The driver was very sweet and kind

The driver was very sweet and kind. However in the past when we have booked and used Blacklane the drivers were dressed in suit coat and dress shirt and nice slacks. Professionally dressed. Our driver had a very nice car, but was in a t-shirt and jeans. The white crisp t-shirt was nice, but I was surprised by that and it turned me off a bit. That is the change between being owned by Uber and being independently owned by Blacklane.

They accept payment and hold your reservation as pending for days and then cancel the day before. Totally unprofessional service.

Horrible business practices

Horrible business practices. I made a reservation 5 days before I needed a ride. The funds were immediately held on my card. My reservation was “pending” until the day before my reservation then my reservation was declined due to them being “overbooked”. How would they not know they were overbooked until the day before? The money will not be added back to my card for 3-5 more days!! Horrible experience and I DO NOT recommend!

Overbooking situations, while rare, can occur due to unforeseen operational changes, and we recognize that discovering this the day before your ride is unacceptable. We are actively reviewing our reservation management process to prevent this from happening to other customers.

Regarding the held funds — we want to be transparent that release timelines are determined by your bank or card issuer, not by us. Once we cancel a hold, standard processing typically takes 3–5 business days on their end. We understand that does not make the wait any less frustrating.

Always a great experience

Always a great experience. The driver on Friday was friendly and I enjoyed chatting with him. Totally different experience later that day when I had to take an uber. Most importantly your drivers always take good care of my wheelchair and listen to me when I explan how to load my chair. Thank you!

Highly recommend!

We had one sprinter van and one charter bus. Both drivers were fantastic and the service was top notch. The customer service was also extremely professional and efficient. I would highly recommend for others. Thank you so much!!

Beware, Scam!

Update: Just received a notification from Trustpilot regarding this company attempting to flag my review for defamation. Mind you, this is my truthful experience that I have dealt with and if it wasn’t for the company sending me reservation booking with my name, my information, for misuse - I would never have known they even existed. Mind you, this is extremely alarming for a company to send such private and invasive information as well as utilizing your credit card information for such “bookings”. So ask yourselves, how is this in ANY way defamatory? Shame on you.

Never have I ever heard of this company until this evening when I received an email confirmation of a so-called booking under my name, email address, old phone number (which is not in service) with booking from and to San Francisco airport. I doubt this company is real, this is all a scam and information phishing. I am gladly providing my brief experience with this so-called company here to warn others of their suspicious misuse of people’s information with their “bookings”.

Very informative and responsive leading…

Very informative and responsive leading up to trip. Not a regular visitor to NYC but they kept in touch and made it very easy for the pick up process at JFK.
Driver was professional and courteous !!!

This was one of the most egregious examples of exploitative conduct I have ever encountered. After a week-long setup process, they called at 10:30 PM on a Tuesday—clearly timed to catch us at our most vulnerable. They ambushed us with undisclosed fees regarding the next morning, fully aware we were already committed with no alternatives. Exploiting our position, they unilaterally increased the price by $3,000 over the original quote. This is textbook price gouging and bad faith negotiation.
The misconduct continued when an unauthorized $87 charge appeared a week later for "gas fees" never mentioned in any prior communication. Their representatives were shockingly unprofessional and hostile when confronted. This company operates with complete disregard for transparency and ethical standards. I strongly urge anyone considering their services to look elsewhere—this was systematic exploitation, not merely poor service.

Our records show that you first contacted us on October 15 for multi-day transfers from October 20–24. You initially confirmed one Sprinter Van and one Premium SUV for October 20–21, and only one Sprinter Van for October 22–24.  You can refer to your original itinerary that was shared with us. On October 21, you requested to add another SUV for October 22–24. This addition was confirmed and billed at $1,048 total for all three days, not $3,000 as stated in your review.

To clarify, the additional charge was for an extra SUV that you specifically requested, not an increase in the original price or any form of price gouging. The rates remained consistent with your initial booking and were communicated transparently in writing before the service was provided.

The $87 charge mentioned was not a “gas fee,” nor was it unauthorized. It was a waiting time fee, properly billed to you via invoice in the same manner as all other charges — and you paid it in full. This fee applied only because your group exceeded the 15-minute complimentary waiting period by more than 45 minutes. We did not apply a waiting fee for the Sprinter Van, which carries a 3 hour minimum.

We understand that, given the last-minute nature of your multi-day reservation, some details may have been overlooked and not reviewed carefully in the documentation we provided. However, publicly making false statements and misrepresenting our company’s conduct is unacceptable.

All communications, reservation details, and invoices were properly documented and shared transparently. Your review contains statements that are demonstrably false and appear intended to harm our reputation.

We take integrity seriously and categorically reject any suggestion of unethical behavior. Our team worked diligently to accommodate several last-minute changes and ensure all transfers were completed smoothly. We stand by our professionalism and transparency, and consider this review to be a deliberate smear campaign rather than a fair account of the services provided.

Easy experience

Easy experience. Despite a flight delay Wilmer Salas was there. He offered to assist at baggage claim but I had only carry on luggage. Drive was quick and smooth. I will continue to use the booking for my LAX rides.
