I had an incredibly frustrating experience
I had an incredibly frustrating experience with Boost Infinite and their customer service. I recently called to cancel my North America add-on before the billing cycle started, expecting my request to be processed and avoid any charges. To my dismay, their system failed to process the cancellation, and now I'm being billed for a service I explicitly tried to cancel.
When I reached out to customer service for help, they told me they couldn’t do anything about it because their system doesn’t allow for reversing charges, even though Boost Infinite’s records clearly show my cancellation request was made on time. This is unacceptable.
I asked to speak with a supervisor, and I was told I would receive a call after the supervisor was done with lunch. It's been an unreasonable amount of time with no follow-up call from Boost Mobile. This lack of action and accountability is infuriating.
It’s disappointing to see a company fail so miserably at customer service and issue resolution. Why should I have to pay for their system's mistake? This situation has left a very negative impression on me, and I would advise others to think twice before using Boost Infinite’s services.
Do not go to this company!
Do not go to this company!! The worst Customer service, phones do noy work after a month and they wont cover it they make you call the manufacturer of the phone for a return. Bill is always outrageous and have to call to have it corrected. Worse company I've ever in my life dealt with. Had to pay shipping to send back the wrong phone they sent me. Who does that?
Lied to twice about why I didn't have…
Lied to twice about why I didn't have internet and was told because I used all my data when I am on the unlimited plan. Told I have to port my number to another carrier if I want to change from AT&T network back to the T-Mobile network I was on before I switched from Boost Mobile to Boost Infinite in order to keep my number because now they are all the same company -BM. I can't just switch networks or go back to Boost Mobile prepay using my old t-mobile sim card.
Absolutely horrible do not waste your…
Absolutely horrible do not waste your time nor money. When a problem occurs they do not want to troubleshoot the issue. Never ever again.
International plan is a scam…
International plan is a scam…. Not reliable and too expensive. I was traveling in Europe and it said I had used the maximum amount of data and could not add anymore. So I was stuck without any data and since the phone was locked, could not even add a SIM card. I bought the phone outright so that I could use Airalo. And there is no way to speak to a live person…terrible company! Don’t even try them, no matter what a good deal that you think you are getting…
RUN FOR THE HILLS! NEGATIVE STARS!
RUN FOR THE HILLS!
I would give this negative stars if I could. They are bait and switch. They DO NOT have good coverage at all ANYWHERE. I’m in a capital city and the coverage is terrible. 100% packet loss latency if 1,700+ ms, 0.6Mbps download and 0.3Mbps upload. They DO NOT honor their “money back guarantee” refund when you buy from the Boost Infinite store on Amazon. They make it seem like you can switch from carrier “partner” tower to tower and you cannot! You are locked to whatever carrier “partner” they assign you to. I’m stuck on the Dish Network (who owns Boost Infinite) carrier. There is only less than 10% coverage in my city and almost zero coverage between my city of over 2M people and another major city with over 4M people. I get zero coverage inside buildings in this second city! Ridiculous. They have billing practices that are inconsistent and not transparent. You are not credited correctly for their part of the phone purchase! Hello FTC! You also pay for taxes and fees that they state in the contract are covered. They are in breach of their own contract. I have been on the “xxxxxx LTE” network and no one will even admit it exists and have been called a liar! I have screen shots to prove it! I have been using the FCC Speed Test app to report them with Challenges. I recommend everyone do the same to call them out and hold them accountable. The FCC will get to the bottom of it! They are lying about their coverage map! I am looking into a bait and switch class action suit. If you have the ability reach out to join or start your own! BAIT AND SWITCH! RETAIL FRAUD! WHAT YOU GET IS NOT WHAT THEY ARE ADVERTISING!! Their employees don’t know anything! THEY Don’t know who owns them! Where the corporate offices are! Don’t know who the CEO is! Don’t know if any formal complaint process! Don’t know their own policies! Their “Corporate Escalations” manager is a joke! Rude and very unhelpful! This company is headed for bankruptcy if you look at their quarterly losses! Don’t get entangled! Join the Reddit BoostInfiniteSucks subreddit! Worst mistake I EVER MADE!
Drop call issues
I am an existing customer for about 2 months now. The customer service is pretty good. They're helpful and the response time is good. The phone I got through them is solid and I really enjoy this phone. My problem is the service is horrific. Every call is dropped. When I do get a call it mutes the conversation for atleast 30 seconds every 1-2 minutes. Constantly loses signal. I really hope they resolve these issues. I'm stuck for 3yrs or till I pay the phone off which ever comes first. Please fix because at this rate I will return to metro pcs
If I could give zero stars I would
If I could give zero stars I would. I placed an order with Boost Infinite twice for 4 new phones and lines. And twice the order was cancelled with ZERO explanation as to why. I was only told that I was "not eligible" for service. Mind you my credit score is over 750, so it's certainly not a credit worthiness issue. Don't bother trying to setup service with these jokers. It would be a complete waste of hours of your time.
TERRIBLE
TERRIBLE! Signed up and paid on 7-9-2024, next day, got an email to call them immediately. Called and they said they are not able to complete the order, no reason, said they wouldn't even give a reason by mail. Over $200 won't be refunded for 7-10 business days. SCAM!!!!!
