Sleepless painful nights!!

Was originally very happy with the mattress but have been suffering with a bad back for months. Didn't think for a second it could be the mattress, until my husband starting waking up in agony too!

After reading reviews on here, we checked our super king mattress and both sides are sunken in The middle is still nice and firm (neither of us are overweight).

Please do not buy a mattress from this company, unless you are happy for it to last only 2 years.

Had a great experience from my mattress for 3 years until I experienced issues with it being misshapen. This ‘new’ company with the exact same name and products will not honour the 10 year guarantee. So do not risk it!!

Bad product and doubtful company to deal with! Buy at your own risk

Same issue as many users here! Bought an Ultima mattress from Brook + Wilde Ltd (now rebranded Brook + Wilde Sleep) in Feb-23 and got it delivered in May-23. After using it for a couple months we were not happy with it as it was too soft and was starting to sag in the middle so after the three months required usage period I tried to get in touch with them in Aug-23 to return the product but they were not responding to the email. I have called the customer support to be told that the 'Brook + Wilde ltd' company went into administration and the new company 'Brook + Wilde Sleep' had nothing to do with them (although products, web page and phone number are the same!) and they did not know anything/have info or are liable on the previous business and the advice was to contact the ombudsman! I tried this but there was no answer despite my voicemails. So for me the new company is the same people/company but trading under a new name so they do not take responsibility for their previous faulty products and left many customers exposed. So, I would not buy anything from them as you might be at risk of the same happening again. I am also not impressed with their mattress as the quality isn to good and just after a couple months started to sag quite badly and at the moment we are still using it but the quality of sleep is dreadful. I am out of pocket for more that one thousand pounds and trying to recover this from the credit card so I can buy another mattress as we cannot stand any longer the Brook + Wilde awful product...so buy at your own risk but I would stay away from them...

Perla is mostly foam and has virtually no natural or luxury materials

Bought the Perla at ridiculous cost last February and am still paying it off via their finance option. I was seduced by the description of "silk, cashmere, alpaca wool etc" on their website which sounded luxurious indeed. Removal of the cover (which is polyester) shows the Perla to be mostly layers of foam with virtually no luxury or natural materials. This product is still being sold by the new phoenix Brook Wilde company (following liquidation) with identical description of the natural materials. Its just an expensive bit of foam!! And the liquidation and phoenix company that replaced it means they will not honour the warranty.

Bought the Perla mattress before they…

Bought the Perla mattress before they went into administration. Wanted to return it as it was making my back pain worse. No reply to any emails or phone calls. Don’t buy from this company. No warranty now either so very disappointed.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COWBOY OUTFIT!

We brought a mattress 3 years ago, and now it is unusable. There are flat spots right across the middle causing both my wife and I terrible back pain.

I now see hundred's of people complaining about failing mattresses, it seems that there must have been a serious flaw in there design and a possible reason why they did the 'MUGGY' move to simply shift the company to a new design, meaning they wouldn't honor the warranty's

The website, payments refs everything is exactly the same this must be criminal!!!

PLEASE PEOPLE DO NOT BUY FROM THESE ABSOLUTE DISGRACEFUL COWBOYS!!!!!

Looks beautiful, very poor quality and even worse service

The lux mattress I bought in may 2021 has deformed and apparently Brook and Wilde Ltd no longer exist so my 10 year warranty is useless. Who could know there was a difference when I use the same login details for this ‘new’ company. Looks, smells and sounds like a scam. I would recommend buying from a reputable and ethical company in future, definitely not this company.

Poor quality mattress

For mattresses, avoid this company.

We bought the Elite mattress (medium) in March and it already has X2 dips in it, and weakened edges. Very disappointed considering it markets itself as premium, and has the accompanying cost.

I wish we had gone for a mattress retailer (eg. Simbas)

As the reviews below indicate, the company has been taken over and as such our guarantee is worthless.

Very disappointing - terribly ran company and very poor products (don't get enticed in by the free gifts!).

Like others have written, I think this company should be forced out of business!! Very poor quality products, we got a sofa bed from them less than a year ago, and the mattress became faulty with lumps in just few months. On the reason the company I bought the sofa bed no longer exists, I was informed (by same person I spoke to a year ago, Louis) that the 12 months warranty on the faulty mattress cannot be honoured anymore!!

Avoid being scammed!!!

