Greedy and Terrible Customer Service

UPDATE: THE ITEMS WERE NOT DELIVERED AT ALL AND THE ORDER PLACED 3RD NOVEMBER 2025 WAS CANDELLED AT 1830HRS 10TH NOVEMBER

This company has terrible customer service.

I bought an item online on 3rd November 2025. I paid £8.95 for delivery. It is now 1615hrs on 10th November and it still hasn't arrived.

I received an email on 4th November 2025 from Brian's of Risborough telling me that the item had been dispatched that day via FedEx and to allow 1-3 days for delivery, which meant the latest the order should have been delivered to me was Friday 7th November. Then tumbleweed.

I chased the order by email yesterday, 9th November. 10th November I received notification from FedEx delivery would be made between 0930hrs and noon. More tumbleweed.

I contacted Briants again. I received no apology but was told to expect the delivery before 1800hrs and was given a tracking number.

I tracked the package and found it wasn't shipped until 6th November so the email dated 4th November was a deliberate lie.

Perhaps the item will arrive before 1800hrs but I'm not holding my breath.

Briants of Risborough in my view seek to also make a profit on postage and clearly chose the cheapest delivery option FedEx offer. Other companies offer next day delivery with the likes of DHL for free or for a lot less than £8.95.

Needless to say, I will not buy from Briants of Risborough ever again.

Such a good team at Briants

Such a good team at Briants. Can’t recommend them enough for their huge range of all types of fencing supplies and timber. Includes free local delivery too, save yourself some money and don’t B&Q it.
