Brinsea doesn't stand behind their products

I ordered an Ovation 28 advanced as a second incubator and it has been awful. There are hot spots within the incubator as evidenced by multiple trusted thermometers I keep inside it. The humidity has also been a nightmare to control resulting in 2 shrink wrapped peachicks. I called Brinsea to see if they would take it back and give me a credit toward a more expensive 56 EX which I already have and don't experience these issues with and they wouldn't let me return it since I used it. Well how else would I know about these issues if I didn't use it???? Awful customer service.

We’re sorry to read of the disappointing results of your Ovation 28 Advance incubator and apologize for the inconveneince. The terms of our returns policy indeed state that
All merchandise returned for refund or exchange must be NEW and UNUSED in the original packaging and with a copy of your original receipt. Please note that refund will depend upon the condition in which the product is received.
But although we are unable to accept the return for a refund, your incubator is covered by our manufacturer warranty and we will be happy to service it or replace it if it cannot be serviced. As a courtesy we offered to arrange collection and return shipping at our cost. We have reached out several times to schedule a pick up but have not heard back from you. We stand by our products and remain at your disposal to get your incubator serviced.
