It's to stiff ,it rolls away at all of the edges because of the glue thay stick different foam together the foam has splitas well after 7 weeks. And the smell 6 weeks it still stinks . I had a mattress of these years ago was the best iv had,dont know what thay have done but it's terrible now what a mistake don't buy one

This company is a scam. Do not trust any of those 5* reviews, which have probably been purchased. Just scroll down and see for yourself the scores of people saying the same thing as me.

I purchased a Perla mattress less than two years ago. £4,000 sticker price but luckily "55% off". It took 4 months to get delivered, and already back then I had come here to write about the delivery times and the dishonest communication. I turns out that some people who ordered a few months after me never received their mattresses (that they had fully paid).
I received mine, but alas, as other reviewers have flagged, it doesn't last 10 years, but less than two. I have been waking up with the worst back pain every morning. When I travel and sleep on any other mattress (or couch) I immediately feel better. The mattress completely sagged and looks like a moon crater. Upon reaching out to them and trying to exercise their "10 Year Guarantee", I found out that the company I purchased from was liquidated a year ago, and a new one incorporated with a similar name and same branding. They will not honour any guarantees.

@Anyone who reads this and feels the same way as I do, I am intending on bringing legal action against the new owners of the company. They clearly know what they are doing -- which is scamming the consumers. I don't care what it costs, I just want to burn them to the ground.

Bought my firm mattress in July 2022…

Bought my firm mattress in July 2022 and initially comfortable, it is now showing flaws and is no longer supportive. Two years for a “premium” mattress is unacceptable.

This isn’t a mattress that is built to last, and I was wary when it arrived however I dismissed these worries as the company had such great reviews on sites such as The Independent and other well known, highly thought of magazines etc.

Continued to sleep on it until six months ago when both my partner and I realised that it was the Brook & Wilde mattress causing us both hip and spine pain. Neither of us have had this pain before. Went away for a weekend and slept on another bed and had a great night’s sleep. Came back to our bed and back to achy necks and spines again.

I should have noted the red flags.
Upon delivery I noted that there were more mattresses being returned piled up in the van than there were parcelled up ready to be delivered.
The mattress itself is just a pile of foam. The complexities of it which are illustrated on the website are dire. Don’t be fooled.
This is one of the worst mattresses I have slept on and the amount of money spent I regret bitterly.

Would not recommend and be wary of anything that the original founder Andrew Tyler gets involved in in the future as the so called “wave” technology that is supposed to support hips and back sags out after two years with one person weighing 60kg and the other weighing 85kg!

Sadly I see that the company has now gone into liquidation and customers are having dreadful issues - this is appalling and I appreciate I am lucky as I did actually get a bed out of them.

I have learned to trust no reviews online or in any journals/magazines or newspapers as even Which? recommended these mattresses!

Terrible product, terrible company

Bought a bed from former company, not fit for purpose in less than 2 years.

Contacted to get money back and were informed of liquidation and as it had been more than 120 days we were out of time to get our money back.

The product is good initially but does not last. I expect they'll also close the company again when things go awry and even more consumers will lose their money.

Don't waste your time with them unless you're prepared to buy a new product within a couple of years of purchase and risk losing hundreds of pounds.

We ordered an expensive mattress from this company, in March, they kept delaying the delivery date giving excuse and automated responses saying delivery was delayed until eventually I contacted them asking for a refund, they said the company had gone into administration and they were now a new company. They relaunched with the same name/website and didn't refund us (all links from previous emails took us to their current/"new" website. Thieves. I don't know how they've managed to get away with this.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY, THEY STOLE £2K FROM US!
We purchased a bed and bedding from Brook & Wilde, who then went into administration while taking a lot of others money alongside ours. We contacted the bank with all of the 1 updates I received from them stating the bed was still "on it's way". A year later and it never came. We attempt to retrieve our money but foolish purchased this not on our credit card so were unable to. We have learnt our lesson, never again! THEIVES!

Great mattress and great service!

Brooke and Wilde were recommended to us by friends who had tried .... and returned, 3 other mattresses before settling with Brooke & Wilde.
We've only had the mattress a few days, but what an immediate difference! Its like sleeping on a cloud, soooo comfortable, and no stiff joints in the morning.
All staff were very helpful during the ordering process and the delivery guys were lovely and helpful too. Based on everything so far, I would definitely recommend - you won't regret it!

