borrow my doggy is amazing for those who don't wasn't to commit to a dog but want to look after a dog whilst also helping the owner with walks!

No-one wanted to 'borrow my doggy'.
I was a member for a year. In that period there were lots of 'likes' and general interest, but when it came down to the commitment of taking a dog on a walk, and the responsibility (because who can guarantee that their dog will never 'react' in some way...) no-one was willing to sign up. The website owners were not interested.

Easy to use, a fair price and if you are in touch with a premium member, communication is easy.
As a suggestion, to join, all should pay the nominal fee otherwise it’s not possible to get a reply.

Great way to meet lots of wonderful dogs. Easy to use app. Not much point unless you’re a premium member though as you can’t message anyone.

It’s amazing! Everyone is a winner - owners, borrowers & doggies! We have made some lovely friendships through it too. Happy days!

Do try and match you with right people for your fur babies

After sadly losing my two elderly dogs within a year of each other I joined borrow my doggy with hope that I could somehow bring some joy back in my life by meeting dogs in my area... I must admit I think I hit the jackpot first time with the beautiful little cavapoo that I have been lucky to meet and her equally lovely owners.. I now have this little bundle of joy quite often when it is convenient to myself and her owners. They live really close by and are happy to bring her to me. It is a win win situation as her owners need support as they are very busy, and being retired I have time to fill in the gaps with the care of this little angel.. She is so loved by her owners and I am building a great relationship with her whilst I am no longer financially able to have a dog of my own. I think the concept of borrow my doggy is pure genius.

Have been using this service for four years and it has been a great way for my dog to get the walks and stimulation he needs when I’m a bit too busy with work.
It also meant I had a great couple to take him for a fortnight stay when I was not very mobile after hip surgery. Highly recommended!

It is an awesome website! We met few dogs and one of them we absolutely fell in love with! We see her regularly now! Thanks to whoever had this original idea!

I loved that I could choose dogs (and owners) to connect with.
I’ve totally enjoyed bonding with a cocker spaniel pup and would recommend BorrowMyDoggy to anyone wanting to help out with walks and able to dog sit.

Nice idea (borrower) but despite only being on the site a few weeks i have had messages asking me to look after dogs for up to 14 days over Christmas ! I’d hoped for a gradual relationship with a doggie family not just an up front request for such a long period of time I have however walked a couple of lovely doggies and hope to carry on doing that on a more regular basis and maybe once I get to know a family I’d be happy to have their dog in my home.

We have a little Cavachon who is very sociable and loves children. We are two retired people, so it’s lovely to have a delightful family with a five-year old coming to take him out once a week.

Just so happy to be part of this two- way community. Helping people & fixing my longing for a dog. Perfect solution. Thankyou.

I tried to join on their website but it would not work. So I then attempted to speak to someone on their number...for days I have been messaging...sending emails...plus have rang at least a dozen times and each time it goes straight to voicemail stating someone would ring me back...I have not had any response whatsoever to all my requests and am.beginning to wonder if this is a genuine company....

Having spent time looking at the site and satisfying ourselves that there were plenty of interested people in our area we signed up. We then had a few people get in contact, we also got in touch with likely 'dog borrowers' for our small spaniel. Then nothing....we got back in touch with people who had shown interest in meeting our dog but still no responses. This was not just one or two people this was close to 10 people. Not sure what the issue is but we are certainly unsatisfied with our experience to date.
As soon as I registered the doggies in my area appeared on the app, there were even some I recognised!
A few owners contacted me asking for help with their dogs but then I matched with a local dog. This scheme is such a brilliant idea, all the benefits, cuddles, exercise, fresh air without any commitment! I have recommended it to so many people.

This site is such a great idea
I cant have my own dog for a number of reasons. It took a little while - maybe 8 weeks - to make a match but since I met my dog and owner its been wonderful. I love walking Penny and its been so good for my physical and mental health to get out in the countryside with this gorgeous dog.

I've met some great people and dogs, it's been so good for my mental health since the sad loss of my own dog last year.

After a full year of membership, I have not had one willing match.
Waste of money.
I recommend reaching out to friends, family and community, it's those that got me through a difficult period when I couldn't walk my dogs.
This service of insurance with an online profile, that you write, will only work if you have willing and active members on your door step registered with borrow my doggy.
For me, my £48 would have been better used elsewhere.

Signed up for there premier service £49.99 for a year.
Contacted 3 people, 1 person replied in my 1st day of joining. We exchanged a few texts. I offered the person the opportunity to meet my dog by supplying my name and address. The lady never got back to me.
And borrow my doggy will not refund my £49.99 as we exchanged texts.
0 stars is too good!
Avoid this dog shit company.
No intention of refunding my money.
RIP OFF SCAM COMPANY !!!