Bought a sofa bed from Brooke+Wilde a few months back. Unfortunately the mattress started to get deformed and we wanted to exchange it as it was still under warranty. We were told in no uncertain terms that the company that sold us the sofa doesn't exist anymore and that they are operating under a different company now and can't honour the warranty.

There's nothing stopping B+W doing this every month and avoid honouring any warranty for products you might buy from them

Crook & Wilde! This should have been their new trading name

Using deceptive means to run a business.

Brook + Wilde claims to have gone under administration and now running with new trading name Brook + Wilde Sleep. Very suspicious.

I am left with a saggy mattress which costed over a grand for which the warranty is now void due to them claiming to have gone under administration.

They still use the same:
- Contact number as a business
- Same website
- Same branding
- Same product
- Kept details of previous customers for marketing purposes (infringing GDPR which I will raise to ICO)

Beware before you waste your money for a service that is not going to be upheld (including warranty in the longer run)!

Be Warned!!

Beds are comfortable and decent quality. However, “Brooke + Wilde Ltd.” has now gone into administration, and “Brooke + Wilde Sleep Ltd.” is the new trading name. This means that the company I bought my bed from no longer honours any warranty, cover, or guarantee. So when inquiring about returning my mattress I am left to find I have no way to do so. Is this just a coincidence I asked myself, but no, the two companies are almost identical in every way, not just in name. Branding, product names and even the customer service number are the same for both businesses! Personally I find this highly suspicious, although may have just been caught up with the company at the wrong time. 2 stars for the mattress, as a company I would give them 0.

Terrible

Initial buying service easy.
Delivery service good.
1 month use of mattress and it’s finished. I ordered a firm mattress whic they suggested was close to very firm. A month later the mattress edges are flattened when you sit on it. There is a ditch in the mattress and causes terrible back aches.
They agreed to exchange, not return but exchange as they called it a defective mattress.
10 months down the line… no new mattress delivered, no communication, no refund!

Comfortable but questionable quality.

It ripped slightly when lifted using the lifting handles and then the seam came undone. Given the original firm has gone bust the ‘new’ one does not honour the 10 year guarantee so had to remove the cover and get the sewing machine out. Not sure you would expect to have to do that with a supposedly premium product?

Fraudulent business and a complete scam!

Fraudulent business and a complete scam. They used to trade under the name Brook + Wilde and they went into liquidation leaving hundreds, if not thousands, of customers, including myself. with unfulfilled orders and no option to return faulty items. They have now re-opened under a different name, Brook + Wilde Sleep, to avoid their obligations to existing customers. Disgusting business, completely rogue trading practices - avoid avoid avoid!

ROBBED BY BROOK + WILDE

We placed our order for a new luxury hand made mattress as I have Fibromyalgia and suffer with alot of pain.

Brook + wilde looked like a great British company and we we're very excited about receiving our new mattress in 12 weeks.
I had transferred a pretty big deposit of approx £600 and had signed up for the finance plan for the remainder.

I emailed B+W after 11 weeks and was told we would recieve the mattress the following week, we we're over joyed as my Fibromyalgia was getting worst and unfortunately I was spending more time in bed, of which was very uncomfortable, causing me more pain and discomfort.

A few days later I recieved and email saying they had a logistics problems and that it will be delayed.
I waited patiently and after a total of 16 weeks I emailed again, they had no update on when it would be delivered so I politely asked for my deposit back.

They replied and agreed to give me my deposit back and that it will take 2 weeks to process! That was the last email I recieved...... I have no mattress and have recieved no refund from Brook + Wilde!!

I'm sorry but this is just day light robbery and they are getting away with it.

I am fortunate to have a job, I am fortunate to be able to afford such luxury, but I suffer everyday to provide these things for myself and my family and it really has hit us to have lost this much money and to of recieved nothing.

Brook + Wilde has failed to fulfil their end of the contract and have just plainly stole my money. THEY MUST NOT BE ALLOWED TO GET AWAY WITH THIS!!!

200 days return is a SCAM

SCAM - 200 days is fraudulant. We bought a mattress and wanted to return it but they went into liquidation. Now they have the ssame name with one extra word (sleep) they sell the same mattress and stock, website looks the same just with a new URL.

Matress was amazing to start off with and now we have dips where we lie and wake up with sore backs. Do not go with this company.
