Communication was terrible

I think honestly it was just communication was terrible. Follow up, follow through, email communication was hit or miss. You really need to fix. We had our last session and then it went dark. Never heard from Kim again.

The counselor was absolutely terrible...

Our counselor, Kim Blackader, repeatedly forgot key details about myself and my husband. We would tell her details, and then every time we came back she would guess at things because she didn’t have the information. She asked me about having a relationship with my dad after I had discussed his suicide two or three times. Same thing about my husbands details. Then when I emailed her 5 days before our scheduled appointment very politely telling her that I didn’t think she was the right person for the job, they still charged me the day of our originally scheduled appointment. THEN sent me some absolutely insane email about a $6,000 3 day marriage intensive course. Like...ok. I’ve heard the place itself is great but that lady needs to GO. She was terrible. I see three other people have already left terrible reviews about this lady saying the same thing. She is hurting their practice in a major way.

Oh and I would like to add, my husband and I were very willing at that time to get ourselves together in the Lord. To get our family right. And this was our last hope. Well, we are now getting an effing divorce. The problems got significantly worse during the time we were seeing Kim. My husband and I both told her ITS A HUGE MESS but we want to fix it. I had even emailed her between appointments desperate for feedback and SHE NEVER EVEN RESPONDED. Our family just kind of flapped in the wind after Broken Chains and we never even got the chance to recover. I wholeheartedly believe that during our time there, we were there for a reason. We wanted things to be better for ourselves and our family unit. We were receptive and ready to be guided. Well, we got zero guidance. Absolutely none. This was the perfect time to ask me for a review, let me tell you. My husband left us three days ago and is staying with family with no intentions of ever coming home. He was THERE asking Kim for help, and she really screwed the POOCH I’D SAY. The pooch being MY FAMILY.

You know what, I have more to add. Kim was ALWAYS TIRED. She constantly looked as if she had gotten zero sleep the night before our sessions. She spoke super slowly and would forget what she was saying. Seeming super lost, her words would just kind of trail off and then she’d plug in some random words that didn’t make sense to make up for the fact that her sentence was incomplete. It wasn’t just one session, it was every time we saw her.

THANKS KIM!!! Merry Christmas to you.

Never again

Wont stop emailing me and sending me mail even though I was dissatisfied by one of their counselors. In 2018, Kim Blackadar forgot our names and stories after the 1st visit and took a whole lot of notes with no feedback. She forgot everything we told her when we visited her on the 2nd time. She did not review our file before our second visit and made lots of jokes. I don't think she took us serious as paying clients. I never went back. My husband and I prayed through our issues and used the bible as our source instead and it worked.
