BookVault has been amazing to work with! I ran into some tech issues that I couldn't resolve on my own and Tom M was a hero with all his help. Thanks to him, the situation was sorted out and I have gorgeous copies of my books! Can't wait to make more stunning editions with BookVault and Printondemand.

Disappointed.

The entire process is automated. The files were approved but the cover was incorrectly rotated. The quality of the materials is not good. Happy to pay a more to their competitor for human file checkers and higher quality materials.

Marvellous service from start to…

Marvellous service from start to finish. It can be quite daunting, looking at all of the administration needed after you have written/designed your book. All the little things that you may get wrong, or that those outside forces can get wrong (don't buy a cheap ISBN!), but Bookvault were there, step-by-step, to guide me through. I must clarify that none of the issues were caused by Bookvault. They have been professional, clear, understanding and rapid in their responses to queries, hiccups, my confusion. TOM MORGAN, in particular, was utterly fantastic throughout.

I had an urgent case...

I had an urgent case where one of my books in a running series needed to be changed from perfect bound to spiral bound (my fault). Bookvault support (special thanks to Kayleigh) reacted very quickly and kindly unlocked the title so I could update it.

The change was implemented within a few days, and they also confirmed that all new orders would now be printed as spiral bound. This was a huge relief, since many of my readers were expecting the same format as in the previous books.

What I especially appreciate: the fast and personal replies, the supportive attitude, and that I always felt taken seriously as a publisher.

Thank you for the smooth help in a stressful moment! And as well for the wonderful printing and paper qualitiy!

Maybe ok for UK but not international

I had planned to use Bookvault linked to my Shopify account so that I could bypass online retailers for orders in the UK, US and Australia. After doing a few sample orders I have had to abandon the idea and go back to Amazon. The UK orders processed ok but the Australian books took too long to arrive and when they did the quality was not good enough. The US orders which were processed over a fortnight ago still haven't been printed, despite assurances. This service if probably ok if used in the UK and for small numbers of orders but I would counsel against using to satisfy orders in Australia or the US.

Printing with Bookvault so far has been…

Printing with Bookvault so far has been an interesting process. There have been good things and bad things, but let’s start with the Good. The customer service has been outstanding. Kayleigh has been my go to person. She has been nothing but polite and will do everything in her power to try and make things right.

Now, let’s talk about packaging. The books themselves come out great. I haven’t had an issue with the edge printing or the foiling process. I’ve had a few books where the spines are not properly glued to the hardback, but that’s probably it in the printing and assembling process. The biggest hurdle is packaging, especially before an international shipment. My books have been stacked together in three to four piles of six or seven books. There is nothing between the books themselves or between the stacks allowing them to hit each other during transit. This causes dents and dings to the hardback covers and scratches along the foiling. Minimal packaging is something that I generally expect from Amazon, but with BV I’m not only paying for all of these special upgrades, but my printing cost goes way up. I would expect proper care to be taken so that the majority of my books don’t arrive damaged, But right now I’m looking at an 80% Damage rate across three separate orders. Damage that could’ve been prevented had they used proper packaging.

Like I said, Kayleigh has been great during this process, making sure everything gets reprinted, especially where I’m on a bit of a time restraint to deliver these books to customers. But, if they spent a little bit of extra time and money on the packaging in to make sure these books stay protected during shipping, they wouldn’t be wasting money re-printing. In fact, if I have to order my own bubble wrap to send to them to use on my orders, I will.

I will continue to use BV For printing as the books that do arrive on damaged, are high-quality and beautiful.

Excellent books and customer service

I've been using Bookvault for my online book store since April 2024 and I have to say, bar the few odd hiccups which any printing company can have, I have been absolutely delighted with the quality of the books they produce, including my stunning bespoke editions. So are my readers! I want to say a special thanks to the Bookvault Team for their top notch customer service, especially Kayleigh, who always answers promptly and resolves all my issues :D

Good customer service with complex…

Good customer service with complex issue. So I am setting up on Bookvault and the email help is fine and response to their response is quick. However, for a complex problem their ten minute bookable video calls are fantastic. Curtis sorted a complex Bookvault Wordpress Woocommerce issue on the video call and answered various aligned questions well. A confident, well informed helpful and honest experience. I have dealt with before and his openness about pros and cons of various options gave me confidence in his answers.

Tom is the man. 10/10 awesome human.

This review is specifically about one amazing customer support agent at Bookvault: Tom. Tom went above and beyond to resolve an issue I was having, going so far as to ensure specialists came in to work on the printers and even mailing me a few dustjackets to approve since I had already spent so much on proofs and was overwhelmed and stressed about trying to resolve the issue on my own. I have never experienced such above and beyond customer service and if I could, I would send him a fruit basket or a winning lottery ticket because that man is gold. Bookvault, if you're reading this, give the man a raise!

Helpful service and straightforward process

I had an old title with Print on Demand - World Wide (pre bookvault) which I wanted to transfer to bookvault to update and reprint. Tom was patient in tracking down the title and explaining to me how to transfer it without additional charge. I have also put on a couple of new titles and found the process - including sizing the cover - straightforward.

Very happy so far!

So far, everything has been great, even from overseas. Kayleigh Cliffe has helped me tremendously. I can't wait to see the final product! A big thank you to my BV team member

A big thank you to my BV team member, Tom Morgan, who has helped me navigate the Bookvault US & UK system to find the perfect way to print my full color photographic garden and dog book!