The Pennington Siberian Goose Down Pillow

In November 2023 I purchased the Pennington Pillow, the pillow started off fine. However within a short period of time it lost all it's support and it was like sleeping without a pillow at all. Contacted their quality control with no help at all, forget customer service!

AWFUL / FLIMSY, useless after 2 years!

These mattresses are a con. Ive had mine two years, im an average size female and the side i sleep on is totally dented down despite swapping it around 3 times since i got it. And i got medium / firm, elite. Now the mattress is like a hill.

Dont be fooled by the expensive prices, designed to make you think they are something they arent. Before this matress i slept on a hypnos for 13 years that never dented at all.

BEWARE

BEWARE. We purchased a mattress from Brook and Wilde in 2023.
It was awful, the side collapsed.
Repeatedly got fobbed off then 5 months later, the company went into liquidation. (Aug 2023)

3 years of sleep on the Elite Mattress!

I bought my Brook & Wilde Elite Mattress almost 3 years ago and I was just recommending them to a friend and thought they deserve a review!
The mattress has been amazingly comfortable throughout the years so far. It provides that perfect sweet spot of bounce, support, and memory foam feel. It has definitely retained it's firmness and I've had a much better night's sleep since purchasing with no aches in the morning.
They also have a lovely luxurious feel and great ergonomic design. I can't give enough praise on how useful it is to have sturdy handles and a very easily removable and washable top mattress cover (which doesn't require a struggle to get back on at all thanks to the clever zip design). I've had a few hybrid and memory foam premium mattresses over the years but this is so far my favourite! Great customer service too.

Rip off merchants!

Rip off merchants!
Still owe me and several many others, money for products legitimately purchased but never delivered. Still waiting for a refund for a mattress purchase made last March, that was never supplied. The company took almost £1700 from me and likely did the same to many other customers, never delivered and then fobbed us off for months on end before shutting the company down and reopening immediately under a new company name. I am pursuing the matter through my credit card company and hope I'll get my money back at some point. But in the interim you would be very silly to buy ANYTHING that this company is selling.

The mattress is poor quality and dips…

The mattress is poor quality and dips started appearing within months. When contacting Brooke and Wilde they said that the company had gone to liquidation and the new company with the same name can’t help me even though I was within the 1 year time frame.

Do no buy any mattress. I should have looked at the review before making the hefty purchase.

Very Poor Quality

Purchased a Brook and Wilde mattress and base in the 1st half of 2023. Initial thoughts were that the mattress was very soft and lacked support. We purchased a medium. Within 3 months the mattress started to sag where we slept and became uncomfortable. We asked for a refund on the mattress and Brook & Wilde tried to get us to take a replacement; luckily we declined. We did receive a refund before the first iteration of this company went into Administration. Since then the base, which appears to be made of balsa wood has broken and we now have a hole in the surface. Our correspondence has subsequently been ignored. We went with Brook & Wilde having read glowing reviews in some national newspapers etc. We thought we were purchasing a quality product from a firm with high standards. Overall a very disappointing product and experience. We would advise others to look elsewhere.

1 year old mattress…. Sagged

I bought a mattress 1 year ago. It now has a deep saggy dip in it on my side. My girlfriend’s side is ok. I’m a bit heavier than her but at 15 stone I’m not exactly a heavy weight.
Called the company to sort the issue as I had a 10 year warranty to be told they’d gone bust. But reset up under a very similar name and everything looks the same web site etc.
They told me that I’d ordered my mattress the day before they went bust.
No way to get an exchange or refund and the mattress I have is crippling me. I need to purchase another from a respectable company. Shame it had such good reviews when I bought it but checking the reviews again it now seems many people have had the same issue.
I advise all to avoid this company as the products are inferior and then they go bust and start up again to avoid fulfilling the warranties.
You will be left frustrated, angry, out of pocket and crippled by this rubbish product.

Genuine review

Bought our mattress, had rave reviews, now sunken offering no support despite claiming to have several layers of inbuilt support. My husband has a skin condition and it has been a nightmare sweating him, causing him to wake itching every night. But when we stay at hotels, no problems. The company, “Brooke + Wilde Ltd.” has now gone into administration, and “Brooke + Wilde Sleep Ltd.” is the new trading name. This means that the company we bought our bed from doesn’t honour any warranty or guarantee. Poor business practice. Avoid if you like a good nights sleep and money well spent.
