! Two strikes and you are out. Guess what - ANYONE will take our money!!

I take my wife here on special occasions.

I take my wife here on special occasions but the prices are reasonable. The staff is incredible attentive. The one time I had a problem with my food, they brought me a whole new dinner and comped it.

Fun atmosphere, excellent food, and great customer service!