Absolutely terrible phone coverage and…
Absolutely terrible phone coverage and service. Run away.
where to start
where to start, the service was good for the first year then suddenly we start getting txt messages that we used all of our 30gbs in the fist 4 days of the month which is impossible and at first they agreed and said theres a tech issue on their side well six months pass with the same thing happening and calls start to be dropped and txts aren't sent or received , voice mail comes,a day late if at all! They would keep me on the line for 2 hrs trying to tell me everything is normal on their end and do everything so that I wouldn't talk to a manager. I finally did get to one who was very sympathetic and agreed to give months free in compensation but the things got worse and they wouldn't let me talk to a manager again. so that was it, I called to get my port out pin and they start by saying thanks for being a loyal customer for a year and a half then I said I wanted a port out pin to which he asked why and I told him because I wasnt getting the service that I payed for and he had the nerve to offer me a discount for 3 months!! I'm gone from them! stay away!!!
Solid So Far
Ported from ATT to Boost Infinite in Oct 2023. Service has improved since then. Def had growing pains but solid choice for me. Only gripe is there are certain features it still hasn’t implemented on the app that are basic for the other carriers. Word of advice, please research before considering boost and see what’s available in your area do not blame boost when everything is literally online.
Really bad service calls always drop…
Really bad service calls always drop and data never works stay away!!!!
had service for less than 30 days and they will not refund me even though it says on website try for 30 days for full refund
Total scam
Horrible scam of a company
Horrible scam of a company. I was approved for a I phone and my card charged. The next day I was sent an email saying there was an issue with my order and I needed to call them or it would be cancelled. After 30 minutes I was told I didn't qualify at this time. My card has been charged and I was told a refund ticket would be charged. I called back another person said they didn't see the charge. This company is a scam. Do not use!
I only connect to Wi-Fi when I am home
I only connect to Wi-Fi when I am home, it will not allow me to connect to Wi-FI anywhere else. I bought a brand new phone hoping that would solve the problem, but this new phone is worse than my old phone. The screen gets blurry, it will not swipe and the volume changes without me doing anything. I wish Republic Wireless did not sell out.
I am typing this as I have just been…
I am typing this as I have just been put on hold for the 6th time by Boost infinitie. I left AT&T because I thought I would save some money with Boost's. Big mistake. I bought a Samsung A25 which I like very much but the problem is with boost infinite's network.
The phone will only call out once in awhile no matter if I'm at home, the gym, or the store. Friends and family have emailed me saying they tried to call but can't get through. I have only been a customer for 30 days and have now been on line with their tech dept five times. They have not been able to help. I have a sim card transferred from my old phone so I know that's good. Getting a transfer pin out takes forever even after waiting forever for them to answer. Anyway going back to AT&T where I know i can receive calls. Boost Infinite was terrible for me.
I hate this phone service
I hate this phone service. It always says no network. Drops phone calls all the time. This phone service 100% sucks I am going to go back to another provider. I don't recommend you are going to be very disappointed. It's that bad when I was talking to a representative it dropped three times during the phone conversation. What good is a phone when you can't use it
Please automate
First let me say that the customer service reps at Boost Infinite couldn't be nicer. Of course the call is probably recorded so they have to be. The flaw lies with their antiquated system. It took me two weeks to move my plan from Consumer Cellular. Each transaction took a minimum of four hours. Most involved long waiting times as reprentatives transfered me over a d over. Items were shipped to incorrect addresses. It's too exhausting to go into detail but here's my biggest complaint. None of the reps transfer information or even write it down as far as I can tell. Each transfer results in you having to provide your name, address, phone number, pin number, even your social security number (you know, for security purposes). It's just down right maddening. There is absolutely no reason this stuff can't be done online.
Customer service is disappointing!
I was approved yesterday for a new plan which comes with a new phone. They did a credit check and everything came back good. There was no deposit, and no finance charge for the phone. Then this morning, I got an email from them saying my order was canceled. After waiting on hold for over 30 minutes, they finally got a response. They said the system canceled my order. When I asked why, they said they couldn't tell me. The person told me to have a good day and hung up on me.
I deserve a better response, other than the system canceled my order. I went to call back and speak to someone else, and they had blocked me! This is ridiculous! I have Boost One right now, and now I'm going back to Cricket! I've been with boost for over 5 years, perfect payer and never had any real complaints about the service... until today!
I'm done with Dish Network and Boost Mobile!!!
Worst carrier ever.
If you’re looking for a new phone/carrier I would not recommend going with Boost Infinite, ESPECIALLY do not go with their “Infinite Access” plan.
You will get locked into an expensive three year lease/contract promising you a new phone (that will renew every year unless you decide not to upgrade!) with “fast 5G data” and then they give you the worst service you could imagine and a customer support team that actually does respond quite quickly but is mostly useless when it comes to actually solving problems (with them usually just telling you to reset your network settings or wait 30 seconds and reset your phone which does absolutely nothing.)
“Infinite Access” feels more like Limited Access. I’ve had issues with phone calls, my voicemail didn’t work for EIGHT months (and I am still not setting it up since the service is so bad I don’t usually get phone calls anyway), the data rarely works very well, the billing was totally screwed up for months, the initial activation experience was worse than it was with any other carrier (I’ve had service with AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, TracFone, Straight Talk, and Simple Mobile...) and I waited several months to call support again just to find out that they are still just as bad as the people I initially talked to that most likely got laid off right after I signed up.
To add insult to injury they have been playing ads on national television showing off their “smart network switching” feature that only exists in like 18 states and is mostly only in big cities..
I knew it was still sort of a “beta” thing back when I signed up and I was really hoping things would get better but with my experience over the past year I would never recommend this MVNO/carrier to anyone, beta or not.
I switched from T-Mobile expecting something better but instead I got forced onto the same network except my service is now deprioritized to the point where I struggle to load basic web pages like Google or watch YouTube videos at anything higher than 240p.
